1:01Yeah, it's I actually Visited one I think two years ago 2024 the Toronto fan Expo and I kind of had a sense of it because I went and just hung out with Jed McKay over there I just found Jed as zero in a like hey Jed and he's like yeah, okay, cuz we were working on I think when Either vengeance or fist of contour. I'm not sure which one vengeance So I just hung out with him and I kind of got a feeling of how it went I met so many people so many of my heroes growing up Mianik paket who's also here Nick Bradshaw Steve McNeathen was there, which was like I'm like wow, okay as like really soft struck so I had an idea of how it worked And so this being my you know Meet tabling for the first time it was a bit how is it being on the other side then it was it was interesting It's interesting because it definitely as someone who's tabling you don't get as much time to hang out with Everyone as you do when you're just visiting because when you're visiting you don't really have and like who I'm you don't have any duties

2:05You're just right fapping about yeah as a as someone who's you know a guest some you always feel this Desire to make sure everyone's having a good time so people come by the stand you engage with them and You know it's funny because everyone was telling me this yesterday. I apparently price my head sketches and bus sketches too low and I got a little overgrown yesterday with all the stuff and you know the whole just idea of like talking to people So everyone was like oh my god, that's too low You're you're charging too low and I'm like okay, so I charge I did a bit higher It comes to my table and goes That's still so low and I'm like Yeah, Nick is this so sweet But yeah, it's definitely different because you you have different Different things that you're doing right visiting because when I visited jet at fan exploit was still like I was literally at the at the con

3:05Like at the table, but if I wanted I could just walk away right no one would miss me. Yeah, right this time I have a table with my name behind if I walk away as like always there's nobody at your table. Yeah, so yeah, it's definitely a different experience How did you get into this then? Into what sorry what you do? Oh, right? Oh, it's such a long story It's because yeah again, I grew up in India West Bengal As you know the comic scene is not really That big over there's a lot of artists this creator. Whereas India is like a gold mine but as an industry comics is Fultoring and it has been for a while for a little while But when I was coming up people were like it was the thing to put money into right uh because When I was growing up Basically, we had like imprints that would print both Marvel and DC stories under their name That's like a way to introduce it to us and it would be like these ratty little formats Like they were small formats. Yeah, the first time I found out that you have formats bigger than that was

4:09Like embarrassingly late in life like I think I was in college or beyond that because all I read were like It was like this size. It was the digest format. Yeah, but for single issues And it was like very cheaply priced but also you couldn't find it everywhere It was already gone the way of the back back issues But we don't also have a good good storefront system to Store back issues that people can you know file through none of that so you usually found those issues in like Used bookstores or ratty little new stands, right like it is hanging on a string and That's where I best the situation I grew up in and I fell in love with comics, but I didn't have enough to consume and I would you know usually I said the story something as I would like I would be traveling back home from school and I would like walk a part of that path To save money to buy a comics because my parents thought it was a waste of time

5:13I mean honestly, the jury's still out on that But I did that and that's how I built up my collection and it was like like the time it was very much in the silver and bronzage of comics like Ultimate X-Men like into the 2000s and 90s stuff and yeah, so that kind of fed my style I fed me as an artist and I Read a lot and then then the digital age came I Not ashamed to say I did pirate some stuff back in the day because there was literally no other way to do it So a kid who had no financial means But everything I consumed I put it in back into my work and my main goal was always to just draw comics, right because that's that art form kind of Nourished me in a way that I nothing else really did like and

6:14Yeah, it's this idea that like I would always pick up books and the art would be the thing I would read like I didn't much care for the writing Right as like you know what writing can I can read a badly written writing even honestly the thing is comic books are so heavily art focused. It's very hard for me to go Okay, that book is badly written if the story stalled well I almost don't care what the meat of the story is because the story is well-tough. Yeah, right And that's what drew me that's what made me go. I want to do this You know someone I it's like a magician. Yeah, like watching watching magic happen. You're there's this page and through your magic tricks You get to tell a story that is convincing people so much is going on well you have to figure out how to do it Within such a small time frame. It's literally like a magic trick and I wanted to learn how long have you been doing you know? Oh god I'm counting like I have been doing it for ever since I was in college on it. Okay, because it's fascinating to some of our guests that we've talked to today

