And you know, every year when this happens, you typically, you know, maybe a writer or someone will go out and kind of taste a new food and tell you about it. But you know, one of our own here, where's many hats, you know, he's a takesman, he's a reporter, he's everything. And he's also apparently a food influencer. So career Elliott Sure Parks tasting. You think about quick footwork in and out of the pocket off of play action and from under center with zero hesitation throws over the middle of the field. Unfortunately for us, the Eagles, unfortunately for us,

5:08none of that describes Jalen Hertz very well. So I can understand why there's some consternation about Jalen Hertz and is fit within this scheme. That be in the case I'm calling with two reasons why we should have some optimism with Jalen Hertz. I'm excited for this. All right. All right. Make me feel better about all this. What do you got? All right. I'm going to make you feel better. Reason number one, Jalen Hertz is denying it publicly, but it's kind of obvious that he has lost some size. And I think that he's doing that with the intent of trying to sit this scheme with the quickness in and out of the pocket with the footwork that is required from under center and for play action to make this work. They will speed up his footwork, which will also speed up his throws off of play action. So he can slightly better fit this scheme. But reason number two is the bigger reason. Sean Manion comes from the Green Bay branch of the Shanahan tree. And last year in Green Bay, they were unique in that they were unusually good

6:12and with a high volume, by the way, of not necessarily just living over the middle of the field, but designing out breaking routes for their quarterback, Jordan Love. Yeah. You know, it's interesting you bring up that because Shanahan, McVey, Rams, Niners, come up a lot. But I think the one that we probably should have paid the most attention to and probably should look back and look at to your point is the Packers. And they did get love out of the pocket a lot. I think there's probably more similarities between love and hurts than than we've noticed. And that's probably the tell I want to be I think that's if if jail is going to be good at this, he's probably going to be good at in the Jordan love vein, who has a good deep ball and also gets on the move a little bit. Absolutely. 22% of his highest category of completions, 22% of those completions last season were on short outbreaking routes. And I watched the last two full seasons of every Don Teveon Wix target. And I might think of Wix. I think of a big physical guy. You can be pressing runs lands over the middle, but that's not how they primarily used him. An extremely high percentage of his targets

7:16were super skimmed up throws off of motion on short outbreaking routes where he was wide open for the quarterback. So I have some confidence that Sean Manion will be able to blend the Shanahan style with Jalen Hertz. Yeah. And look at my call. You got it, man. We appreciate it. Well, he's got got me. I saw the film. I mean, he's got the film. He's got the breakdowns. He's got the snaps of Wix. The Wix element, we haven't talked about him in a few weeks. You because he hasn't played the preseason, but he was the story early in camp. And he's the number two receiver on this team. I mean, there's a chance on Sunday, De Teveon Wix is a huge story. I mean, he could be a guy that catches a touchdown that wins the game. I mean, he's a big deal on Sunday. Yeah, it's going to be interesting to see how they they married the run game to the play action game and and how quickly Jalen does get the ball out his hand. Cause I think that's the, that's the thing we don't know. Cause we, when we think it is offense, we think a quick throws and all this other stuff. So, so what is Jalen going to do? Or how are they going to get Jalen prepared to run this offense and be efficient at the other thing to go back to Green Bay and where Manion was last year?

8:18They did play games at the end of the season with Malik Willis, right? And stylistically, Malik Willis and Jalen Hertz are the most similar of all these quarterbacks, right? They're, they're guys that could scramble, they can run size wise similar. They did change their offense a lot where Willis would run. So we'll see how the Jalen runs part of this comes in. But there's, there's definitely reasons to be optimistic that Manion's going to make this work and make it work pretty quick there. Can we get to a huge favorite segment of every single Friday? Can we guess the takes here? Hey, this segment. Why? It's such a fun thing. All we got to do is guess what everyone's saying on Monday. P's Monday's that Hertz going to be able to, people are going to think that Hertz you know can really thrive in this offense. I think that's going to be the case. 10:25We're talking about Patrick Mohm's and he read. He's held the on of the week one. The guy's like bionic. I mean, it's, Rashee Roy is going to play. Oh, we think the entire season. I don't know. I just think we're kind of crazy to not talk about them enough. Well, I mean, you look at Super Bowl predictions, you know, wherever you want to look or whoever say in them, very few have the Chiefs. And it just had been before last year for what five or six straight years, it was mostly Chiefs, right? That way it was every year. You just kind of said, that's probably the Chiefs. And now everyone's just pretending that they're not in it anymore. It's like, did we ever do this with a Brady and Bale check team or did like people always at least have them in consideration, talking about the contenders. I guess they were always in consideration. The comparison would be some Brady Tours ACL first game of 08. So this would be the 09 of, it's kind of hard to remember what people were thinking. And then now they did make the playoffs. We said, we should have every year. It's not always the quarterback that has the best year. It's not always the quarterback that has the MVP year that's holding at the party at the end of the season. So I feel like Dylan hurts, this year he does that something to prove. And I do want to see, I heard he said, I want to see it go slow. I want to see it go rhythm to the offense because that was said a lot when Dylan hurts his and when he has to prove coming into the season guys. But it's football Friday, man.
