Foligno Brothers Honor Mom's Memory with Cancer Causes

Minnesota Wild Ford, Marcus Felino, lost his mother, Janice, to breast cancer in 2009. Since then, he and his family have honored her memory through various efforts to support cancer research and community causes. Janice was a devoted hockey mom who supported her kids unconditionally from early morning gear checks to cheering every goal. She made holidays magical with decorations and special meals, and she managed the friendly rivalry between Marcus and his older brother Nick, now, with the Chicago Black Hawks. Sometimes she cleared space for their tussles, but she always emphasized family support above all. The brothers have channeled that competitive spirit into good causes, launching the Felino face-off this season to raise funds for breast cancer. Marcus remembers tagging along with her, seeing her love for helping others through smiles and conversations.