7:17You know we said the What do you tell people who are trying to get into this and they they all say you have to have a passion for wanting to draw and create and just keep creating It's not gonna be here's my portfolio. Yeah, portfolio is an ever evolving. Yeah, yeah for people who ask me how to get into it first of all I start with don't But then I go If you have to Then I would say try to understand why you're doing it. Mm-hmm. That is More key than anything else really why are you doing it? So many artists ask me oh how do I break in I want to do covers and I'm like Here's thing if you want to do covers create a portfolio of covers, right? Do if you want to do comics then you have to understand you want to do comics. It can't be a gateway into The big box, right and yeah, that's spoken like true. I you know say that to a businessman. They'll be like oh my god But it's true because you can't sustain the lifestyle of a comic book artist

8:20If you don't love it. Yeah, like if you know the lifestyle of a someone who's on a monthly book. Yeah You can't sustain that and hearing your story you can feel I can feel the passion coming out. Yeah, you're love for doing this Yeah, that's the thing. That's what I try to convey to people whoever whoever asks me like and I do portfolio Reviews I whenever someone says how do I get it? I'm like show me your work first. Yeah, give me a proper Show me who you are through your work and I can either give you advice or say hey This is how this is where you need to improve or say okay. I'll see if I can talk to someone See if I can put you in put you in front of some eyes But the first thing you start with is do you really want to do comics? Because at the end of the day The goal is also I would go for one step further the goal is not making art. It's telling stories Right Is your goal telling stories because you can also be a cover artist But that's a you have to understand what you're doing and why you're doing it. Yeah, right Comics for me is like you try to tell stories. Yeah covers is like you're trying to make art and be paid for it

9:25Which fair? I'm not judging but that's you also want to cover the scissor. Draw you into the comic can go Yes, I agree that's what I mean is I that's it's all like it's that's the Thing is so many people see me working for Marvel and think oh, that's that's great. Yeah But and again, I'm not really blaming them because I would like who these artists are working for Marvel But I also had this one track mind if I want to do interiors. Okay. I want to do covers too But that's not my primary goal my primary goal is Telling stories right and I know that for a fact I know for a fact so many people don't really care what's on the inside Right, they look at it. They're mostly a cover driven economy and I understand that but I don't care All I care about is telling the story that I can look back on and say I'm gonna say yeah This is the story you want to read because I made it and I made it with everything I have right? You have a love for comics. Yeah, I also understand you have a love for cats

10:26I do have love for cats. How many cats do you have three? Okay, we'll compare photos afterwards. Yes If anybody's fall is after seeing this they want to follow your work or follow more about you Where can they find you? I'm on all socials. I'm at at the warblazer THE WAR BLA ZDR the warblazer as it sounds it was I made it when I was young and I just it got out of hand I just it was like I started I thought of making a more professional More like something that relates to me kind of thing, but I just never bothered and then my twitter picked up And from there I was like, you know what now everyone knows me as the stylist go with this So is the warblazer everywhere? Okay, yeah last two We like to ask all of our artists and writers these questions. Is there a character out there that you go? I want that one shot to draw Yeah, I have been asked that before But that's the thing is it's a very hard question because at the end of the day my goal is just to draw

