Ex-Cop Banned for Life After Racist, Sexist Chat

Messages in a group chat with a convicted sex offender. This went down between October 2023 and January 2024, and a misconduct panel ruled at gross misconduct. He'd have been fired if he hadn't quit back in February. The chat was full of highly offensive stuff, including jabs that tied into his job as an officer. One of the guys in the group was a registered sex offender, Falgus knew from school, busted in 2023 for making indecent images of kids. That dude got arrested again in 2024 with his phone seized. Investigators dug into the phone and found Falgus knew about his friend's offender status way earlier than he admitted. He told his bosses he only learned in October 2024, but chat logs showed he was in the loop by October 2023. The panel called his straight up dishonesty, saying his actions broke rules on honesty,
