Everyone is Welcome Here: Empowering the Heart with Author Katie Gray
About this episode
Welcome back to the Let’s be friends podcast. Get ready for a love expansion with author Katie Gray, who is here to share the harmonic melody of her beautiful soul song.
Katie is a writer, singer, counselor, and elder caregiver devoted to helping people who are hurting. She just released her first book, “Journey of the Empowered Heart,” in fall 2021. Inspired by her full self-recovery from a 17-year addiction to food and bulimia, she utilizes her voice, experience, and wisdom to assist others through the healing process.
Katie has been my dear friend for over a decade, coming to me as a sister and spiritual guide divinely at the beginning of my awakening. So it is truly an honor and blessing to have her with us today!
In this episode, Katie and I discuss friendship, healing from addiction, the music industry, what causes suffering, her 14 stages circular odyssey for healing, healing with plant medicine, dogs, and cats, my visit to the psych ward, how the world is full of mystics in the most unexpected places, methods of healing, what is self-love, how to get your needs met, courage, bulimia and food addiction, dementia, how to cope with death, understanding love, mental health misdiagnosis, and so much more!
