President Barack Obama. Virginia, we are counting on you. Republicans want to steal enough seats in Congress to raid the next election and wield unchecked power for two more years. But you can stop them by voting yes by April 21st. Help put our elections back on a level playing field and let voters decide not politicians. Vote yes by April 21st. Paid for by Virginians for fair elections. You're listening to the Ham Radio Clubhouse podcast a weekly show that's live on YouTube ever Tuesday night at seven o'clock central time. We look forward to you joining us live but until then enjoy this week's episode. Thanks for joining us here on the Clubhouse. Good evening everybody. Welcome to Ham Radio Clubhouse. It is this Steve Mike and Shane show. We thought it was going to be just these Steve and Mike show or the Shane and Mike. Shane and Mike, yeah. Yeah. Welcome man. Glad to give a sprint to get in here. Well let's start off right.

Oh hold on there we go. Cheers. Cheers everybody. Cheers. There we go. Oh, you're so good at jail anyway. Yeah. So, um, I, it's funny. Um, about six 15. I was like, you know what? I got plenty of time. I'm going to like lay down, take a short nap right quick and then I woke up at six 50 and I come in. I'm sprinting into the into the office in here and I pulled this thing up and Mike's already in and I'm like, oh, sorry man. We're here. But anyway, we're here. We're making it happen. We are Joe Brits not going to be here. Um, he was feeling a little under the weather. So he called in sick. So we're going to deduct that from his, uh, his PTO bank. And I hope he gets to feeling better. Uh, his though has a town meeting because he's the town cryer. And, um, so hopefully we'll see him in about 30, 45 minutes. But other than that, we don't need those turkeys because we got everybody

agreeing their channel. So thank you so much for being here with us. We got ham total hurts back for 16 months. And we're, we're down of folks. So if we don't get your stuff up on screen in time, give us a minute. We'll get there. Ham total hurts back for 16 months. His though is studying by four extra by April and could make it. You are so true. Terry, number 30, come on computer, catch up. I'd clicked it three times already. Terry, remember 30 month, 39 months. Well, good lord. I know 39 months. Thank you, sir. Yeah. We got, uh, James, remember for 16 months, you know, those are just going to keep rolling in the more. I start. Oh, yeah. So your mic's a little hot because I could hear every bubble as it goes down your throat. So, uh, and Tio start not with five getters right off the roof. Of course, noise. Of course. Thank you. And Miss Renee got one yet. Do you have the list in front of you? Yep. I got it. I got it. So interstellar starman, uh, Renee six, patty boy,

FTK 2432 and Russ Brown. Thanks. Congratulations. I wonder if that's the Russ Brown that does motorcycle lawyers. Hmm. Hmm. Well, yeah. Talk to him. Yeah. No kidding. Let me see if I can do that. At tortoise overland, tell him thanks for that gifted sub. If you'd like to continue that sub, but at the end of the month, you're more than welcome to. We appreciate it. Um, all right. So they're coming in fashion tonight and I can read them. We got something cool planned tonight. I didn't tell anybody because I didn't know I was going to be doing it. So, uh, I'm going to do, let me see if I can switch over without causing too much trouble. If I go to this camera, there we go. All right. So I've got a 20 ounce tumbler lined up in the, uh, laser that I'm going to give away tonight. And, uh, we're going to engrave it with a clubhouse logo. You can't tell what color it is, but it's blue and silver. Um, so I'm going to engrave that

here in a little bit and we'll give that away tonight. Um, just I wanted something to do other than y'all just sit and listen to me. Yeah. So just in case I got everything lined up and I've been doing a glassware for one of the local, um, hot air balloon pilots because he wanted to do switch back to the scanner. Come on computer. You could do it. All right. There we go. Um, switch back. I wanted to, he wanted me to do some champagne glasses. So I've been doing champagne glasses for him to get that done. So that's my first, uh, glass engraving, which is cool. Nice. Um, was that an additional five? No, no, that's the same one. Okay. I'm just going down the list. I want to start. All right. And Jody, remember for 39 months, thank you, sir. Mr. Andy Cowley, 39 months. Okay. So I've, I think I joked around saying that we're going to do what, 40, 48, 46 months. I think I want to do. So I think the final, the final boss, if you will,

or the final, like membership level should be like 60 months legendary. And it's going to be like 60 months. Yep. And I'm going to come up with a really cool icon. And if you're 69, it's close. Yeah. Yeah. Um, that'd be kind of cool. But I think I'll call it legendary. And you just stop there. I've just shocked that we know that you have to prestige. Oh, good God. So we do a 48 month and then a 60 month. So a 48 month is prestige. And then 60 months is legendary. Legendary. Yep. And keep it going. We got Moe in there for 39 months. Thank you, brother. Who would have thought our buddy air hammer Ron sent us money from the three kings. Cheers my friend. 37 months. Thanks so much. Oh my God. What is this? What did you put in the chat? Oh, I'll get to that. I'll get to that. Matt K and four EG, 11 months. Oh, that's hilarious.

Oh, it gets better. It's Ken and Barbie. Yes, it is. Is there will be here after he attends his, his town meeting? Yep. It's apparently they have to decide who's going to be shoveling snow over the next, the next. He just got that new snowboard, isn't he? Oh, I don't know. I don't know. It was in a flamethrower. Yeah, you can buy those here. I know. KS zero JD member for 23 months. And I just looked over at the, at the vertical stream. And he was taken over for Joe Brad for the half face. Oh, yeah. Oh, well, I don't do the vertical shit. So screw it. Lucas member for 26 months. Thank you, sir. Wow. We got whiskey five Lima Bravo X-ray 14 months. Make the legendary. I come to detox top right. Cheers. Yes. And then your head 38 months. I missed it by that much. Who would it, who would it, who would it

thought, man? And Chris, thanks for the $699 Canadian. So that's what two and a quarter US something like that. Hey, you know what? Whether it's 50 cents or it's 25 cents, we don't appreciate it. So I got a text message earlier. Oh, I won 900 number. Yeah, pretty much. You guys will know just as soon as I show it. You have to be, you have to be a certain age, even know what a one 900 number is. Yeah. This is true. But the first one, well, this wasn't the first picture, but this was probably one of the better ones. Yeah. So we have hammering you operator, Barbie. Yeah. And of course, it's got the call sign right. It's got the seven of five, you know, Julie's perfect. And then of course, what's Barbie without her cat? Oh my gosh. And you've got just Mr. Rip there. Right. So we're going to make these in the trading cards where you can print those out. You have to,

you have to, you can get the entire set. There you get. That's funny. Oh, thanks AI. Look what you've done to him radio. Oh, look, hammering your chicks out there. Okay, let me have it. I don't even have a chap here post. Steve, how's your week, man? Good up until today. Oh, no. I stopped at the house earlier to feed the dogs before I headed over to the robotics and blew the serpentine belt off the car. That sounds like fun. Yeah. So I got to tear into that at some point, but I've got competition this weekend. So luckily, I've got extra vehicles. What sort of competition? Robotics. Robot. Oh, let's try defining robots. Yep. Wonders. Hold on. Wonders of change is old enough to remember when the drinking agent Louisiana was five, two, no, two, no, I don't. Not that old. Close. So well, let's, I didn't, I didn't know much

either. I've got a work project, which is the reason why I was supposedly I was going to be a short time or tonight, but since, you know, that no one else is here, but you, I'll stay as long as I need to, but I've got a work project that is, I won't go away. It's like in Christmas vacation, you get that jelly of the month club. It's a gift that he's giving all year round. That's what this feels like. Like I just want it to go away. Yeah. I'm, I'm in for those that don't know, I do, I do software development for Southwest and I'm telling you, this functionality, I just, I'm ready to just rent a waste cream. It's nuts. That's almost like mine. My security update is two months late now. And when I tried to install it, it went, not gonna happen. And my developers, like, it works fine. Am I VM? Great. That didn't work. Shit, I'm hardware. But it's 1.3.

Close. Was so, why be why? Who's heckling in the chat? So share your screen and work. Who was? You don't want that? No, you don't want to see, you don't want to hear me yell at people. I can bring a broadcast. And I've done it all night or all day today, so I don't want to do it tonight. I got to get back on after the stream and finish out my 12 hour day. That just sounds gross. Mike, you're not, you're not only these horrible days like we are, right? Well, it's not that exciting yet this week, but the first or five months of the year, the busiest of the year for me, between work and travel and everything. And that's just the nature of the cycle for my job. So this is always a busy time. I got to travel. I got to head out of town on Sunday and go out to the capital for a couple days. And it is what it is. But it's all good.

The time flies this time of year. So does it mean like the back half of the year you use your cell cruise control? No, it just, you kind of pivot into different things and everything. So it's, but this is the time of year where it's, it's definitely really busy and there's more travel. So nice. Yeah. I mean, I guess something to keep you out of travel, right? Yeah. Mike, you want to compare travel? Oh, no. Oh, no. See, I get you to Japan next week. Yeah, my travel boring. Like I drive a rental car out to Albany, like, you know, three and a half hours across the state. It's like, you know, I'm not going anywhere fun. That's not travel. That's a trip, my friend. Yeah. It's getting caught up on podcasts. Exactly. Call me when you have to go to San Diego. Okay, speaking of, I released five episodes of the clubhouse last week. And I'm, I'm, I know. And there's like 500 downloads. So I thank y'all for being patient. I was working on another one. I don't remember if I think I

hit go. Yes, it was released earlier tonight. So the episode with, let's see, I think it was episode 256. I had to refresh my screen because it was on a different browser. Uh, yeah. So episode 256 went live tonight. So that was last week's episode. There's a gap in there. No, I'm not. There's a gap in there. If y'all want to catch up with the rest of the episodes, go to YouTube, go to the live section, watch the show or you can get a podcast list from YouTube and listen to it there. I, I, I, I edited five more episodes tonight. And I, right as I went, right before I was taking that. And I looked over and I encoded them in the wrong format. And I had already deleted the master files after I'd done that. So I was like, there went three hours of work. So it's caught up for tonight for last last weeks. And I'll have this week's out, hopefully

by the next week's show. So sorry for those, but enjoy the, the 10 hours of podcast content that I uploaded. Yes, last week. Yes, president Barack Obama. Virginia, we are counting on you. Republicans want to steal enough seats in Congress to raid the next election and wield unchecked power for two more years, but you can stop them by voting yes by April 21st. Help put our elections back on a level playing field and let voters decide not politicians. Vote yes by April 21st. Paid for by Virginians for fair elections. stay through the moments in between and after your trip. Because a great trip starts with a piece of mind and maybe a good playlist, but we've got the piece of mine part covered. To one man, man, man, there you go. We appreciate all the hard work. I'm going to pause. Steve, you want to take over podcast with what free time? I mean, you can have me. I do it. Yeah, I does everything else. Again, with what free time? Have you, do you all use AI tools at work? Eat both of you guys? No, I haven't. Thanks to our secretary of war. I'm kind of forced to. We got to pop up on our screen saying, yeah, here I want you to use AI. And one of the AI tools got stripped away from us this week. That's fun. If you watch the news, I don't know which one it was, but yeah.

