Evening Edition: What Was Accomplished At The Latest NATO Summit?

Last week's NATO Summit in Ankara, Turkey was the latest testing ground for whether or not America's allies are making meaningful investments in their own defense so the alliance is prepared to meet evolving security challenges. President Trump came in hot at the summit claiming that NATO allies failed two key tests as he derided the lack of international cooperation on the conflict with Iran, and his aspirations for the U.S. to purchase Greenland. But in the end, President Trump said many different discussions he had with world leaders were positive, and he assured them the United States would remain in the alliance if they begin paying a new 5% of GDP for defense spending by 2035.
