This one goes out to all of the people that are looking to gain more control of their next day or just deciding that they've had enough for the day and they can move on, they just don't know how to let go. And that's a lot of us because I find myself sometimes still working through until really late in the night and then I used to find myself more often. The next day not being fully prepared for what the day had in store for me whether it was meetings or how I needed to show up. Anyway, I created an evening routine, not just the morning routine that we went over yesterday, but I created an evening routine so that I could show up better. And I did this about six years ago and I've got this great PDF for you that I fully build out. So if you do need this one, this is episode 709. We're gonna go over this if you need the beautiful PDF. Let me know. I'll send this over to you. Here's how it goes. I'm Tristan. This is your daily real estate. It's a podcast. It's a show
about five minutes every day to make you better in real estate or just to show up better as a human today. We're going to be talking about how to show better as a human. How to show up better as a human evening routine. It's an acronym called prepare yesterday. We went over Marvel. So it's prepared to Marvel because the evening one is first because in the evening, I'm already deciding how I'm going to show up tomorrow. Because if I don't, I don't always show up like I would want to show up. Pete is for planning. Go through and take a look. What appointments do you have tomorrow? Who are you going to talk to? What time are you going to spend working on your business, prospecting, or maybe reading, or working out, or you're going to be with your family? I don't know. Decide your top priorities for the next day and then decide, how do I need to show up with this and with what energy? Because sometimes you don't plan ahead. You're like, oh, man, I just should have
shown up a little bit better if I would have planned. For me, Pete, plan. Next one, R, P, R. Review what happened today? Like go through your notes, go through the voicemails, go through your emails. And if you're saying, Tristan, I just don't have time for that. Make time. Because as you review your day, you missed a call. Man, you better call tomorrow. You missed a few emails. You better email them back. Put them into your calendar tomorrow email back if you can't do it today. And conversations you had that you thought, oh, you know, I need to follow up with this person. I almost forgot to put it into my notes. I almost forgot to put it into my CRM. The review time is the catch-all. I review what, what happened and how I showed up. And I'm like, got it. I know I need to do tomorrow. E, P, R, E, exercise. Again, like yesterday, remember I said short little exercise, which is motion enhances emotion. Same thing here. Drop down and give me 20 push-ups. 40 push-ups. Do
jumping jacks. Punch the air. Dance a little bit. Do the air guitar, right? Whatever you want. It's about movement. This isn't going to replace your full on exercise. It's just get into the motion now. So it interrupts this pattern and releases some good chemicals. P, practice gratitude. This is where you're going to go through. I have a four question, and I can't remember right now because I wrote it down and I have it as a PDF. These four questions that I ask myself. Let me see if I can remember, but I needed to get into the point of having the right mindset for gratitude. So in order to get into that right state, I made these questions for myself. I'm like, hey, who made your life easier today? Who do you need to think by text or call or video message? What are you proud of today? You personally, right? Things like that. I forgot the fourth one. But practice gratitude. How do you do it? Are you just simply right? Hey, what am I
thankful for today? P-R-E-P-A affirmations. Again, yesterday we went over morning affirmations. Right now, evening affirmations. It's time to wind down. You've done a lot. You just have to realize it. Part of it is for me. It's accepting that it's the evening. Then now I need to transition and do other things and let go of the things that I just couldn't tackle today because hopefully I wake up tomorrow and I could tackle them there if not. Guess what? I don't have to worry about them. But I'm going to be more optimistic and say, yes, I am going to wake up. And I'll do it then because what I've realized over the last 22 years of being in real estate is that I'm never going to finish. This thing's going to keep going. And you got to stop, right? So for me, I'm looking at the affirmations to get me into that right mindset to kind of let go. Are reflect on your actions to consider how you treated people, behaved, made decisions, man.
This is probably the hardest one for me as I'm reflecting back. I'm saying, I should have been nicer here. Ooh, I shouldn't have said that. I shouldn't have texted that. I should have emailed it with more clarity or it could have been like, you know, the way you handled that one Tristan, that was pretty good. Do more of that. Whatever it is, take time to reflect. It just makes you a better human. And then the last one, super easy. E-P-R-E-P-A-R-E for embrace. I need you to embrace the night except the day is done and allow yourself to rest. Anyway, that's prepared. Yesterday was marble. If you need this, this is episode 709. I have a special PDF for this one. So if you need it, message me and share this with somebody you think may need this as well. Have an awesome day.
