Welcome to the retirement quick tips podcast your daily guide to preparing for and living your best retirement. I'm your host Ashley Michike and this week I'm talking about the benefits of practicing quiet wealth. Why that's important especially for retirees to be intentional about being quiet when it comes to money. So I'll explain what that means and I'll share with you why that's so important. So if you're new to the podcast welcome I'm a financial advisor and co-owner of True North Retirement Advisors for the last 18 years I've helped my clients build wealth and create a plan for a confident retirement. And this podcast is dedicated to helping you do the same one of the style trends that has gained popularity in recent years is known as quiet luxury or stealth wealth. Think of the style of the British royalty like Kate Middleton one of my personal favorite style icons or the cast of succession there's no flashy logos there's no branding it's
just high quality a well made clothing that stands the test of time. I actually love this style and have been dressing this way especially for work where long before it surged in popularity. But the same idea can be applied to your overall approach with money. So this week I'm talking about the habits and mindset of quiet millionaires people who have built real wealth but don't feel the need to broadcast it to the world. Because many people feel pressure today to play the status game with money and we want to avoid that because it's a dangerous path. They want others to know they're successful they want a signal that they've made it that comes from many different places it can come from pride a lot of times it can come from insecurity but spending money to prove your success is a dangerous financial trap. So this week I'll explain what quiet millionaires do differently and why their approach often leads to far greater building wealth in the long run and far greater financial security.
Come on back tomorrow. I'm going to talk about what exactly defines a quiet millionaire. What do I mean when I say that it's not just someone who's not shouting from the rooftops I'm a millionaire look at me I've made it. It's a lot more subtle and nuanced than that. Thank you so much for joining me today my name is Ashley Michike and this is a Retirement Quick Tips Podcast. Quick Tips Podcast. Quick Tips Podcast. So this is a quick tip podcast.