11:31Okay, it's whichever character you give me I'm I'm gonna Yeah, like I'm an artist first and I'm a character chaser second Like I would go for Wolverine if someone paired me up with a good Wolverine writer I would go for that character because I have so many ideas of how to draw that character and how to mold him I Would like to take a step at writing Wolverine if they allow me but I know that that's far off But the thing is yeah, I would definitely like to take a get rid of Wolverine. I would love to I would love to draw some Honestly, that's the only thing that's coming to my mind. No, that's mostly because yeah, but mostly because I'm not a very character centric guy. I'm more Into stories, right? You give me a good story with any character. I will breed life into it That's what I've dedicated my life to doing so I'll just keep going. 12:32Um home trying to finish deadlines Trying to get on deadline lag I genuinely haven't seen a movie in so I think the last movie I saw was Uh the the Ryan Gosling joint I hear Mary. Yeah, Mary. Okay. The whole family we went as a whole family. We watched it. It wasn't fun, but I am Maybe maybe spider-man Maybe I'll catch both. I don't know But my goal is mainly to stand deadlines Dev this has been awesome man. Thank you so much for doing this I hope you're having the rest of the convention. 13:35You Guys right here in the podcast room 2026 East Coast comic expo and I'm super excited Meg leader welcome. Hi Thanks for having me. Thank you for coming on. How's the show treating you so far? Oh, it's great Yeah, this is my third year coming to do the show Um, I come all the way from Vancouver. Oh, yes, West meets East. Okay. Definitely and it is so nice here I am always shocked Initially, it's like culture shock coming here from Vancouver My brother lives out west on Victoria Island and oh, yeah Yeah, so when we do connect he does mention the same thing. There's a bit of a difference when he comes out here to Out west, so yes, there is Love you Vancouver So On top of being a comic artist you're also a 2d animator and you have a bachelor in performing arts I mean that's to portfolio you still dabble in the 2d side

14:37Yeah, I basically work full-time to you the 2d animator. Yeah, I'm on a contract break right now But I've worked for a whole bunch of studios in Canada for 10 years now Um, I have a break. I work on my indie comics and yeah, it's kind of like rinse and repeat right now You got your start with yeah, I'm good. This right pret cameo. Oh, yes Okay, good um and now how how was that for your first go into? Yeah, it was awesome. I self-published everything. I did everything myself I just had an editor go over things with me. Mm-hmm. So um very daunting and But like the best experience of my life. I feel like I really lived with those characters for a long time and I would love to keep working on it, but Right now I'm pitching and working through single dog mom. Oh, that's like the big focus. Yes Yes, tell me what single dog mom single dog mom The like really short pitch is girl meets boy they get married

15:40They decide to get a dog to practice having a child They get divorced She gets the dog and he gets the house And then it goes from there finding herself again and coming back to her friends and Yeah, caring for another creature self discovery self discovery in your 30s So when is this due to? Yeah 2027 okay, I am really pumping it out right now. I have 40 pages fully done. It's gonna be 150 pages Traditional ink digital color again doing it all myself But that's kind of the indie way right the full control. I have issues relinquishing that so So do you you like that then having like the indie side full control? Yeah, okay Because in animation like I do love the industry It taught me everything I know for sure from storytelling to composition to Strong posing everything, but I'm just an animator. I don't do storyboards. I don't do backgrounds

16:44I don't do design so you're kind of pigeon-held and then if you're working on very specific IPs They already have the style right it's already so it's like It's still creative in some sense, but it is not the same Yeah, yeah What about hopefully I get this right the cambium. Yes, yes, are you still working on that or is that I am it's fully written It's fully thumbnails It's just a 16 page horror scene. I love horror you would not know it from looking at my material currently I'm sure But I would love to dab it like Junji Ito one of my biggest inspirations um I really hope to channel some of that energy and maybe get some other Canadian artists together to make an anthology with this like horror project But you know little by little indie takes a while, but after single dog mom. I want a palette cleanser. Okay. Yeah So you that that we fun because that will lead me into my question here in a second

17:47What do you tell people when they come to you and say can you take a look at my work or how do I get into 2d and oh gosh It's so hard right now. It's heartbreaking when they come to me because the industry is very dry. Okay I actually taught animation a couple years ago and I had the best students. It was at the school. I went to Vanarts in Vancouver and It's just exceptionally slow right now and junior positions They're basically only accepting intermediate seniors and above yeah But I say like don't give up. We really need human artists and like It needs to be that cycle word. There's new blood coming in and because I feel like when I got into the industry I was so lucky to have people take me under their wing and teach me everything And having that excitement is something we really miss in the industry Yeah, so but I would say just like keep going it It's a cycle because I went to a private college which offered