Literally, we had it in the morning and then by 10 o'clock, it was gone. Yep. We have mommy, daddy, you're fighting. Cool. We have three, three different tools that we were using. I've been doing the testing stuff to get the software stuff rolled out. The product owner and the project manager kept asking me, when do you think you're going to be done? When do you think you're being done? I was like, I don't know because we have just, you have defects we're working on blah, blah, blah. So I added, so I have a status update that I do every day to show how many test cases I've done, what's past, what's failed. And I uploaded that to one of our, our, in a PDF, I uploaded that to one of our AI tools and I gave it some parameters and I said, hey, I need you to write me a prediction model using three different methods. And based on previous burn rate versus stuff and what we have to complete, let me know what, give me a date is when you think this is going to be done. And it front here, thanks for the 26 months. Absolutely. It ran for about, I

don't know, maybe two, three minutes. And it was like writing inside the window. It was writing Python script, like it was writing its own programs. And then at the end, it closed those windows and it gave me a prediction based on the three different methods as to when the project would be done. So, and then I had, I had, well, I don't know, I'm not done. I had chat GPT did the same thing. I kind of gave it the same parameters. And they were within a day of each other. So I'm curious. And then oh, and then I had based off of its output, I said, hey, give me a spreadsheet that I could update daily that would that will update the completion date by. So it wrote a spreadsheet with all the formulas and everything prepopulated. And all I have to do is write how many test cases I do per day and how many past. And then it updates that at the at the other end of the spreadsheet, it shows the projected completion date. Are you doing testing? Are you doing manual testing? Manual testing. CUMO does, CUMO does the automated stuff. But we have so many edge cases

when we're more testing and we have to we have to do them all manual. Do you know why we get automate that? Are you covered? There is it. I have 366 test cases that each one of them are five or six different steps. And then they're tested within a test. And it would take twice as long to program the automated test that it would be just to test it myself. But you'd only have to program it once and you could rerun that test. Yeah, then I would never have that. Well, because I don't have to, I only have to do them once. Then then we released the software we'd ever look at it again. Oh, okay. You don't you don't have to go back and do security updates. I got it. I got a, I don't know once I got it. I got to meet myself for just one moment. Ah, it's work-related. Yep. Oh, okay. One moment. Talk to myself. Mike? What's your good up to? Um, well, I, I'll just jump right into it. So, um, take this off the rails right away. Yeah, always. Um, no. Uh, so I, I started something that I kind of been sitting on this idea for

a while. Um, shout out to Jason, ham radio 2.0. And he did a series of videos like for 30 days, daily, um, back in the fall. And he did a couple on, um, on VHF stuff, two meters, two meter sideband, contesting, uh, and those seem to get, you know, some traction. But sometime in the fall after those, I kind of got the idea because a lot of people say two meters is dead or that there's no, there's no simplex traffic on two meters. There's no activity where I am. I wish there was. And I got the idea like 52 days calling out on five two. Like, there's a challenge, right? Let's see if we can do this. And I kind of thought in the winter. I was like, maybe I should do this by myself quietly. See how it goes. And I'll do a video after and maybe challenge others. And I just like ushams do. We totally overthink everything.

You're going to spend, you know, months, years overthinking, you know, what intended to put up and wear. And you know, damn well, like the minute you do it, you're going to think of a way to make it better. Um, got to put it with his own. Yeah. Take everything and kick the sink. Yeah. So, um, welcome, Josh. I, uh, you know, I sit on the sitting on this and finally I'm like, all right. And I just got to run with it. And, and so I actually, I messaged Iso last week. I'm like, hey, you got a guest for Clubhouse on Tuesday. I got something I'm thinking about doing. And, uh, um, you know, I want to roll it out there. And he was like, uh, yeah, we're good. Yeah. Anything you want to do. Come on on. And, and so, uh, I kind of was like, all right. You know what? I'm just going to do this. And I think there was like on a Thursday. And I recorded the video on Friday and kind of launched this thing over the weekend. But, um, I'm calling it a five two simplex challenge. And, and it's real simple. Um, this doesn't need to be complicated. I'm challenging

people to call out on five two for 52 days the next two months. And you do the math. And I know we're not supposed to do math on stream. But there's 61 days. And, and so if you miss a day, you start late. Um, there you go. See? There you go. And, uh, you know, it's fine. They don't need to be consecutive. You know, the whole point of this is, you know, there's a couple benefits. But the first thing and ultimately is let's get some activity going on five two two meter FM, whether it's HT, you're in the car, you know, whatever. Let's, let's get that going. Um, it's, it's not difficult. Next time you're out for a walk with a dog, bring your HT. When you're on your commutes, that's what I've been doing. Call out. If you're on a weekly net, say, hey, who wants to hop on five two after the net and see if we can make a simplex contact? Josh is on a train. So he could be calling, uh, calling out on five two on this train home. Yeah.

Um, I don't think anyone would hear me with this thing. It's kind of, yeah, computer. Oh, yeah. I guess Josh isn't running the F-150 up and down the highway anymore. Thanks to the, uh, changes in California. Mm-hmm. Sorry about your look on that one, brother. But, uh, but yeah, that's, I mean, in a nutshell, call out 52 days on five two. Um, it's not a contest. Uh, so you can do it on the work band. Hi, hi. But no, no, no, but if you want to make it a contest or make it more of a challenge for yourself, that's why this is something simple and basic. You know, if, if you're a poet, an activator, call out at the beginning or the end of your activation from your car or your HT. It's always a good way to find out if someone's in the park with you, which is happened to me before they have a thing on five two. Yeah. Yep. Yep. And so, uh, so that, that's the nature of this, you know, doing it over two months, uh, you know, you got to create a little bit of urgency that

that's kind of what gets us to take action. But I said, you know, 52 days this year, then, you know, we put those things off, we overthink it, right? Um, and then I'm going to do a live stream on five to Saturday, May 2nd. Um, I'll schedule something and, uh, there's going to be a giveaway. Um, I reached out to radiativity. They're going to put in a bunch of HTs and a mobile and some stuff. Um, I've already talked to some other hams. You're going to put some stuff in. So, yeah. So just try to make it fun. But that's, that's just something to celebrate and talk about the experience of what happened during this period and stuff. But, you know, we can get more activity. It's a good way to test out your stations. You know, maybe you rethink some things about your antenna placement or maybe, you know, a newer hand realizes, oh, in HT and the car is not cutting it. I'm going to, I want to put a mobile in now. Um, and new hams, like those, uh, technicians,

this is an opportunity. If you get some activity going your area, that's some new tax can actually get some two meter contacts, uh, that aren't over a repeater. So, uh, there's a lot of good things in here. And ultimately, too, one of the, the pros, I think, is it can get some of us to change our habits in a good way. And maybe overcome some misconceptions. Yeah. Can you expand on that? What do you mean by what, what habits you do? One of the things I just ran around with that radio on. Yeah. Well, some of us, I started carrying an HT around a little bit more. Um, you know, you have one of the minis. I think that was a mini. I carried one of those around for, for a month. And I mean, you see me out doing potty. You know, that I'm wearing like suits to work and stuff. Like I, I, that fit in a suit pocket. I presented on stage at a conference with a suit and one of those fangs in my pocket. Nobody noticed. Did you be dazzled? Yeah. No, I did not. I'm near pocket or are you excited? Yeah. And then one of the little habits, I just changed the

other day to make it easier. The next two months is I flipped the A and the B band on my radio in the car. So I got two meters on top and the repeater on the bottom. So that I'm not having to think to call out or answer on my commute. It's just like one less little hurdle. So, you know, that's what I'm thinking about for some of these habits. And if we do some of these things like calling out, listening, carrying a radio with us for 52 days, that's when it, you're really starting to not just change, but form habits. And, uh, and that's a good thing, I think. So, so that's what I'm hoping to do with it, you know, and it's, it's been, it's been nice to kind of hear from others who are, uh, you know, participating in the challenge. I know Eric and one JUR is, uh, he kind of expanded on it for himself. And he's like, I'm going to call out for 10 minutes each of these 52 days. And he's filming it. And he's putting up videos each day on his YouTube channel about his experience. And if you go watch one of those videos, you'll see like, you'll see

that smile when he's getting those surprise contacts on two meters calling out. And it's, it's genuine. It's real. Like a lot of these contacts are going to be surprises. And some of them are going to be pretty memorable. Um, I know I've made some with texts when they've said, this is my first contact on two meters, uh, other than the repeater. And that's always a really good feeling. That's nice. I was, uh, I was, I was messing around on the patio and I had a signal stick on this just to see if I could get better reception. And I had somebody come back to me on five, two, this, hey, you should monitor for eight. And I was like, why? They're like, because every, every night on the commute home, they don't, they don't go to five, two, they're going to 146. Or yeah, 146.480. And I listen there of a now, then I'm surprised at how much traffic's down there. And I guess it's the same group here locally that just decided not to do it on five, two, but to do it on 480. And they're just yapping away. And I'm like, yeah, I should go to five, because there's so many people that are hoping to hear somebody there. Yeah. Yeah. I've got a

