Now stop in for the flaky filet of fish, the crispy snack wrap, or a large fries for just $2.99. Limited time only, price and participation may vary. Cannot be combined with any other offer. Price what's up here on the air, thanks for holding. Yeah, I think I'm officially dead myself into a whole I can't get out of. Okay, what's your situation? Well, you know, it all started, like it always does, trying to impress a girl on the first day. I told her I was the regional director of my company, you know, I was nervous and I wanted to sound successful, but I'm actually just an entry-level analyst. And that is that the whole you dug in? Well, see, now I think I'm busted because fast forward three months, but we'll get into it. I'm crazy about her and she just told me her dad's best friend is the actual fee of

the firm that I work for. Oh, you're in trouble. Yeah, yeah, small world, right? World. Yeah, so apparently her dad's best friend, the CEO of the company that I work for. He wants us to come over for dinner this weekend and talk about my vision for the regional branches. Yeah. I feel like he knows you're not. Yeah. He's about to call you out. He's about to call you out. Then embrace it. Just embrace it as a smile and then be like, I was just trying to impress her. She's so awesome. Yeah. I came up with a title. I know it was a real title. Oh. I mean, you better come up with a plan for the regional division. We might as well present it. I'm just an analyst, but if you really want my opinion, and then you whip out this whole PowerPoint presentation, then you get a right, you get a promotion and then she really falls for you. What I would do is as you're sitting at dinner and then he asks you, I would get up and take off running. Open the front door. Don't you close the front door. Open it and just run so they can see you running away in the streets.

Right up to you. You can take off running or pull out the power. Oh. Yeah, I think PowerPoint's not a bad idea, but I do agree. I think he already knows. Of course he knows. He's got a lift of all of us. Of course he has. That's somebody. All right, man. Thanks for calling in, Bryce. Yeah, thanks. All right. All right. All right. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Let me show you one few things. Show you a few things. All right. Hey. Oh. Linda, I'm about to get into the funniest excuses to get out of work. Have you heard one or you used one? I've heard one. What did you hear? I heard. So this girl, she left her lunch. She never came back. back and we're trying to figure out where she went. So she called back later on. She said that she swallowed her tongue ring and she had glory in for emergency surgery and she never came

out to her. So she got fired and she came, she got hired back a week later because the supervisor was her mom. So her mom fired her. You have to get surgery? Oh, she was just kidding. She just made that up. I was thinking if she never came back to work, that surgery didn't go well. But she hired back and she survived. No, no, yeah, she just made it up and she had swallowed her tongue ring. She never came back to work and we're like, are you okay? Where are you at? She's like, oh, well, I got to go because I'm going in right now. So she gets fired. Her mom fires her and her mom hires her back. Yes, a week later. Okay. Well, thanks Linda. Thanks for sharing that story with us. Oh, you're welcome. One person said that their wife said he had to come home immediately. Everyone was concerned. Then later he walked back into work as his wife was on the radio in one 500 bucks because she was able to convince him to leave work immediately without

telling him it was a radio contest. We got to do that. I just need you to leave what you do it right now. That's a judge. That's a judge. That's a judge. That's the reason to do those old guys. The guy called out because he got lost in the woods all weekend. He didn't get back until like 4 a.m. the next morning. Somebody called into work said their friends dog died. And she was, she was, was it going to come for her? She just need to time to herself to process the loss. Your friends. They worked from home, but had to leave an online meeting because a squirrel fell down their chimney and was in their house. Their goldfish was drowning. And then they walked out before the manager could process the physics of that statement. So they left. So these are the funny excuses to get out of work. They need to leave work early because their car was low on gas. I can see that being excused because you probably, I got to be somewhere at a certain time. Oh, I got to stop and get gas. Kind of early. So 877 9371047, the funny excuse to get out of work. Their kid got a piece stuck up their nose. Their parent got out of

their cage. It was chasing their wife around the house. Oh my gosh. They need to leave because their cat was having an existential crisis and wouldn't stop meowing. They couldn't come to work because the reflection looked judgy that morning and they needed a mental healthy to repair the relationship with the mirror. Hey, you know what? I kind of get it. That's a whole thing. They needed to leave because their dog locked their son out of the house. I feel like that's valid. That's legit. We didn't say that they're fake. They were just the funny excuses you had to leave work. And so far, those are all real, but they were just really funny. If you've got one to add the list, call us at 877 9371047. This is Julian Edelman from Games with Names. I want to take a second to talk about something that's personal to me. I've had the privilege of working closely with Robert Kraft for a long time. And one thing I've always respected is how seriously he takes up standing up to hate. As a Jewish athlete, my identity

is something I am proud of. But I also know what it feels like to be singled out for it. That's why this new commercial for the Blue Square Alliance against hate that aired during the big game really hit home. It's about showing up for someone when they're targeted, even if you don't have the perfect words. And sometimes standing next to someone is enough. And you could show support by sharing the Blue Square. No one knows what the future holds, but you deserve a weather app that can help.
