Hello, and welcome back to another episode of Lockdown Gators, I am Brandon Olson. And today, we're talking about Harrison Moore Florida Gators Transfer Offensive Blind Men. And the Florida Gators went into the transfer portal to go get on, look, honestly, a bunch of George Tech players, right? And by a bunch, I do mean four. You got quarterback Aaron Filo. Wide receiver Bailey Stockton. I mean, technically, wide receiver are singleton from George Tech by way of Auburn, right? You've got tight end Luke Harper and interior offensive lineman Harrison Moore. And Harrison Moore is someone that many people kind of slot in as a starter at center, right? Which maybe, maybe, and I do think that's the most likely spot.

3:07But I do like to just acknowledge also that Harrison Moore, while everybody goes, oh, yeah, he was, you know, he was George's ex-learning center last year. It's important to remember that Harrison Moore played about 60% of his snaps at center last year. I'm going to do the math real quick just to make sure that that's right. He played 427 snaps at center in 2025 out of his 682. So 63% 62.6. 63% of his snaps were at center. Just pat on the back right there. That was pretty good math considering I just threw that out there. Well, so yeah, he played center for George Tech. He played center for Buster Falkner. He played center for at least the Garden of Web game and the occasional other game for Aaron Filo. Right? But I'm not sold.

4:09That's his best spot long term now. Hear me out. I still think it's raising a play. But it is also important to acknowledge that Harrison Moore played again 427 snaps at center. He played another 254 at left guard. And Harrison Moore is someone that we spoke about a good bit in the earlier spring. I guess I'll say like the four spring ball happened. He's someone that we spoke about when trying to piece together what this offensive line might look like. Because of course, the Florida Gators went into the transfer portal to add. But Jillian offensive lineman. Right? He got a Egan Boyer and a mecca. Gorge. You're going to be tackless. So we don't really need to talk about them much today. You went into the portal to get. TJ Shanahan from Penn State. You have all the high school guys, right? But you also have all the guys that were here in 2025 or most of the guys over here in 2025.

5:15Which by the way, I do think it's important to acknowledge as we've talked about plenty of times before. Florida under Billy Napier and under Rob sale would pretty often bring in high school recruits on the offensive line. That had athleticism that were nasty blockers. And you could develop, right? And the issue was that they they never developed them. And that's frankly with with Rob sale. That's what happens when you have. A guy that that is not in an SEC quality coach, right? That like that stuff. He could he developed guys to work in the sun belt, right? Like he can develop guys to work in the group of five. But the SEC know he can't. And so I think that when we're talking about. Now having all those guys, but with Phil Troutline as your offensive line coach. I do think that that matters where the like like I'm someone who I used to be a big Rod Kearney recruiting fan, right?

6:21And I still like him. But I'm someone who like I was like, oh, this dude like he looks like he's going to be a dude. I mean, never really came to fruition. But now with Phil Troutline, that might help, right? Like guys like Phil Troutline can help develop you where others were. What's the word we can use that's not polite, but not tubered in NEPT. In NEPT is the word we're going to use. And so now you got Phil Troutline, which is obviously better coaching. You got all this competition. But the thing is that there's there's no real spot determined. I think left guard is the most likely spot to already have been decided or or the most likely spot to be decided early. With Nigie Harris who's returning as left guard, but even then. I don't know if there is a world in which this is possible, but I feel like there should be a world in which. It's not Nigie or Rod Kearney at left guard, but maybe Harrison Moore will talk about that and make it back with lockdown gators.

And I do think that there should be a world in which you say, hey, he's not your starting center, but might be your starting off.

9:27Again, I'm not saying that he should be your starting left guard or should be playing left guard, but I am going to say that it's worth a conversation. Right? Because as you've heard me talk about many, many, many times and you will hear me talk about many, many, many times again, including tomorrow, honestly. The offensive line is a very unique position group to settle right where it's not always about just playing the best offensive lineman because sometimes the best offensive lineman is not the guy that gives you the best chance to win. And the way that football should work and the way that this coaching staff has always preached is we care about winning, right? What would a Johnson wall say when he got hired? Winners win. I'm a winner. We're going to win.

10:30Buster Faulkner, what's the most important stat points, not yards, not explosive plays points. Brad White, what's the most expensive stat or what's the most important stat points allowed not yards allowed not sex, not turnovers points. Why? Because that's with the sides for all the points. They care about winning. And when you care about winning, sometimes you go, you know what? This guy might be our best offensive lineman at this position, but he is not the best player for this unit. And at center, you can have a guy like Harrison Moore who's six, five, three, five, four center. Slightly taller than Jake slaughter who is salt off or center, but Harrison Moore. Could be. Center or guard has played center and guard last year, played again, like I said, you know, 62% of his snaps at center.

11:32The other 37 and a half percent at guard throughout his career. The number is much more evenly split where it's probably about 50, I'm going to say 54% center and 46% guard. I'm not saying that he should be your guard. I'm just saying that there should be a world in which we say, hey, what if the best thing for the Florida Gators in 2026? It would have been best thing to win for the Florida Gators in 2026 is Harrison Moore at left guard, Jason's end of my last seven. I think that should be a possibility or a conversation. I think he will be the Florida Gator starting center. He has the experience in the offense. He knows how to run Buster Balkner's offense. If Aaron Filo is the starting quarterback, he has snapped the ball before to Aaron Filo. He knows how to work with Filo. They practice together for two years. He knows how to do things with Aaron Filo.

12:36He knows how to do things in Buster Balkner's offense. And maybe the most important part. He's experienced. And for center, you want a guy that's experienced. You want a guy that can make the calls at the line and make the adjustments of the line. Here's why I hate that being an argument, though, because I do, it's something to acknowledge. I hate it being an argument because then Jason's animals never going to be the guy. Because the only way to get experience is to get experience. And so if you're going to go, OK, well, it's the experience. And it's like, all right, dude, like Jason's animals are just pulled out because he's never going to get the nod. If you're going, oh, experience. And they're not giving him the experience. I'll say that. I think Harrison Moore should be your starting center. But I think that everybody should be open to the idea that, hey, maybe your best option is Jason's end of my last center. Harrison Moore that far. Maybe. I love Nigie. Love Rodcarnie. Neither of them were super impressive in 2025. Maybe just had that conversation. If you're Florida.