local guy here that calls out on five, two, almost constantly. I always have it on whenever I'm, when I'm driving, like I always have it on. And Jason and I, when we were going up to the more expo a couple of years ago, had a really long conversation with someone because we just threw our call sign out on five to you while we were driving. And, and Josh had a good point, a good antenna and 50 watts. You'd be surprised how far you can get. Oh my gosh. Yeah. And some people, some people might get lucky, depending where you are this time of year, like you could get lucky with Tropo and catch that. And I've, I've caught that before. And it's like, holy cow, how am I getting this far with five watts on an HT, you know, on the lake? How far APRS would go on with Tropo? Yeah. Yeah. Hammer radio tube. That one's for you. But, um, but yeah, no, it's so you're, you're going to learn about propagation. You might learn where you can get, get out good where you can't. And that's all beneficial. Makes us better hands,

better operators, better Elmers. I'm going to start putting people to sleep talking all this hammer radio this early. Well, no, it's essential. Since you're talking about that. Yeah. And maybe we've got some new viewers tonight. I just did a test session with 24 new applicants. Holy shit. Wow. Really? Yep. Holy yeah. That was an impression. The text is a general is, um, so most of them got tech. Let me pull up the, pull up the session here. And I'll tell you, but it was a local class that we did. Or one of my clubmen. He said it was in person, right? In person. Okay. President Barack Obama. Virginia, we are counting on you. Republicans want to steal enough seats in Congress to raid the next election and wield unchecked power for two more years,

but you can stop them by voting yes by April 21st. Help put our elections back on a level playing field and let voters decide not politicians. Vote yes by April 21st. Dead air. This is like a slow motion. I'm failing on my password over here for some reason. I know my frickin password. Well, while you figure that out, so we this is the final final push for the extra by April. Yes it is. So we have a test session set up for is it the 30th April? Yeah March 30th the Monday for the last one. The last one is April 27th. That was so we're going to go all the way through April. You can set up anytime. We'll be more than happy to test, but that's the two. You have two opportunities and I need to go back. I'm going to send the list over to you and see if you can look in the database and see who's actually participated who said they were going to participate,

that was curious or some that started early and some that haven't. But I'm curious to see how many extras or generals or technicians we've got off the list. We think the list was 25 that signed up to participate. So out of that test session of 24, three of them got the general in the first setting. Nice. So they did they did tech and general together. Tech and general. I had one guy came in funny enough his call sign is SKT not in five SKT, but still SKT. And he came in and got his extra. So and I had an interesting thing happen. One of the guys unfortunately didn't pass, but because I did the test on paper and I used grade cam to grade electronically. So grade cam. So grade cam is a cool little feature that the guy that runs exam tools used to work for. Okay. I literally take and scan the sheet with my phone.

It's a scan tron, but he uses your phone. I pull it up, but it's got his name. And let me see if I can edit it here to where it doesn't show. But he wrote the correct booklet number in. But unfortunately, he bubbled in the wrong booklet. Hmm. Okay. So if I still had the form, I could probably fix the booklet number and re-scan it and probably would have passed. So just like when you're voting, you have to stay within the line. Just don't go outside the line. Pay attention. So let me see. So you can actually rather than having to send it to that machine that reads it, you can actually take a picture with your phone and it reads it that way. Hmm hmm. Hmm. What will they pick up next? And let me... Yep. Yeah, here we go. I can share this. Thank God for snipping tool. Can I zoom that up? Yeah,

there we go. Until it doesn't work. So, okay. It's literally a scan tron where it doesn't show my mouse. But the upper left corner, you fill in tech journal or extra. Then you fill in your applicant ID and your exam booklet number. The problem is he bubbled in the wrong. He bubbled into one and his exam numbers start with a two. Oh, that's zero through nine. That sucks. That'll get you. It happens. Yeah, Mike. This is holy crap scan tron. That's a flat. Yeah. There you go. Yep. So did you guys have those blue books? Did you have those blue booklets for the exams and stuff like? Absolutely. So my mom was a teacher for years and when I was when my stepdad passed away, we were cleaning out most of the house and we actually found some of her old scan trons that she had brought home for to grade test with. And I was like, oh my god. Do you remember the machine

that used to grade them? Yes. And it had that little like it put like a little red mark next to the next to the bubble that was incorrect. And I was like, because you could hear those as you were feeding them through. Yeah. Every time his markets and something wrong. Yeah. Those were the days. And I wrongly enough, I found out I didn't have enough test booklets printed. Yeah. I only had like 20 or so printed. So I had a couple of people and trusted everybody. Well, I had a couple of people that had to do electronic like I gave one girl my laptop. And I'll probably never do that again. My test guide does strange things. Yeah. But I found out I had two versions of the answer sheet. The right one and the wrong one. No, no, no. Apparently you can print it with just the tech in general bubbles. Oh, interesting. And not the full 50 for extra. And of course, the guy that was taking his extra got handed one of

the regular tech in general answer sheets. Interesting. So luckily, he swapped us somebody and we got it done. But I'm with you. K eight F A East is scantron gave me anxiety. Yes, it did. That is a real trick. And there was there was there was one where the booklet like you were saying we had to pop the end of it and then you fill the booklet out and you turn the booklet in because it had it had your the multiple choice and then it had like your essay questions at the back. Oh, God. Yeah. See, I never got the essay and I never got the essay questions right because they couldn't read my handwriting. Right. I'll admit it. My handwriting sucks. Judy says it's in 2026 and we still haven't mastered the fill in the dot technology. Yeah, there was like elections that were where he had a hanging chat because someone was feeling they didn't thank you for the thought. I like skitron. Yeah.

Show your work. Yeah. Exactly. They gave you the book. Right. The question down that you got to show how you got the answer. But no, no, no. I didn't get I'm ready to wouldn't doubt Charlie out, baby. Name the movie. You just go through and fill out Abba Kadab on the whole way down. Yes, exactly. Oh, that's funny. What will they think of next? Oh, God, Lord. Oh, I never would have waited a minute. What movie was that front? Summer school? I don't know. Mike, you're going to have to test which one that went in doubt Charlie out. I went in doubt. Charlie out. I don't remember. Hmm. Oh, you know, you said summer school. And I think he's old and 1984. And while there were movies on the road. Was it Van Wilder? I don't know. Yeah, I can't. I can't

watch that maybe again. It's been a couple. The whole Eclare incident. I just can't. It could be a city incident. Has anyone seen national anthem has been wilder? Not forever. It's been a while. Yeah. All right, you need to go rewatch it. It's summer school. Yep. Okay, there we go. Mr. Shoot. So a certain school here near me was actually in the Navy news for their trick was, quote, use a number two pencil. And that was apparently that was the answer to a bunch of the questions was number two. So if you know Goose Creek, you can figure out the Navy school. All right. Should we give this? Should I? Okay. So I've got the tumbler set up. We have 130 people watching. And I always give I was talking to Mike about this earlier. I always give away stuff at the second hour. And we may not make it that long. So I'm going to do this now.

And I'll let this run while we're chit-chatting because it's going to take about 11 minutes to do because I'm going to do two passes where it's nice and shiny when it's done. But it'll be good to log up. Yes, I'm going to it's a blue 20 ounce tumbler with the hammered air clubhouse logo on it. So let me set this up. And I know I got to switch cameras. I'm probably going to crash my computer watch. Yeah. Of course. Well, you're doing that. That's the same school that was on fail blog. The title of it was testies have never been harder. Apparently one of the students because they have to sit aboard before they pass the class or before they pass the course. And apparently he sat on himself and didn't think to ask to change positions being military. You have to request that kind of stuff. And went to the local hospital afterwards for a contused

item. Oh, he said on that item. Yeah. Set on that. One of the two. One of the two. Yeah. And you know what they charged him with failure to adhering to watch standing practices. And then they investigated the chairs to make sure it couldn't happen again. Your text on hard at work. Someone sat on their on their boys. And we do an investigation on the chairs. Oh, and we do an investigation on the chairs. Of course, of course we do because because why not? All right. So here we go. Let me have it done. I wish I still had the link I'd share it. Yeah. But apparently the one of the master chiefs got in trouble because he's the one that scanned the form and sent it to fail blog. That's funny. All right. I'm just double checking that we're in the right spot here.

All right. I've got to wear my cool glasses because did you turn the fan on? Oh, thanks for the reminder. You're welcome. Oh, I bet. Especially on a tumbler. If Shane, if I sent you a tumbler, could you put our logo next to the logo that's already on it? Sure. Or you just don't. No, no, no, because it's already on a logo on it. Could you could you put the no circle over there logo and put our logo next to it? Absolutely. Yeah. I'd do anything to the coffee and him radio style logo. Yes, there's a training. All right. So here we go. I'm glad y'all can't see these funky glasses. I got to wear. But I wish I could change your camera. You can. Hold on. I feel like I should be seeing you. You have to write one baby.

You got to. No, nobody. Yeah. No, it was the right stuff. You can't get good help these days. No, you can't. It's not going to happen. Oh, those aren't that bad. No, I actually got upgrade. The original ones look like this. So I upgraded these because they're a little bit higher quality. Again, those don't look those bad. And I figured as long as I'm as long as I'm burning shit, I might as well not burn my eyeballs. Not burn your eyes. Yep. Yeah. So I'm going to. God, I hope I don't screw this up. 80% fine. All right. That'll work. Here we go. We're going to throw fire to it. 80% power. Wow. Yeah, I didn't take much. There we go. All right. It's burning. If you want to em big in it, you can. If not, we can just sit here and chit chat. Yeah. Well, I'll be big in it for a second while I answer one. And I don't know how this is going to turn out because I didn't do a test burn on any of this.

