EU, UK Condemn Israel Settler Violence

The European Union and the United Kingdom are calling on Israel to stop a recent wave of violence by Jewish settlers against Palestinians in the Occupied West Bank. This surge has happened since Israel started its war with Iran. The United Nations reports six Palestinians killed in settler attacks over the past 11 days. Here this week, settlers raided the village of Kervet, Abu Fala, north east of Ramallah, killing free Palestinians, two were shot in the head, and a third died from a cardiac arrest after inhaling tear gas. The day before, a 28-year-old man was shot dead and his brother wounded near Susia in the South Habran Hills. Days earlier, two brothers were killed in Karyut, between Ramallah and Nablus. The UK called the killings appalling and demanded swift investigations. The EU said the violence is unacceptable and risks more unrest, urging Israel to protect Palestinians and follow international law.