18:512d animation 3d animation and all of that and it was it was cyclical It was like that was the high thing and then it would change it would become the trades plumber electrician that kind of thing so hopefully it's Back on an upward trend for that. I hope so too and I'm also hoping that more indie new projects start to Get green like well. I mean like you see with horror Like back rooms and all of these like YouTube led things Becoming like what people go to see. I think they're tired of like the same thing recycled over and over again So hopefully that starts to trickle into other media outlets too They always get they don't just like have the screenplay most of the time it comes from a book or a comic So like we have to keep creating Okay, so I'll uh, so where can people find your work if they want to follow you? 19:53Deciding which avenue to do But definitely once I get my new book out. I'll have more platforms online um Yeah, I don't have the tick talk That's okay But I do a lot of events it might be a little bit of a pause next you just trying to focus on getting everything out But yeah, I try and do as many events across Canada as feasible So last two for you then okay Bucket list and I'm gonna say this because I'm gonna direct more to the horror genre Because obviously that's your feel you your love passion is there a horror character out there? You'd love to take a crack at oh my gosh. I mean, I just saw a collaboration between Tomie and hello kitty in Japan and I'm obsessed and I need to go to Japan. I mean anything by ito is great um, I would like to do like a scream queen Horrorsine as well just taking iconic Film girlies and turning into just illustrations for another palette cleanser

23:05And it takes forever together. I got I did India and January. Oh, oh So it's nice But here I mean it's just like an hour A flight I'm still in Canada. Yeah, there's something refreshing plus it's a small show, but a lot of friends are here. Yeah, so for me I do shows sometimes for financial reason or to travel You know, to Singapore and use men's but in here it's because of my friends are here Well, it's interesting that you would say friends and financial because we had a chance to talk to dev earlier Yep, and he told us that his headshots were being charged too low on Friday and then you Yeah, I mean dude here. I mean how can we Make any money or or so if you I mean he's giving the stuff away Some lucky bastard would would just should just get there and load, you know his entire sketch list You're gonna day give me disc character disc character like a list. Yeah, and because it's way too low, but Honestly, it's always hard to price your own stuff

24:08You know, it's easy for me to to go to an artist I admire and look at his works This is gotta be worth at least this and that That's a fairly good assumption, but when you do it yourself, it's very hard and the only way I found myself to figure out My value if you want You go to a huge show like New York for instance, and then you fix the price of oh What the amount of effort goes into a drawing and what could it be and then you see if people are coming and I've done that a few times Where I was way too low and then there was like infinite people and I couldn't I couldn't go to dinner with anybody because I had these huge back Lug of a thing to draw Couldn't I would spend the entire night like the hotel room trying to so And then you try to get a price range in which You're you know you're comfortable, but it's same type that's hard because if you do price to I Then you feel I need to this guy deserve this right and then you overwork the piece because suddenly you feel like it's too much money

25:13um But yeah, it's just balance. It's kind of hard. So that's why in these case It's fun to have an agent to be the bad cop You know and figure out these things out for you, but um I don't have an agent so I need to so you're just the back cop search Okay, your time almost should I charge for things? But it's fun to come to these kind of conventions where I was saying to a winner guessed really it's an more intimate As opposed to the fan expose and the yeah, yeah, this is sandy. I go. I mean these big big monstrous shows are fun But you tend to gravitate toward the people you already know after you know Smaller shows. Well as it turned out here is there I would have probably gravitated to the same people They're here, but uh And smaller show like some some of the shows I'm doing in Europe Sometimes I don't know the other guests, but we're five people and we go to dinner together and we spend a week together And then that's how you forged friendship that might might last Which is not the case in huge massive like San Diego and New York. Well, I heard your forged friendships here

26:18You had swarm a last night. Yeah, like good idea. Yeah, I Shwarma putin It was too much it it went it was too much for me to it that thing was huge. I spent like felt like days eating it and it never Still the same size you know didn't you know Reduce so I don't know I ended up sharing it because sharing some it's too much I think I still digesting this thing like a huge snake. Yeah Just like you didn't bring me a little bit of it. I should have brought it with you and just had it down to the table Keep going. Yeah, yeah, I don't know what day I should have like so What are you working on these days? So I've been My care pad is kind of weird. I'm always ending up doing these long-term project Like one woman or one took like five years to do While I'm doing them. I'm doing a few covers just to show that I'm not dead yet. Yeah, yeah I'm still I'm just secluded into like working on those interior art