But so far so good. Looks good. Oh, yeah. It'll look a little burnt at first. But what might say burn my eyes? Great machine heads on our machine head. I haven't heard a machine head. I think there's a bush song that talked about machine head, but yeah. You know, he's yelling at his he's yelling at his computer right now. Yeah, this is the dial lens, right? Yep. It is. Ron says that looks crappy. Well, it will because it's got suits on it. But as soon as I hit it with the second laser, it will clean that suit off. Mike says you don't listen to good music. I don't know. I'll admit it. I don't. I listen to terrible music. I was going to have it on vinyl, no less. I have a horrible vinyl collection. That was beautiful. Oh, you heard that?

Oh, yeah. What can we not hear? Okay. Mike's a little hot tonight. Got it. I'm mad. Excuse me. But anyway, while we're doing while this is running, y'all should be thinking of a. Is that is that doing? That's that maple maple barrel stout. Okay. That's nice. Y'all should be coming up with a key word. We can give this thing away. I'm drinking maple too. So I say our key word probably should probably have something to do with maple. So, chances. Yeah. So Steve, if you want to pull up the giveaway, I would pull up a giveaway tool. I would. Oh, no. My computer's running my computer's running the laser. So I don't want to get too. Too easy to get a micro PC to run the laser and just remote into it. Yeah, about that. Oh, scouts got a good one.

I've never put our logo on a cup before. So this is the first. Oh, okay. This is a one of a kind, if you will. There you go. And if it looks like shit, it's not my fault because I think on round logos, you're supposed to stretch them 10% and I think I forgot to do that. So, oops. Try green light risk-free today at greenlight.com slash try green light. Maple tron. Maple tron came close, but now I think I want to do I should probably do a limited run of tumblers for the clubhouse logo. That'd be kind of cool. Yeah. Now that I got this whole clause set up. If you guys can see it in the backroom, don't put it in the chat just yet. You should get some 40 ounce ones for the 40th. That's coming. That's true. Yeah. Do they do 40 ounce tumblers? Yeah. Oh yeah. They got it somewhere. I mean, you can get a 40. Never mind. Holly. Mike says it's the wrong logo and the wrong insulated bottle. It's supposed to say ham radio tube. Mike.

Wait, put ham radio tube on the other side. I sent you a graphic idea for ham radio tube. There you go. It was a mixture of his current logo and his previous logo. That I did with some AI stuff. Okay. Shane, what's your laser? It is the longer nano duo. So it's a 20 watt blue laser and a two watt infrared laser. Yeah. I couldn't remember the name of it, but yeah. Cory asked. So I was putting it in the chat form. I see beer snack in the chat says there goes same. So why are you not in here brother? Yeah. You've got the key. He's got he's got boy scouts. She had on Tuesday nights. Yeah. He can't come. He can't come join the cool kids club. Well, I mean, he's still a good work working with the scouts.

So if you will supply me with a logo, I will put it on. I will put it on the cup for you or I'll just bring my laser down and I'll just engrave that your giant ass water bottle. I don't know if the tumbler holder will hold that big. Oh, we will. Will it? Oh, yeah. Damn it. We got a two-stage claw. Okay. That's what she said. No, that's what he said about her. Kimmel. There's a small fire over there. Should I be concerned? It's just the thing. Okay. Mike says bring it down and come poto with you. Yeah. We'll poto out laser at the park. I'm sure the the Rangers would love that. Just using a little bit of power. No big deal. Is the laser RF quiet? I have no idea.

He doesn't know the radio. It's not breaking the squirrel show on my on my my balfang mini. So, but I'm on HF. I don't know. Could be. Damn it, snack. He likes big cups. He cannot lie. Exactly. I think if I if I did if I did more of these, I would probably do the bigger size. 20 ounce 20 ounce tumblers are okay, but even all the rest of mine in my cabinet are bigger than that. Randy, Shane can only pota if the radio falls off the bed in the truck. Nothing. I did a lot more alcohol. Shut your face. I've poted with Shane. He does it. Yeah, there he is. Randy was there for it. I have I have receipts. Bitches. Shane doesn't know how to work a radio. Is it on video? Yes, it is. Damn it. This video. Oh, they couldn't be on Shane video. Couldn't be on Shane. I don't even record myself.

I was playing radio. Yeah. So did you come up with a with a key word? I did. I did. Did you did you open the giveaway tool? That's where it's at. Okay. You got me to share the giveaway tool. So when when this first passed in past talk, when this first one ends and the cup rolls, because now you can see the the logo starting to almost be done. Starting to take shape there. Yeah, I have another drink, Shane. I have only had two tonight. Oh, you're one ahead of me? That's the problem. Hamptill alerts to Z even Shane has a stunt double. I have a ham radio double. Hamdall Orientson. Things ran hashtag it is a cookie plus. Yeah. Nice try. No. I should put a cookie post on some of the Tumblr. Oh, God. Good people areas. You already put me as a fat skydiver. So so on the ham radio tube logo,

I'm going to have it replace the two the ham radio tube with the bidet. There you go. Nice. Hey, Vern. How you doing? We're almost done with past number one. So that gray, the char that you see, that looks like it's burned. It's because it's actually smoked from the from the fire. Yes, it's burning the paint off. Well, it's put it. How many it's got to burn something. What it should do. Yeah. And then the when the infrared laser hits it, it'll clean all that stuff off. All right, you want to share the how tall to win this tool? There you go. Put that in the chat. How did you soak that we talked about? You know, of course. Or did this balance breakfast? Well, if you're a fan of dentists, Larry, you understand the maple nut crunch joke. Yes. Mike, yeah, it's ain't going to ask for Mike Tom. You got it.

Dentists, Larry. Nice. Coffee beer of the Pope. Nice. You have six minutes and six seconds to enter. Because as soon as the cup is done, the drawing is over. Okay. And you can watch the progress that you're going to do. And you can watch the progress in the top of the screen there. See how it's all nice and shiny? Where the eye are lasers hitting? Nice. You want to swap those out right quick? Let's see. Yeah, see how it's all nice and shiny? Oh, is that the eye are layered so do that? Yep. It's taking all that. So it's polishing off all of that crud that from the blue. Very cool. Okay. Yeah. And then I'll wipe it down. All right, maple nut crunch. If you want this, uh, cooler, this, uh, tumbler. So far 73 have entered of the 140 watching. I was surprised that, uh, because when I first said the word give away, there was only like 120 watching, but we told him that Mike was going to be on and look at this.

We're almost at a hundred and 41 people that are, that are watching this show tonight. Very nice. And I don't know. Does that count in? Does that take a count who's vertical and who's not? No, I just, uh, I don't know. It's just this cloakhouse. Funny. Let me see. Oh, I put a qualifier on that and I probably should have, uh, well. So in the normal stream, it says 140 watching. Okay. Oh, god, we're in trouble. He kicked in the door. Yeah. Beers, hey, you owe me $25 by the way. I don't know you. He's like, this is the unsanctioned giveaway. 25 dollars. What do you do? It's. It's completed. It's go play. Yeah. Go play. See, I'm taking the gold off right now. How are you, buddy?

I'm doing good. Shane, don't forget you got to breathe deep and then and make sure you take the hood off. So you can be doing it right. Yeah, exactly. Hey, cow. I'm done. All right, guys. You just got done, uh, done the scouts. Well, so the meeting's over, but I'm still driving the older one home. Hi. Hi. You hear them in the background. Yeah. But he, uh, he's wanted to say hi to everybody because, you know, he's feeling outgoing tonight. There you go. Hey, nothing wrong with that. So right now, uh, things are good. Life is good. Um, um, don't want me to come up to a red light, make sure there's some cops. Uh, yeah. You're just telling me you're, uh, you're listening to the clubhouse. So you're on the clubhouse. Yeah, they'll get it. Yeah, so you have a minute and 48 seconds to enter this. Uh, of course. You're 39 watching the regular streaming for watching the vertical.

All right. So you have a minute or 30 seconds. Like that. Yeah, like that. Yeah, there, yeah, there is a stream that's vertical. We do have a vertical. Cause we're, we're, uh, we're, we're kind of cool like that. Let me, we're here. So I'm centered in this. Press your head a little bit, Shane. Make your little skin here. Yeah, exactly. Take off a few pounds. God, I don't wish. Don't we wish. Nothing a little, uh, in the ozampic won't cure. Yeah, right. No, uh, don't, don't worry. I'm jumping on it because she keeps complaining. Everybody's complaining about him and dropping radios. It wasn't Shane. Remember, it was the wind that took his antenna that pulled his radio off the table. Okay. That's what it says. But they don't remember that stuff. No, no video. I don't know. I don't know if they can discriminate. Oh, well, and, you know, they make a slip on, uh, PL 259.

Yeah, they do. So if something like that happens, you, you know, but then again, when Shane carries his radio by the, by the cable, it'll follow it off. Yep, it happens. So is that, I, I, I, I sling it around by the, uh, by the, by the coax. Oh, is that so you get the omnidirectional part of it? Yeah, exactly. All right. It's almost done. Oh, we've got 10 seconds. 86 entries of 130. Come on. All right. There we go. It's almost done. As soon as that little light stops dancing. A little light dancing. What color is the light, Shane? I can't see it. It's infrared. Oh, don't look the light. All right. Hit the draw button and just finished. All the 86 if you want it. Okay. General comes South Carolina. And Mike whiskey, one beautiful hotel fox.

Okay. Congratulations. Email us. Can't bring you a clubhouse at gmail.com. Or let us know right here if you're good on Cures. All right. You know what? That's kind of. Boys. It's about to change your apartments now. No, no, no. Now you turn the fan on. Somebody will turn the fan on. Yes, Steve, too many to turn the fan on. Okay. So is that like the exhaust fan in your bathroom? Does that still don't work? Yeah. Partner sucker. I would say when you overpower the bathroom with it. Oh, no. That looks good. Look at that. That looks a lot better than the camera. Laser. Well, that stuff. All right, kids. Mike is good on the Zed. Shane. Someone tell me what his call Sunday is after the show. Or yeah, he's a light. The light. Well, I got to drop him off. Guys, I got to go. Bye. Bye. Yeah. Yeah, man. Got to stop folks and fun.

