Fifteen-Vehicle Crash on M73, Five Hospitalized

Five people ended up in the hospital, including two children after the pile-up just before midnight. Emergency crews sprang into action quickly. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent three fire appliances and a heavy rescue unit to handle the chaos at the scene. The Scottish ambulance service rode out six ambulances and two special operations teams. Three folks got treated right there on site while the five patients headed to Glasgow hospitals. Northbound lanes stay closed between junction two, at Garcosh, and junction three at Mullinsburn, backing up traffic until they reopen just before. 4 a.m. on Monday, officials are now piecing together what sparked the crash, reminding drivers to stay cautious on busy motorways like this one.