27:22And after after one woman or one I've did the ankle for a euro Nobody really know about because it's for a different market. Okay, but I'm a big Moivius fan and I could just gonna resist it And I'm waking with Rick remainder. Oh wow. We're doing a book at image. It's not announced yet But the same reason I'm I have eight issue in the can It's a 12 part mini series Most normal people will announce it and start the ball rolling But we feel comfortable having as much lead as we can and maybe even having the entire series like the 12 issue in the can before like so you can't announce the title Can you announce when you're expecting to come out? I think that we have a working title that might change so that's one big that yeah kind of pointless at this point and I'm not sure When it's getting released Um, I'm sure for sure You know, it's a or Okay, that's that I can say it's an or uh

28:24If there's some roots in my and from my swam thing era like a very visual Losh aura, but it's also it's very Granted a reality and then reality kind of slip into this So the reality stuff is kind of art for me to draw not because I can't because it requires a lot of research Spain I've never worked so hard on a book ever Then this thing really yeah, oh it's just exhausting But because it's a mini series is there a difference as opposed to like a long run of Because I think I don't know it's it's my first creature own and I that probably played in my mind somehow I need to This is for me any just destroyed those pages right love and and uh I kind of do but also It's um It's happening in a reality like there's a a concrete kind of link to actual event So I need to do my research proper, okay And make sure things are accurate then I spend way too much time on on details and on the internet on google image trying to figure out

29:29What are the Russian are using for guns and disair and You bet you want to be detailed. Yeah, we'll present something. Yeah, yeah, because there's some there's a few I'm not being I'm not I'm not a gun nut at all, but there is some people out there that will or this is not the good You think that oh there's very yeah, there's very good things like uh so if I do my research But I knew that establishing the reality as credible and solid as possible Why don't I start pulling the rug on their need? And going to madness and crazy shit It will work better. It's it's the same idea that um Remember to film exotic the exorcist. Yeah, so I have that film is just this mom trying to deal with the fact that the The daughter is kind of having a mental Problem you know break down when she pees in front of people and she and and That's where you are you think oh, this is you know, it's an horror movie But now at this point you're still into in running into reality which make it even crazier when it starts

30:34She start walking to the ceiling. Yeah, so you blow what so this disconnect is makes even tiny our stuff look bigger um If you're if you go full full-fledged monster mash from the start then it's hard to impress people It's hard to to create so spending time to establishing solid stuff play pays out Later than the road, but it's just very very hard Well, I'm excited to see what the result is of this because I I'm a big Rick Render fan for what he writes as well So yeah, and I know like that that's I I'm excited to see what this is gonna In tail for you down the road. I love wreck and it's it's great. It's a great relationship I've been I've been blessed with like crazy hot riders. Yeah, you know Alan Warg ran um scutts night or yes And in the case of Alan Moore and Grant. I mean they're both Weird man I mean, I've had a great relationship like or work, but it's there. They're not easy to reach out. Mm-hmm. It's uh, it's more uh

31:41The script is is the the link between us. Yeah, um And with what's got I especially in the first few years of well the first year of swam thing It wasn't it was scutts lighter, but not like good like scutts rider So we had the good we we discussed entire book before and and things and then his life became this You know Much more complex. I had yeah many books and many juggling a lot of balls, so uh, but Rick it's great I mean we we spent before doing what we do now we spend at least two or three months just discussing idea What about this? You live you like Rome No, yes, and then we pitched together like a few idea just to see what where we could connect that It's a luxury to be able to just talk and I mean Rick is a talker. You love to spend time on the phone and just blah blah blah. So it's great But it's it's it's it's the first time I really feel like there's a relationship like creation relationship like on the same footing

32:46And we can both bring stuff on the table and debate idea and find solution to problems um This is what I love those hearing this is you're incredibly passionate about this I have no idea what the title is I've no idea when it's coming out. I want to get it. See there you go So you've done your sales pitch or that um listen We'll get you out of here on a couple real quick questions. You've already heard them. So you got a time to prepare Is there a character out there that you've never had a chance to work on that you would love to do? I do actually a dr. Strange For some because I want to do weird like not dr. Strange in New York Maybe a bit. I want to do dr. Strange. You are came Yeah, world of of eyeballs and and and tongues and and weird tentacle thingy So just because of the graphic aspect of it um when I was a a decent at Marvel Which excuse of Marvel for a few years and they had me to do mostly expensive stuff and bovery And he asked me what I wanted to do and I said it's gonna be the all or dr. Strange and dr. Strange at the time