I'll see you later. Good to see you. Good to see you now. Hey, when Don gets on, when Don gets in, make sure you get the barbecue chips. Absolutely. Absolutely. Yes, he says I'm getting outs on nine. He's not going to make it tonight. That's all. So as you become there. That's very pretty. Can you see that? Can you all see the detail in the fire? No, I'll explain to you. There you go. There you go. Finally, there's thirdest. That looks good. It does. Huh. Very good. That's right. A different logo. I know, right? That's insane. All right. I love you guys. Love you, buddy. Do you? Thanks for hopping in tonight. That's cool. I might have to keep this one and make you another one. Nothing wrong with that? No, I'm not like that. All right. Here we go. Going back. That blue and the silver looks good though. You did the co-o- boozees for me.

You did the blue leather and the half like the silver. Okay. It looks nice. That turned out really good. Yeah. Oh, I've got a bike one in there too. Mike says, let him know what it costs. So it doesn't come out of your pocket. Mike who? Whiskey one, you uniform hotel fox. The winner. No, no, no. I told you I was going to give it away. I'm giving it away. We'll pull it out of the clubhouse budget. Don't worry about it, Mike. Oh, yeah. We're going to make beer saying, pay for it. I get these from from hassle outfitters. They have a really good like their powder coating is really good. It's really consistent. Yeah, you don't get any like lumps or anything in it. Okay, but they have all kinds of that. That's not really good. Oh, I got to make me one now. I will get that boxed up and sent to you this evening. Julie wants a pink one. Of course she does. Julie, you know where to find me? I won't remember it after the show. But if you'd like one, just shoot me a message.

I'll get it to you. We just take care of it. And I think they've got, let me look at their website. Close this. I'm sure they've got pink. Let's see. Oh, look at that. Jody was five, five, six, Canadian shipping contribution. You're a good man, Jody. I don't care what we say about you. Oh, I got a message in, uh, in discord from people who don't remember that I don't check discord while I'm on stream. Yeah. I get to try that to check. I try not to check discord all on one stream. But occasionally I'll pull some stuff up. All right, I'm looking to see if we have pink. There's the blue, black. I don't see pink. Oh, I just got to have pink. I don't see it. Let me see if Amazon's got the same brand. Oh, look at that. I've got an opportunity. Oh, got already done with that. Appreciate that. You're a good man, Don. Thank you for, thank you, sir. President Barack Obama. Virginia, we are counting on you.

Someone's got to have it. I've got a supplier that's somewhere that'll that has it. And I probably have the pot of power logo when you're ready Shane. Oh, I do have a pink one. There you go. There we go. All right. It's this 20 ounce. So if you want something bigger than a 20 ounce, let me know. I'll find a bigger one. Julie. 20 ounce. That's just the gray goose. Sorry. Can I throw that out there? I need something I can put my OE in. Yeah, exactly. But yeah, she, um, she made a message in discord. And I'll, uh, I'll take care of that for you. Chris, VE6. Why? Anybody else? If you want to, if you want one, I can't promise you how quickly I get them to you. If you want one, I'll make you want to just shoot me a message in discord.

I'm sorry. You're going to have to join discord. I really want people to join discord. What was the call sign of the winner? I'm going to write, I'm going to write it down right now. It's in discord. Okay. It's in our chat. Perfect. So that way I can look them up. Number one, UHF. Yep. Is there a significant thing to that call sign? See in the chat. He isn't a chat. That's how he won. What? It's a cool call sign. That guy. Hey. Yeah. Yeah, Mike, we know because we've sent you multiple messages. I would say, even when we tag him on message, he still doesn't answer. That's funny. All right, where am I going to send this to? You had to pull his call sign up on the Z. South Carolina. How do they? Why did of course? Why do they make me? Why are they all from South Carolina, man? All the winners. All the people who watch the show.

They're all in the East Coast. That's right. Oh my god. What's the six digit code? Maybe that's because I haven't logged into Z. Why sometime? Oh. You have been logged in successfully. There you go. Okay. To take me to the screen, buddy. Come on. New Hampshire. Of course. East Coast. Of course. Yeah, I mean, it is a one fall. So, right. True. All right, I'll get that sent up to you. I've actually got a box. It's another another Tumblr came in today. I'll shoot that in there for you. Anyway, you don't know how to contact you with something. Wicked one ultra high forward. Okay. That's cool. Well, Mike, I'm not going to butcher your last name. Congratulations. Thanks for being in the show tonight as always.

And I'm seeing a couple more messages pop up in discord. I'm not going to I'm not going to stray away. I'm not going to read them right now. It's from Julie. Wow. At least I know she's she's she wants that that 40 ounces of grade goes from telling you. Yeah, big. Let me look and see. So they've got so they have the 20 ounce that I was doing. Oh, wow. They have 30 ounce. It's so they're going to have like some 30. That was two or something. How big was the coffee in Ham Radio one? I think that's 30. It's like 30 or 32. And it's the same brand. I have happened to have one. Oh, of course you do. Oh, that's right. Because I'm supposed to engrave a worry. I actually bought it at the Raleigham fast. Nice. Because somebody had it on the table. Basically giving it away. Do people carry bigger than

bigger than 30s? That's a 30. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So that's the one. So I can get 40s actually. Has the same outfiter. They do 40 ounce tumblers. Okay. Hold on here. Oh, the clubhouse should have 40s. Yeah, I agree. You need to see if I can share. You can see if I can share that. That's actually cool because it's got the straw and the magnetic cup. Yeah. Cool. All right, 40 ounce tumbler it is. Oh, they have the so in the four. In the 40 ounce tumbler, they've got olive green. They've got black blue. It's a little bit more of a royal blue than what I did tonight. A light blue purple. Uh, let's see. Don, if you buy the 44th to the app, they're half price.

Oh, they do have the same blue that I did tonight. Absolutely looks good. It does. It looks really good. Yeah, I need to work on that logo. Just stretch it a little bit. But, uh, yeah, so they do 30. They have 20, 30, 40. Yeah. That's not a bad price either for the 40 ounce tumbler. Does it look like that will fit in a cup holder though? The 40 ounce. Yeah. Yeah. Is it kind of flared like the, okay. Yeah. Let me pull up a picture right away. I was going to say the 30 ounce flare. Yeah. Uh, let me. It's got a flared base. Oh, wait. No, that's not the, not a base. Cheers. Where's badge 502 and you need him. Exactly. Oh, yeah. It's a Stanley 40 ounce. What? It's a, it's a, it's a Stanley-esque. Yeah, it is. I need to see if that handle is removable. But the ones on the Stanley is.

Yeah, I was going to say, I know the ones I can get for doing, um, supplementation. The handles are, yeah, removable. It should be like a couple of screws. No, that actually does not look like they're removable. So it does not. Hot for six hours, cold for 12. Who's keeping a cold drink in there for 12 hours? Right. Especially if you're, uh, at a ham fest. I bet the G9 deal tuned it on 10 through 20. Absolutely. Oh, come on. It'll tune it on 160. You've got tumblers on the air. On five, two, that you're doing for 52 days. So I see messages coming in. So thank you guys for, uh, a dog just came here. So I know, I guess it's time to do that thing. We're only an hour in. He can wait. He can hold it. He begs to differ. You know what you got to do with one of those tumblers. Is you got to get like some of that copper tape or, or some of like the fair day

fabric and wrap it, turn the tumbler into a loading coil. Have you seen the RSC lines? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That looks wild. That's wild. Um, I needed Mike. I didn't need to come down and see you because Mike's got some of that. I was going to order it, but I was like, you know what? I don't, I don't build enough antennas to, to pay that kind of price for it. But yeah, it's pricey. But I definitely need to get some. That's really cool. Look at me wrong. Oh, yeah. He's totally thinking outside the box with that. Oh, yeah. So many of his other things like that's, it's great to see that. Ow. Stretched you. Oh, this box is perfect. Is that an Amazon box? It is, of course. Of course. There you go. I've lost. So, wait, wait, you get boxes from Amazon? Yes. All my crap comes in at bags. Depending on what it is. But, um, now that I've started making products for people like

kuzis and stuff like that and hats and stuff, I save all my Amazon boxes so I don't have to buy shit. I hear you. I don't plan. Boxes are expensive. Shipping is expensive. I didn't realize that until I started shipping things. Yeah, I realized that. Eric bought all that stuff up for going up north and I was like, didn't realize it's the arm and leg to get it up there. Oh, how much of that box cost to ship to Israel? I don't know. And I'm not talking about the stuff in here. I'm talking about just shipping that box. Julie says all the pink. Yeah, there's a, that's, I'm, um, I'll look there, but I also have, um, I have a wholesaler that I get tumblers from that I may see what they've got also. Just to count. I might be able to get a better price. I don't know how much they're going to cost. So I'm sorry. I've everyone wants a price right now. But yeah, Brian, I use my use pirate ship. Yep.

But yeah, it's that sea. That's classified as it's classified. I could tell you, but then I have to kill you. Exactly. I'll take the copyright hit on that one. They won't find out. No, it's paramount. They might. They're too busy trying to buy, uh, buy all, buy all the things. No, this is true. Hey, wait, I paid them enough money. I paid for paramount plus. Yeah, me. Well, I get it through my manager is. Yeah, yes. What do you hold on? He wants to go out. I want to show him how old is he? He's 13. No. Oh, if he needs to go out and take him out. He's an old man. Don't make him hold it. Yeah. All right, you'll give me five minutes. I'm going to be right back. Yep. All right, you got you. I'm going to stop sharing that.

