0:00Well, and welcome to the stupid instrument. I'm your host, Kev Pan. And big thanks to Neil McGraw for sitting in for me yesterday. And today we're talking about Florida State University. Florida State University was founded in 1851 as the West Florida Seminary, making it one of Florida's oldest institutions of higher learning, if you want to call it that. After several reorganizations that officially became Florida State University in 1947 and quickly grew into one of the nation's leading public universities. Today, FSU welcomes one of the country's largest freshman classes and is known for strong academic programs, world-class research, and unfortunately, a football team. See, the Seminole's are famous for chief Aceola planting a flaming spear before games, a tradition that's impressive, even if it usually ends with Gator fans reminding them who's one more games lately.
