The Atlanta Falcons made a key front office hire this week, bringing back Kevin Winston as their vice president of Player Affairs. Winston's been over 15 years in that role with the team before moving on, and he just wrapped up two seasons with the Carolina Panthers. Earlier this week, the Falcons announced the move, highlighting Winston's deep experience across the NFC South. He's also worked with the Teva Bay Buccaneers and New York Jets, plus time in NFL League operations, giving him ties to three of the four division, teams over the past two decades. Meanwhile, the team is shaking up its roster by planning to release wide receiver Darnel Mooney before Free Agency starts next week. Mooney put up 992 receiving yards last season over two years in Atlanta. That move clears over $7 million in salary cap space, leaving the Falcons with just over $15 million to spend as the new league.