Make sure you try off your camera. There you go. Oh, good. That's gracious. So I have a question for you, Steve. You ride, do you get to ride down there, like throughout the year, or like, or do you kind of get aws in the in the winter? I was curious like with the weather. If if you've been able to get out or not, or what, we get some cold days, um, but I've got, I've got weather. Oh, I've got friends that have heated gear. Yeah, I can, I can ride every month out of the year. There are now if it's sub 40, I'm not leaving the house on the bike. Okay. And if it's raining, unless I'm headed on a trip, I'm not leaving on the bike. But yeah, if it's like a local ride and they say, oh, you know, 80% chance of rain, probably not going to do it. Um, yeah. And if I open the garage door to training,

if it's just a local deal, I'll hop in the car and go. But if if I'm going to like DC and it's raining, screw it. Let's roll. Okay. Yeah, I've already paid for the trip. I'm going. So yeah, it's. And I, I've got a big touring bike. So it's, it's not terrible. Okay. Oh, Lucas, I'm jealous. We're riding to Tombstone next week from Illinois. Tortoise is rocking the KLR650. Okay. Yeah, mine's a Yamaha Venture 1300. So. Yeah. Carlos mentioned you can only ride like four months out of the year. That's the problem up north where we got four seasons. Carlos got the steel of a deal on that bike that he got.

So I don't know if he's hanging on to it or not, but. I hope he is. And four wheel and redneck is actually riding to DC with me this year. Okay. So. When do you do that again? I know you do it. You sure we can't. Memorial. Okay. Yeah, that makes it. Yeah. Yeah, we're already working on it. We've already got the deal with the hotel. So that's already going. Vaughn, did you get rid of the vicaro? Yeah. He most of that sucks. Thought you were going to come ride DC with me. Screw it. Run a bike. Come on. Is that a thing? Like, can you really? Oh, yeah, okay. You can rent Harleys. My dad actually cut a deal last year with a girl up in the northern Virginia area. And he rented a can-am from her. And I got news for you.

You won't keep me in the damn thing. I'm damn right. You better. Look, first of all, the history behind the bike is too sweet to turn it down, right? Second of all, you're right. It's a steal of a deal. Let me see. Do I have pictures I can share here? More outer 1600. Good lord. That's 16, that's a 1600, what, 300 pounds of frame? That thing's a beast. Amphillard's having a good night. Let's see. There we go. We're going to go do that and share. Jody, they do rent Harleys right at the dealership.

One iced coffee. 99 cents please. For real? No way. What a deal. Your new morning groove. Ice coffee from McDonald's. Any size for just 99 cents to 11 a.m. Pricing participation may vary. Can I be combined with any other offer? Bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, bada, so not the bike I was thinking. But.

Yeah, apparently I already have three different women fighting over riding with me. Good prom to have. All very good ladies that no matter, you know, if I'm in their area and I don't call them to go to dinner, I'm in trouble. There's a couple of them that live out in San Diego that I need to call next time I go out there. So I need to export my pictures before I can share them with you. Give me a second here, but because they're in that folder. Got it. Yeah, we'll see now you know. Let's see, you know, of course I know. I've seen the shit you share. We're in the second hour. I can say that. Oh. Ron's throwing shade there. I thought Puerto Ricans only ride mopeds. Oh, damn, dude, mopeds are redheads, right? Or blondes. You're not picky.

I am picky. You know, I didn't marry a Latin woman for a reason, you know. I am picky because you've got a death wish. Well, you know, I, I, I death by snooze to baby, death by snooze to. Yes, yes. For those of you that don't know, my wife is taller than me and gorgeous. And everyone's taller than you. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. I mean, Kyle and Jason are taller than you. No, no, they're not. They're actually not, not by much, but they're not. Hi, I'm, I'm pretty to figure out which one of these photos to share for the, I'll share this one. But so a really good friend of mine, died of cancer last year. And his wife was freaking out about what to do with his gear.

And among the many things was his bike. And I said, don't worry about it. I'll take care of selling it for you. It's too bad. I don't need a bike right now because like, I haven't had a bike in, well, since I started skidiving, I sold my motorcycle to by skydiving gear. That's a strategy. That is the, yeah, that's a straddle. The straddle. Okay. I've got one sitting in my garage right now that I'm trying to. Actually, actually, this is the roadliner. This is the, the straddle liners water cooled. The roadliner is air cooled. The later strats were water cooled. The early ones were air cooled. Well, this is a road. Anyhow, my buddy, when I went to look to see what the, you know, what the resell value of this thing was, it was so low that I was just like, a, no one's going to appreciate the paint job. So you've seen the, you're seeing the bike as a whole.

Let me, let me share a picture of one of the pictures of the, of the very intricate paint job it has. Okay. Because it's got a, yeah, I've noticed there's something going on there. It has a very gorgeous paint job on it. And what you're seeing there is just the left side of the tank. And that is on the, a similar pattern is on the fender. On the right side of the tank, on the rear fender, like on the, on the cowling pieces, everything is custom painted. My buddy was, he owned a, a distributor of paint body shop supplies. So if it goes into a body shop, his distributor ship business sells it. So he doesn't know, he didn't know how to have a vehicle that wasn't customized. He, so he would buy a vehicle and immediately take it to a customizer and have a custom paint

that with paint that came from his warehouse. Anyhow, look, a custom paint job is only valuable to the person that has it and someone that can appreciate it, right? The average Joe does not give a crap about a paint job. All they see is a bike and we're going to go ride. So anyhow, the resell value on this bike was so unbelievably low that I couldn't in good conscience sell it. Like I had to keep it because no one's going to appreciate this paint job. Like I will because I helped him. He was my really good friend. I helped him when he picked up this bike. He told me and we went and got it and you know, we went up to Michigan and he, like, he had less than a thousand miles on this. Well, hell, he had less than 600 miles on this when he had a custom painted.

Wow. When I picked, so this is a 2006. And when I picked it up from his widow, it had less than 13,000 miles on it. Mike, thanks for the $20 sheep chat. You're a good man. So, anyhow, I looked at my wife and my wife just looked at me and went just by the damn thing. So I tried buying the thing. He wouldn't have it when, you know, I was going to just go ahead and buy it. He wouldn't have it. He was like, no, no, if it's for you, we're just going to do a bill of sale on a $5 bill. So what I did is I took the difference and I donated to carcinoid cancer on his behalf. That's what he died of. Nice. And yeah, this bike is just gorgeous, man. I wish I could share a much larger picture so you guys could see the detail of the

paint job and how just stunning this thing is. Unfortunately, there's an ugly reflection on that one. Well, yeah, you know, it looks like someone trying to steal the bike. We can chat to PT that out, right? I was going to say, you should have gotten the bikini girls to take the picture for you. Yeah. Oh crap. Who let Don is Owen? He's got a key. I thought you were working. I can't see anything. What the hell is going on here tonight? You have to open your eyes first, Don. Yeah. So I'm going to see if I can borrow his trailer because his trailer is still at the warehouse. I'm going to see if I can borrow his trailer in August. Okay. If I can borrow his trailer in August, I'll put this in the trailer and take it down to Huntsville. If the weather is right, I will ride this to HamVention.

Okay. Oh cool. So, you know, the weather and make and be hit and miss. Yeah. Most of them just keep coming east and come on over to DC. I'll put you up in a hotel room for rolling your remember. See? But see, the thing is HamVention and rolling your remember are having the same weekend. No. No. We're all your remembers the weekend after. Oh really? Yes. That's why I can't do HamVention because I can't get the kitchen past two weekends at a row. Things that make you say, hmm. Well, you know, maybe maybe I can talk to Boston to letting me head to DC. That's a gorgeous bike. The hotel info. The back seat is, so it's got a custom seat. It's got, you know, it's an ultimate seat on it. It's an ultimate seat and I have the backrest for the back as well. Oh, perfect. So a blue star mother could ride with me and it's in a blue bike. I mean, blue star blue bike. Come on. There you go. Right? That's gorgeous. And it's a star motorcycle at that.

Exactly. See, it's all on theme. Yeah. Yeah. But let me give you a little tip on how to keep that chrome polished. And you be in primary military. You already know what I'm going to say. Hey, Russell, no. Close. Never doll. And the pink stuff too. It's amazing. I used to pink stuff on my stainless. It's on my burner. Well, since you guys have a full house and I'm past the hour, I'm going to stay by seven three. You guys have a good night and, uh, give me them a thought. Let me know if you need anything. And I'm, I've answered some people in discord. If you're interested in cup, let me up in discord. If you're not in discord, the link's down there. I'm not going to jack with you. Shane, we need to talk, buddy. Do you have, do you have something you can send me?

I will send them straight to you. If you send me, send me, send me an answer on this. I'm gonna encourage it. Send them to me. Let me try one. And if I can make it work, then I will. Okay, perfect. And if not, I'll send the ones that I got back to you. Perfect. Perfect. I want to put the parachute. Yes. Shane, uh, sir, do I have to do bottles? No, you're good. No, you had a meeting. Hang on. If you, if you rewind the stream, if you rewind the stream, just maybe two minutes, you're going to see that Iso is reaching for Shane's face. Like that. I've got hands up a ton. Hands up a ton. He's like, right. And then you reach from under him. The baton from under him. Come on, dude. Seriously. Iso, you're using the, the joke on the, uh, on the, uh, on the camera, not your boom mic. Or do you have your boom mic out there? No, I got these. You still, you know, you just to make sure that the, that stream yard's using those. Yeah, you're not using those. Hang on.

What do I got under it'll be under the, uh, audio. Yeah. Yeah. I love. He's done a lot of things. I have them now better. Better. That's a little better. Yeah. Okay, 73. Everybody. Thanks for everybody. Thank you for joining you. Have a good rest of the show. I'm going to do a little work stuff. Shoot me a message in discord. If you want to go, miss your man. Everybody. That's a terrible imitation of MRD. Right. It's a terrible imitation of MRD. Uh, so, uh, Mike, are you coming to him mentioned? Yes. I will be there. Okay. So whether permitting, whether permitting, I will ride the bike. Nice. How long of a drive is it for you? It's about three and a half hours. Oh, yeah, it's a short drive for you. Yeah, I mean, that's definitely an easy ride. Like, I can, I can take my time on the bike and still be four and a half hours

and not care about it. Uh, the only concern I have is I need to be able to fit a parachute and a radio. And that's it. Well, a parachute radio and three changes the clothes, which my saddlebags and the sissy bag bag should manage that. Okay, you're small enough that should manage. Yeah, just wear the parachute on your back and call it good. I've, I've thought about it. The problem is what if the pilot shoot comes out? You don't have a way to secure that? I do. I'm going to stuff it like if I have to wear it, I'm going to stuff it into the like B.O.C. So that the handle's nut out. But I would rather have it in a, in a protected, self, you know, contained item. I'll figure that out as we go along. I have the, the back seat rest has a sissy bar and a rack on it. So what my hope is that I can stuff that in a,

I have a pelican case that should fit back there, okay? Okay. So if I can fit my pelican on there, I can put my clothes on the saddlebags. I'm okay. There you go. And if you want to ship me your clothes, I can bring them over. Okay. That's, that's the weekend after. And I'll talk to the boss over there about it after we get off the street. So yeah. But yeah, that's. It's a good time. And yeah, lovely group of ladies. So and help bring your camera equipment and make a YouTube video out and write it off. Well, yeah, I mean, that's, that's a gimmie. I would, I would put the, you know, Osmo want to handle more handlebar mount and record the trip. There you go. All right.

