About this episode

Born and raised in downtown Philadelphia, Edward "Eddy" Ta did well in high school and chose to go to Penn State to pursue Mechanical Engineering. In order to help pay for school, Eddy joined Navy ROTC. This led him to being accepted into the Nuclear Navy as a Submarine Officer. Eddy talks about the submarine pipeline from Power School, Prototype, SOBC, to the boat. Eddy discusses some of the early challenges he faced and how he overcame them to eventually earn his Dolphins (Submarine Warfare Device). Finally Eddy talks about his time so far on his shore tour in Misawa, Japan.
