FedEx Driver's Trial: Jury Decides Horner's Fate

With driver Tanner Horner, the 34-year-old admitted to Capitol Murder right before his trial kicked off last week. Now the jury is deciding if he gets the death penalty or life in prison after he snatched her from her paradise, Texas Home, on November 30th, 2022. Horner was dropping off a Christmas package of Barbies when he grabbed Athena, according to his own story to police. He claimed he accidentally hid her with his van while backing up, panicked, and strangled her inside the truck. He even blamed an alter-ego named Zero for taking over during the attack. Family members bolted from the courtroom, two broken to stay, while several jurors broke down sobbing as the audio captured Athena asking if he was A. Kidnapper, and begging for her mom amid her screams. Defense lawyers painted Horner as mentally broken from fetal alcohol syndrome, autism, lead exposure and brain issues, pushing for life over death.