Can you do tandem's at handvention? I don't think you can, right? Place, the Cincinnati or the place immediately next to the draw, to the convention to the, to the, to the, what do you call it? Fairgrounds. That lady won't let me do tandem's there. However, down about another half hour south, Scott, I've seen, Cincinnati, the lady there has no problem doing it. So I can totally do a tandem there. We just have to arrange it ahead of time so that she knows that she has a, you know, an external instructor coming in to do stuff because they have two different kinds of tandem rigs. And I'm only certified on one and they only have one of those. Oh, wow. So they're a handful of tandem rig manufacturers out there in the United States. The primary and most popular one is made by UPT.

See, what's, what's UPT? What does the UPT stand on the, I can't remember what UPT stands for today, but it used to be the uninsured parachute lab. Uninsured parachute tandem. The uninsured parachute lab. Well, so the thing is the owner of the company, Bill, oh my god, what is Bill's last name? It doesn't matter, Bill. Early on, found out that he might have to testify in court in the event of anything happening. Right? And his lawyer said, listen, you cannot on the stand say whether you're insured or not insured on the, because then that becomes an issue in court. So he goes, okay, no problem. So he named his company, the original name of the company was the uninsured parachute lab.

So that when he, if in the event that he was called to testify, the, his lawyer would ask him, what is the name of your company? He would say the uninsured parachute lab. Makes sense, doesn't he? He didn't say he's uninsured, but his company, exactly, it's, it's thinking out of the box, Bill Booth is a genius. He's also come up with several inventions in skydiving technology. The reason skydiving is as safe as it is today is because of Bill Booth. Oh, yeah. So, yeah, anyhow, so I mean, I am rated in a UPT vector. I am not rated on, on strong tandem. I am not rated on parachute labs, parachute de France. So that's a French company. And there's a couple others. I'm only rated on UPT vector because it's the most popular rig in the United States.

It's the one that we use at the drops on I work at. And in order to maintain your rating, you have to do a number of jumps on that specific type of rig every year. Okay. Since there's no chance in this world that I would get you know, the number of jumps on any other rig, there's no sense in me getting rated for any other container. Okay. So the catch being that UPT rigs being the most popular in the United States, and actually probably the most popular around the world, they're the most expensive. If a complete UPT system is right around $25,000 right now, by comparison, a complete strong tandem right now. So it's for about 12. You're a jamming near favorite song. And while you aren't missing a beat, you could be missing a signal from your body. It's an SOS from your kidneys, and it doesn't sound like music at all. It's silent. High blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, and other risk factors can quietly stress the kidneys,

leading to negative impacts on the heart. That's why you should ask your doctor about a simple urine test called UACR. Most miss the signal for hidden kidney disease and related heart risk. But for the guy running the drop zone.

It's a big chunk of change too. Because he's like, at the drop center, like at the drop zone I work at, we have 27 of them. Yeah, oh yeah. Now, in volume, yes, it's a big chunk of change. But how much money is that? Oh, it can't make you like, yeah. And not only that, he cycles them every three years, and after three years, he sells them for like 18. So he's still money in it. Yeah, yeah. Still ahead. Oh, yeah. Good, and of course, of course, I use, I use, I use one every day. Okay, yeah. I mean, I mean, after the first use, it's actually after the very first use, it's used by my, my primary parachute mobile rig is a used container. It's a 20 year old container. As long as it's, as long as it's still structurally viable, I have no problem with it. That's a 20 year old container that you're flying. Yeah, my, my parachute mobile rig is 20 years old.

My, as long as my rigor says, I'm happy, I have no problem. The one with my rigor says, you need to fix this, I fix it. The one with my rigor says, this is no longer viable. I'm ditching it. I don't care. Right. Replacing that system is going to cost me nine grand. But what's your life worth? Exactly. I feel the same way about helmets. Exactly. Same, same with me. I'm like, you know, people go, oh, you know, motorcycle helmet expires out after so many years. I'm like, yeah, so you've ever been banged in the head with a stone from a mower, what you're writing, because I have. How about a June bug? I mean, June bug, really? Oh, yeah. Well, yeah. They hurt. Sparrow. I take a sparrow. Oh, do a sparrow. Oh, God. The guy riding behind me said it was a tough to feathers, as all he saw. The brews on my shin was six by six.

Dude, I mean, you replace the thing and people go, but, but, but, you know, it's not strong. I don't care. It took a hit is getting replaced. Because my life is worth way more than a new helmet. Yep. So at least to me, I mean, maybe to somebody else, not so much. Well, I would say the guys that ride around here in South Carolina with no helmet and in shorts and flip flops. Hey, man, you do you bloody, but not me. I'm, of course, I love the guys that ride around a full face. You know, wife, beater, shorts and flip flops. It's like, oh, you want to remember the road rash. Great. And if you want to have a really good time, go to Merrill Beach Memorial Day weekend. Oh, no. Cust me later. I did not say thank me for later. I said, cust me later. Hey, I will. You will see stuff that you will never unsee. You never want to see.

This is also true. There's not enough eye bleach in the world. So yeah, um, iso, you're going to get your camera set. It moves and moves on its own. And I don't know why. But this is why I don't like using the eye pack. It's trying to focus on gum being the back. It's called stage presence or stage manager. I think it is. You have to disable the settings. Under what we're going to be under what settings where in settings in the iPad or setting in the string or it out. It's in the iPad app. Yeah, it's in the iPad. We'll deal with it later. Don't worry about it. All right. And it's it zooms in like he's going to say something important. But then no, no, no. It zooms back out. I got nothing to say important. I just wanted to be with real people. Mike, yes, yes, I do. As a matter of fact, send me a message on Discord reminding me and I'll gladly get you your half a kilo.

My doc needs another fix too, by the way. Well, send me a message on Discord. I can I can hook that up. She waited till after she had the baby to break into that. Oh, well, of course. And it was gone quick. And she's like, I'm back to Costco coffee. I was like, uh, it's like, let me hook you up. So, um, yeah, um, so the answer to your question, Mike, is, if we arrange it ahead of time, we can absolutely do it down. It's kind of Cincinnati. Not a problem. The lady there is, uh, uh, I met her last year. She was lovely to work with. She was chatting no issues. The only problem we had was weather. I'm just at the weight on weather, right? We can't fix weather. Um, but, uh, yeah, absolutely. We can totally, if you want to do this thing, we'll talk about fine. We can do this thing.

We can even do it on 220. That's it. You know it. There you go. Hey, you know, hey, I got a 220 radio. I was, uh, let's just shame my old brother. I was listening to, uh, Liffery and Ham this, uh, this morning. Oh, yes. And you were on there and I was like, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, 220. Okay, I got it. Yeah, uh, I have a VX six that does 220, but I need to, uh, I need a 220 antenna for it. You need a good one for that too, I think, because I think it's, it's, it's a put out like a watt. Yeah, yeah, yeah, one watt. Yeah, so, uh, Robert Digital Rancher has the same antenna I have for 220. He's got the elk, uh, I have an elk for 220 and I know Robert's got one. We can't do an elk out of a parachute. That's difficult. Oh no, I, uh, I got signal sticks and other things. I'll, I'll put a signal stick on it, but, um, stick for 220. There you go. Yeah, um, yeah, I got a signal stick and, and the smiley, uh, for, for 220.

So, do you have a breed? No, a breed for 220. Isn't it a breed like a, a full wave antenna at two meters? It's like a double wave on two meters. I got a slim gym for 220. We could jump with a N90 AX and, uh, we can definitely stream it behind us. That's not a problem. I have options. Uh, there you go. But, um, yeah, well, yeah, we'll connect. But you say the word, man, I, I got you. Um, hell, uh, if you can manage to put a key on it, we can, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did, did. You need to hack a quenching so that I can do like, uh, uh, SSB, uh, um, 1.25 meters. I'm crazy like that. I've seen a 220 sideband, uh, CW done an FM.

Yeah, yep. On, on 52, no less. Exactly. So, it was on the chatter earlier, um, Um, and oh my God, the hate on Facebook from that, they can get over it. Well, if they knew, if they really understood their radio, they'd know their radio wouldn't have heard it. Because on FM, it suppresses the carrier. So what was he just on the carrier? So what was the issue? Because he was on 146.52 or even I think a repeater frequency at one point, doing CW. But again, nobody heard it because the radio will suppress it. But you know, people want to get butt hurt for the sake of getting butt hurt. And to those people, I love to stir the pot. Yes. Yes, yes, you do. You're a very good chef. Hi, he's an excellent chef when I come to that.

Hi, listen. If you want to get butt hurt, I'm the wrong guy to target because I will totally just stir your pot. I'm going to be like, yes, let the hate flow through you. Okay. Cross, uh, since we're almost two hours in, I'm going to go ahead and stir the pot. How many breaks to the service are there? Oh, that depends in, in real truth, in real truth, we're looking at three, three, three, okay, three. Right. You have the army, you have the Navy and you have the Air Force, those are the three branches of service. Now, hang on, hang on. The Navy has the Department of the Navy and the Department of, and the Marine Corps. Uh-huh, but they both fall under the Department of the Navy. Therefore, that is the Department of the Navy. That's three.

