Sam has worked as a backing vocalist, songwriter and lead vocalist and has sold in excess of 3 million records. In the 1980/90’s she had her biggest hit Stop which was in the top ten , including a few number 1’s, in many countries around the world.
She has made 8 studio albums, 1 EP and 1 live album.
As a lead and backing vocalist she has worked with the great and the good, past and present, including;
David Gilmour,Dionne Warwick, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Fish, George Harrison, Joe Brown, Joe Cocker, Jools Holland, Pink Floyd, Spandau Ballet, Steve Marriot. To name but a few!
In 2007 Sam experienced problems with her voice. A firm diagnosis has never been made, but if you are interested in such things, she cannot achieve pitch and closure simultaneously.
She no longer sings live professionally, but has just made her 8th album which is called, wait for it…. Number 8!
