Ex-Music Producer's Fox Rescue Mission

0:00On March 6, Les Hemsdok, once a top music producer behind Hits from Jive Bunny, has spent the last seven years rescuing Fox's and other animals. He recently took in Furn, a 13-year-old silver Fox saved from a fur farm. Now she enjoys a cozy life at his home in Nottinghamshire, curling up on the sofa for movie nights. Hemsdok cares for a small Fox family, including Addy, Ben, who he rescued at just 10 days old and Cleo. While some animals get released back into the wild after recovery, these ones stay because they couldn't survive alone without proper rearing from their mothers. For Hemsdok, the rewards far outweigh the hard work. He says the trust and affection from the Foxes beat anything from his music days, even though they're not easy pets and demand a big commitment. He's now a trustee with the Fox Angels charity, which taught him how to care for them. Last year, he even released a charity cover of the 1974 hit Fox on the Run to boost awareness and support their efforts.
