Ford a highway patrol is hunting for the driver of a black Ford Mustang who sparked a deadly crash on Interstate 75 Southbound in Manatee, County. It went down on April 20 at around 6.28 a.m. just south of state road 64 involving three vehicles and leaving one man dead. The Mustang cut from the left lane into the center, slamming into a Chevy Trailblazer. That sent the Chevy veering right into the path of an oncoming semiconductor trailer causing a brutal side impact that flipped the big rig onto its roof and shut down all southbound lanes. The 34-year-old semi-driver from New Smyrna didn't make it while the 63-year-old Chevy driver from Palmetto only had minor injuries. Traffic backed up for hours as crews cleared the wreckage. Troopers described the fleeing Mustang as black with rear louvers and maybe a stick on camera in the back window. The driver was a stocky guy in a grey hoodie who stopped to briefly before peeling out southbound. If you've got dash cam footage or any tips, hit up FHPE by dialing star FHPE on your cell that star 347 or call crime stoppers.