33:51Beddisk was in charge and it was part of the Illuminati or something It was kind of locked into It was not accessible right and the old almost but at the end I ended up doing swam things So I got my share of big green guy somehow And um but yeah dr. Strange is not uh is that being the exploit okay? Yeah, well maybe this guy yeah, all right look and here's the thing I will say never say never because I'm gonna use Nick Bradshaw's example We had asked him this a couple years ago who he wanted and his rom rom yeah and then that following year was rom versus the X-Men See and it was like unbelievable so it's all we always We would we can For see Ron exactly coming back to exactly but yeah, but uh I deeper down than this I'm not very character driven See what what kind of peel in the idea of of dr. Strange is the fact I could draw weird eyeball, you see

34:55So somehow it's more the graphic as because you can have uh I'm gonna start to take to writers And to visual possibility of things yeah To make it Kind of ridiculous Batman and spawn is the same thing from a almost graphics You'll get guys on top of building with big capes at night Got it kind of setting. Yeah, I guess with spawn. You had the added bonus to be the chain and more more L-ish That's good. Yeah, so but As a graphic artist, this is what I see you know the universe and the kind of tone That goes with these characters. That's our approach swam thing too. I needed before doing anything before reading the script I have this idea that it had to be lost. It had to be Plug into the tradition of ececomic and Bernie writes and then this this kind of yeah So there was already like a graphic tone if if they ask me to do batwoman it will

35:58Be clear in my mind that I need to be as GH will game ish. Yes Maddening layout as possible because that's part of the the visual appeal of the character now yet you can have a super bad writer writing batman in the seri that suck so Yeah, Batman is not like I want to do Batman, but then the story's bad or yeah, and I'm sure if you put Alan Moore on Some crap. No, but no, don't talk to her. So that would be the dream though Um, but done. I don't know. I crap character. I don't want to I don't want to name a crap character It's probably the fabric character. So I'm gonna do someone Um, but Alan can turn it into gold for sure, right So writer and the world of possibility of her character. Okay. Wow Last one the big event this summer Supergirl spider-man. Where do you land? Oh

36:59You know if I need to choose a camp, I'll go for a supergirl because um I'm a big uh build kiss fan and uh You know and Matt lop is of the color is so that this this our team is great. Okay, and uh I mean saying that for years before they were known But actually managed to get Matt to color some of my things before he was uh too big a deal Um So yeah, if only for that okay for not really the movie maybe oh It's okay. There's no but uh at least for the original source material. Okay. Um I don't I don't I don't I just getting harder in order for me to get excited with our movies uh I want to see different stuff, you know, I want to see original left-feel thing. I'm more excited for disclosure day for instance. Yes. That's true. I don't know what to expect

38:00I have some set of expectation for the supergirl thing. Yeah, and And the spider-man is already established. So That's the thing after a while. I mean it's just you go to these film and you you like oh is this meaning my Expectation or not you're not there fully ready to receive some something entirely new um, and that's something I had to work uh mentally as an artist on for instance when we did one woman or one uh with grand It's a weird take on one of women. It's like going back to the forties and it's bundled and stuff and I think we're true to the original intention of the character for the forties, but for some people Uh, that see one woman more in the context of the recent movies and super heroes and batting You know, fight and stuff There's no fight in one woman or one. Well at least in the first volume So people will go to me and say this is not one woman. She wouldn't do that. They wouldn't say that and I was like yeah, well I went because she just did and said that you know

39:03But I understand where they're coming from. I mean these characters are part of their They're they live in their mind and then we are confronting their vision. So Artistics you need to be able to accept people will come with a different Vision of these things. I was not a fan of this of the Superman the slider version of it which I think was too bleak for me But then I had to remember my own experience as an artist bring something forward right which is not what people expect and people This is not true or whatever. So you need to accept but Think like this closure day or some other movie that I've like the first time ET came out right people were not like this is not an extrovert or a hero Whatever. Yeah, so you just it's something fresh and I think all it would kind of need a lot more of that Like me fresh bring me not not really like create me new franchise or bring like Master the universe again, or I don't need that and it just bring me something totally new fresh

