Finicky
describes someone who is hard to please, very particular, or overly picky about small details, often more than necessary. It can be used for people, animals, and even tasks or systems.
Examples:
1- Josh lost sleep over the font on his presentation slides. “Arial is too boring, Calibri is too basic,” he muttered. His coworkers just rolled their eyes — Josh was so finicky when it came to design.
2- The startup hired a new investor from New York. Within a week, everyone was stressed — he was finicky about grammar in emails, seating arrangements, and even the brand of water in the fridge.
