Father Buried Baby Alive, New Mexico Outraged

Mom Crystal Phillips called cops just after 9.30 p.m. on February 8th, when Hannan wouldn't prove where J.J. was. The next day, searchers found the infant with his head and left arm packed in dirt, a busted skull, and soil clogging his airways, docs ruled he got. Buried while still breathing, the stroller turned up nearby, along with one of J.J.'s tiny footprints. Folks in the community are reeling from this nightmare, with the San Juan County Sheriff calling it a gut-wrenching loss and ripping New Mexico's. Just a system for dropping the ball. The family had a long track record with child welfare folks, full of red flags they got ignored. When cops grilled Hannan, he fessed up that J.J. was hurt real bad, that he knew the boy was gone, and called it a huge mistake.
