Jay Towers in the Morning — Food Bizarre. Machine-transcribed; use the interactive transcript above to jump the player to any line.
00Do a little food bizarre this morning? Yeah. As long as it doesn't involve chicken jelly beans. No, it does not. No. We don't want to do that again. Buffalo Wild Wings has a new alcoholic drink and espresso martini fortified with 10 grams of protein with Buffalo dry rub on the rim. So this is something people are doing now, they're fortifying things with protein. And here's why. Okay. Everybody's on the weight loss shot. It seems like. And the one thing that happens to your body on the weight loss shot is you lose muscle because you're not even a protein. So they're putting protein in everything. I know they dunk in hat. I'm pretty sure Duncan has a protein drink. Okay. Yeah. I think so. I wonder if that's why I'm falling forward. Maybe. Are you getting top heavy? I literally am falling forward. I mean, I definitely need a new bra. I know that's part of the issue, but we'll get you a little protein powder there. It's worried about my bone density. As you should be. Yeah. And your iron blood blood.
00Anyway, that's new, but I didn't have Buffalo wildlings in a really long time. I said something to my friend the other day and I said BW3. Yeah. Nobody. I don't think that's a thing anymore because they took the word whack out of it. So when they first opened because we had one at near the radio station on East Lansing, it was Buffalo wild wings and whack. And then you called it BW3. Right. Because it was 3W. Interesting. I call it BDubs. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it was funny when I said that my friend looked at me and she was like BW3 and I was like, oh, yeah. Older up front. Should we go though? I mean, those like fried pickle chips are so good at the parmesan garlic. Is there still one over by a mansion and nobody? I think so. Yeah, yeah. I feel like there's places we just haven't tried either that we need to look. We have to go to that. Listen, they already wrote us back. That place in Detroit. Yes. Would you see that with the crab legs? We did see that. They're ready for us to be a special guest. Can't wait for us to come. We've got to do that. That's so easy for us to do.
01Why don't we just do that? We'll just do that. Okay. What's that place called? I'm going to arrange that. Crabbs. Crabbs are us. Crabbs sports bar. Crabbs sports bar. What time do they open every day? I wonder if they would do a special open a 10th or I don't have to look that up. Okay. I feel like 10s a normal time for places to open. As part of your executive producer, duties, Chelsea, I've at they open at 5 p.m. No. Oh, maybe they're going to be able to open up early for us one day. I find a good executive producer does one thing and one thing alone. They find ways to get restaurants to open early for talent and morning shows. I work on that. So let's get crab legs 10, 30 for all. All right. Well, how about this as long as we're making a wish list. Yeah. And asking this restaurant to bend over backwards for us, why don't you just bring it in here? I think we need the full experience of going downtown and being there, right? I find a good producer, finds a good co-host who's good at bamboozling people into getting
05them to bring food here. So she could get home early. I want a bamboozle. It's our Paul Corbino, our former boss who's still with us in spirit every year. Yes. He doesn't pass. He's just in LA. He's in LA doing their world now. His national popcorn lover's day and the latest popcorn related news includes a new tomato with a popcorn like aroma and a new type of popcorn that's so good it doesn't need butter. No. No, we need butter on our popcorn. That's not right. It's called super pop. The University of Illinois professors have put it together. We'll see. I don't want tomatoes on my popcorn. No tomatoes? No.
