Faith's Bench: A Heart Hero's Journey

0:00On April 9, in Shrewsbury, right by the English bridge, there's a bright red bench dedicated to Faith Harrison, a 24-year-old who beat a 7-hour heart attack at age 22, back in January 2024. It's one of 65 benches the British Heart Foundation placed across the UK for their 65-year milestone, honoring folks living with heart. Issues Faith had emergency surgery to remove a blood clot, blocking 90% of one artery, and Doc said she was lucky to survive. A former personal trainer, bodybuilder, hockey player, and runner, she couldn't go back to those intense workouts, so she pivoted and opened her own. Pilates studio nearby. She wants anyone sitting on that bench to grab life by the horns, chase dreams without fear, and push limits to find real comfort. But when her story hit the news, folks questioned it hard, accusing her of steroids, or drugs, since heart attacks don't fit the stereotype of a young, fit woman like her, turns out, it was congenital.
