Retired Delta Airlines Captain Valerie Walker tells her amazing story of determination and NEVER letting anything or anyone stand in front of your dreams. A true AVGEEK from childhood after her first flight aboard a Lockheed Electra, Capt. Walker started her career flying cutout cardboard boxes and flew many different aircraft including the DC-3 in Botswana at age 23, B-17 Flying Fortress, the T-37 & T-38 and many others. She later became one of the first female pilots and first female Captain at Western Airlines flying several Boeing aircraft and retiring as a 757/767 Captain for DELTA Airlines.