41:06This has been a particularly strong year for our and and just being able to create the the social ads for it with all of those guests and get to you know Build the tag amazing talent and like you look at all of those people that we had with us this year incredible I remember free comic book day the posters were up at strange adventures 68 York Street and The line up then and then a couple days later you posted someone else was coming and then someone else was coming and before you knew it now Facebook the big poster It's like my god. This is 11 by 17 if not Life size poster huge huge huge list of of folks and the you know again This is something that you know if for for those that have been paying attention to the East Coast comic expo's Social media. This is something that I've been doing a lot this past year promoting the local creators They're kick starters the books that that they have on the go because there's such

42:06An amazing wealth of new content coming out from the maritime's from the east coast and it's just a great spot to be able to To promote and and pitch What all of the creators have going on here? We've got some amazing Creators in our region and it's really fun to be able to participate and you know say hey guess. Oh look at this look at that You know it's just a lot of cool stuff coming out dark coast like you know There's so much so much going on yeah, and of course not just the guests But as you see behind us here. We've got the gaming area which is in full swing And then all the vendors on the other side. I mean you guys max out every year Yeah, even more and more each year we have a more full floor and Of content of vendors artists are guests, you know all in our we use up the whole call to see him this year If you include to the the I was gonna bring it up now You're adding a new Trinkle to the experience and that is pro wrestling this year. That's right You know, so we are we're trying different things sometimes and they were we saw an opportunity

43:12Where there was a crossover of fan bases and and there's some committee members who are really excited about this opportunity So we get to officially say this year. We're using the entire policy you know the full Colosseum is the East Coast comic expo this year because in the bowl We have the wrestling experience and not only that but the return of Robert Maya is a guest here And he's going to be participating in some fashion with that this you know that's the wrestling fans that's super exciting So that's to be seen just how that's going to unfold that is impressive Another thing I heard and this is just it blows my mind and I don't know what it was But this is year three where your Friday nights have literally blown the roof off this place You know the last couple years in particular our Fridays were really really full and I I don't know if if the last night's Friday was where it fits in the ranking amongst those

44:13But we had you know a great turnout lots of people excited You know the costume registration started on Friday so lots of costumes there too and But today Today really kind of filled up we had a lot of fantastic fun costumes People having a great time and having a lot of fun with search it through the comics You know chatting with the creators getting commissions done some of the paintings that you can have done sort of on the spot You know it's just a really fun experience and I'm reminded each year when we do this just What a community Celebrating experience this is for so many people to come and participate and be a part of that and It's really satisfying to see that So one of the things I got a chance to ask our guests this year as I did last year and I'm going to ask you again Is there's two big events coming up this summer Supergirl and spider-man

45:15Brent where do you land both? I will be there opening night for both of these you know Hey, I'm going to reveal to you then okay out of 11 interviews we did Nine for supergirl one for spider-man one abstained no kidding wow Okay, so lots of excitement for supergirl amongst your amongst the the creators. Yes, okay Yeah, James gun has a fantastic imprint Vibe with with that and with Superman from last year to see How this one contrast because we know it's been already set up to contrast Against what we saw in the Superman film so but building that out a little bit more lots of folks excited to see Lobo Yes, you know, so this is that it's gonna be that's gonna be a fun experience But you know, I will not buy any stretch to diminish what I think we're expecting for spider-man Because I think we're gonna be getting some big things with spider-man. We know hope's gonna be there

46:17We know tombstones are gonna be a factor. We know hundershirt is going to be there so we've had lots of lead-in bits that can kind of converge in what we're gonna get in this experience for this next spider-man movie and then from there leading into You know duke west duke stay duke stay the And secret wars for next year because those are gonna so I think we've got some fun coming up for Marvel YouTube I will say this now This is our last episode for the spring season. We're taking the summer off and I want to thank you first of all for always being a guest on this show with us I look forward to having you on and as we begin the run to duke's day Because we have not seen a trailer yet. Right. We've heard hints But there's something big coming I think I think you're right.
