79 - For the last 28 years, Eric Christiansen has created films chronicling trauma, human resilience and grief recovery. Supported by clinical research and used as a tool by top mental health institutions, Eric’s films educate and create awareness around the complex and myriad issues of trauma and grief.  As a director, he strives to shed light on the hardships of individuals struggling after trauma and eliminate the stigma attached to those suffering from mental health issues.

His latest film, unMASKing HOPE, chronicles the extraordinary stories of a disparate group of survivors struggling to heal from trauma. From survivors of sexual assault, mass shootings, and first responders to military combat, the Holocaust, and 9/11, the film goes behind their MASKs to experience the trauma and moral injury that has scarred their souls. As we are taken on their journeys, we realize that these brave individuals follow similar paths and share a powerful message of HOPE, which inspires us to unMASK our own HOPE.
