Firefighter Injured in Birmingham House Fire

A firefighter was injured Monday morning while crews fought a house fire in Birmingham. The call came in around 8.45 a.m. to a spot near 16th place Southwest and Boise Avenue. When responders arrived, flames and smoke were pouring out of the one-story home. Teams moved fast and knocked down the blaze without it spreading further. The injured firefighter went straight to a nearby hospital for treatment. Luckily, authorities report no other injuries from the incident. Investigators of still working to figure out what sparked the fire. Early signs point to it being contained to adjust that property.
