On this episode, host Kendall Fisher joins Director of the NetSuite Business Accelerator, George Ploss. NetSuite was founded with a mission to help entrepreneurs unlock business growth, and more than two decades and 28,000 customers later, we've never wavered from that mission. Ploss discusses how the Business Accelerator expands on that, helping entrepreneurs and leaders from diverse communities build successful businesses with unified information they need to achieve their vision. We kick things off with an introduction to George and his career journey, which began with nine years in the Marine Corps (2:49). After spending a few years as a solutions engineer with Oracle, he led Oracle's Veterans Program (5:36) and then the Solutions Consultant Academy here at NetSuite (10:32) with diversity and inclusion always at the forefront of his mind (13:41). All of that eventually unfolded in an idea to create the NetSuite Accelerator program (18:00). More Black businesses have been founded in the past two years than in the past quarter century, and Ploss says that's why this is an optimal time to help them build for sustainable growth (21:40). But the program will expand beyond Black businesses. Ploss explains the Business Accelerator will eventually include other diverse communities, too (23:37). He explains that the program will offer processes, best practices, guidance and technology required for sustainable growth (26:04).
