In this episode, my guest was Louis Marinelli, president of YesCalifornia. We discussed the new CalExit 3.0 efforts, in which 22 left-leaning coastal California counties would eventually secede from the United States. The remaining 36 California counties would remain in the United States. This effort seeks to put forth a citizen’s ballot initiative that would amend California’s Constitution, resulting in this secession.
In addition to detailing how CalExit 3.0 would work, we discussed California’s culture and political climate, peaceful secession movements, the Jeffersonian tradition and local political control, classical liberalism, and much more.