Right now, occasionally, you may have a fourth called the Coast Guard, occasionally, because Coast Guard is part of the HS. Yep. They only get you funded. Exactly. And they only get called into the military when we have a military need for them. So, like legitimately, we have three branches. Right. Now that said, that said, I have a great, deep, massive respect for my brothers and the Marines. Oh, absolutely. Right. So, to, to make sure that I don't, uh, piss off the wrong egos because they're my friends and they're my brothers. I thought you said you like to stir the pot. I do like to stir the pot, which is why I left the, which is why I left the, the space foresight of this. And that's why I said the, the Coast Guard is definitely not one of the definitive ones, right?

Okay. So, because I love my marine brothers, they are the men's department of the Navy, but they still got to ask daddy for a ride. Yes, they still have asked daddy for a ride. They have to ask daddy real nice. But I mean, three, three branches make up the, the Department of Defense, Army, Navy, Air Force. And if we really want to get nasty about it, the Air Force belongs to the Army, they're only what they are because of technicalities. What's your technicality? The technicality is, well, the, the Air Force began as part of the Army. It used to be the US Army Air Force, right? And it wasn't I want to say until the Korea, that Congress broke it out as its own. But look, what does the Air Force do?

They soften targets for the Army. That's what they do. Now, don't get me wrong. The Air Force is the smartest branch there is. If I have a kid that comes to me and says, hey, I want to go to the military and I go, go to the Air Force, you were in the Army and I go, yeah, go in the Air Force. And they go, but you were in the Army like, yeah, if you want to be treated like a human being, go to the Air Force. They're more like a corporate job than a branch of the military. The rest of the other military branches, they're going to treat you like garbage because that's what you are. You're garbage, you're disposable, you're nothing but cannon fodder, don't worry about it. If you want to be treated right, go to the Air Force. Now, how many of those kids actually listen to Uncle Carlos? Not. None. And then they get out and they go, Uncle Carlos, you were right. I should have gone to the Air Force. I told you a stupid idiot. Which is why I say there's only two. You have the Army, you have the Navy. The Air Force's corporation and the Marines are occult.

Yes, the Marines are occult. Good way to put it. And I love my Marines. I love my Marines, but you know, when you, the thing is when you absolutely, possibly have to get it wrecked. They want to say, get it done. No, my ass. When you want to get it wrecked, you send them Marines in. They're going to wreck some shit. Well, speaking of that, has anybody heard from our friendly crann munchers? Well, they've been kind of quiet here lately. Have you kept an eye on the troop transports flying east? You do know what I have right here? You've been to my house. You just say, I mean, I've got C-17s right there, which is, you know, Uncle Sam's Canada will pass. Now that that direction, I have Marine Quarer Station Beaford. So, yeah. And it's been kind of silent around here. So, I'm a little worried.

You know, Hugh Chris, yes, the Red Crans are the best. Here's the, I disagree. The grape ones are the best. Why? Did I taste purple? Exactly. Don't, it's hot. Don't get the guts, it gets the joke with it, I even know it. The grape ones taste purple. Look, Steve, if you really want to get a gauge of what's happening, order a domino's pizza. If it's going to take longer than 30 minutes, there's some shit going down. Now that when the waffle house closes, you know, shit's going down. That's, that's for hurricane, man. Not just hurricane. When the waffle house has to cater to the military, then you know, shit's going down. You know, speaking of which, I don't know about you all, but chow at the mess hall versus chow at the waffle house,

I'll take the waffle house all day. Unless you're on an air force base. Exactly, unless you're, but again, we go back to the air force being the corporate branch. Yeah, how much stake and lobster do you get served? Lots. Oh, really, when you're getting ready for deployment, when you're about to get deployed, it's taken lobster. No, or you're on deployment and you're supposed to be coming home and they serve lobster, you know, you're about to get six months. It's the truth, man. It's the truth. When they fly in fresh lobster, you know you're getting screwed. You're getting screwed over. But yes, all the chow halls I've been in around the world, the air force hasn't made. Oh, the air force, man. And my first deployment, so I was in a joint unit. So the services would take turns leading.

Okay, and my first deployment was an army led deployment. Typical army, you know, we have MREs for lunch and then a hot and a hot, you know, hot breakfast hot, hot dinner. Mm-hmm, you know, midnight rats were warm. Hey, that'll be good, right? Did you know that parents rank teaching financial literacy as the toughest life skill? That's where green light comes in. Until the season changes and suddenly you lose your motivation to get out of bed. In fact, one in five people experience some form of depression no matter the season or time of year. At the American Psychiatric Association Foundation, our vision is to build a mentally healthy nation for all, because we want you to live your best life and be your best you all year round. Please visit mentallyhealthination.org to learn more. My second deployment was with the Air Force. The Air Force led. I am not joking. We had catered meals. Every single meal. That deployment got extended. The Air Force handed off the playbook to the Marines. We went literally, we went literally from staying in a five-star hotel to sleeping in a tent. And I'm going to talk about a GP medium. I'm talking about like a pup tent. And eating the whole cheese.

The next deployment was led by the Navy. And the Navy is kind of an odd duck. We had some really, really good meals coming off the ship initially. And then the transition just to T-rats. Oh. You know, kind of like a, what the? It was one of those, like, these are all deployments. These are all to the same general area. How in the world are we getting this very mass and as all in who's running the show? Well, and depends on what ship is helping support you. Dude, we had the, uh, the La Sal with the Navy. Okay. It's a flat bottom, uh, ship that normally cruises in the med or, or, or cruised in the med. I don't know if it's still in, in business or not.

Um, and it was off the, uh, western coast of Africa. And I had to go on ship. Like, I was supposed to be there for like two hours to fix a tech issue. Oh, I got, I got stuck, okay. I got stuck there for two days. On a flat bottom ship in the Atlantic Ocean. I was tossing my cookies. It did not matter where he was. This is to be you. Oh, my, uh, she was decaromed in 2005. Oh, man, I, I'm sad and I'm not sad. I'm sad because other people don't get to experience the mystery that I went through. I'm not sad because other people don't have to experience the mystery. I went, but I'll tell you, you got to give it up for the cooks, especially on carriers. Oh, dude, the cooks of feed five thousand. No, just feeding five thousand, but feeding five thousand people well. Yeah, and every day, three meals every day, three meals a day.

Yep, at least four four, because you get midrats. You get midrats and midrats are not full meals, uh, but they are warm or hot. And they are, like, they're pretty, like, standard. But man, alive, they're good. Well, and, you know, they're healthy. I'm not going to say they're all good, but, you know, nutritionally, they're healthy. I mean, how about this? I never had a midnight rat from the, uh, from the Navy that wasn't, like, absolutely edible. Oh, like, now midrats are usually on point. I'm talking the powdered eggs for breakfast might be a problem. But that, that, that's just did though. We didn't, we never had powdered eggs for breakfast from the, from the Navy. Yeah, we had, we had them from the Marines. Oh, of course you had it from the Marines. We had them from the Army, but never from the, never from the Navy or never from the Air Force. Okay.

Um, now I'm not saying that this, that it doesn't happen. I'm saying that for us, in my experience, that's what I got. I'll tell you, midnight SOS, some of the best stuff you'll ever get. Yes, people, people like to, you know, like poo poo and shed on a shingle and my god is good. Oh, that's some of the best you can get, especially at midnight. You know, you know, you know, a little pick me up. You still have to have another six hours to be awake and, you know, yeah. War dream coffee and SOS, it's not good to go for another 12 hours. I may not go for another 12 hours, but I'm good to go for that. Oh, dude. But yeah, the La Sal was, uh, yeah, she, she was a trip. So a flat bottom, it hit every wave. Oh, yeah. Yeah, it doesn't, it doesn't cut through the wave. Um, and it's, and the La Sal was not very big.

Uh, it was the, it was the flagship for the Mediterranean fleet, but it was not a very big ship. But it, it, you know, it held the admiral. So that's, that's what we had to go. And his primary purpose was to resupply the one I'm seeing was a Raleigh class amphibious transport dock. That sounds right. So, uh, surprisingly, admiral was on that 521 feet in length. So again, not very long, not very big as a, as a ship, um, only six rotary aircraft. But, uh, we were having an issue with our telecommunications and I was the Comsec custodian for that deployment. So I had to go, I literally had to take

keying material from the press of El Congo onto the La Sal. And I thought it was just going to be like, we, I was told, you're going to go in, you're going to key the equipment, you're going to come back. Yeah, that, that, that didn't happen. Nope. Were they using power poles back then? Say, well, were they, were they using power poles back then? Not even slightly. They don't even use power poles now. They don't use power poles now. You did connect us a twist. Yeah. Mill spiked in twist of the, the Amphanol hell, uh, spit on it, it'll be okay. Right. You know, hey, you ever want to have some fun? So buy a Humvee from the, uh, military auction. Okay. Because what they do to decommission them is they cut all the harnesses and the, all those connectors are military didn't twist.

Like they're Amphanol twist. So you have to, those are 60 plus pins. Yeah, you have to go buy that, which is not cheap. Like one of those connectors is several hundred dollars. And then you have to solder extra wire on them. And then you have to figure out what wire goes where, and pin it all in. And they're tiny little pins, man. Now we are. Yeah. Well, you know, I don't know that is there could find the keys for the Humvee. I don't think he could find the keys for the Humvee. In the visor. Is it a push button? Is it an actual, what, a traditional, what we used to have for cars? Or is it, was a, what we know now as a push button? I mean, it's a push button. Yeah, there's push button. It is a, well, it's not even a push button. It's a, it's a, it's a, it's a moment, it's a momentary switch. But yeah, you're never, you're never going to find the keys for the damn thing. Is it going to be, is it going to be somewhere in a gear box,

shifter? It's actually going to be like on the dash. Brickhouse, you need to shut the hell up, pal. This is part of the E4 Mafia code. You need to shut the hell up, pal. But here's the fun. I can't believe we got this far into it without here in E4 until right now. But the fun part about it is you can't jump it off with a normal jump starter. No, there, there are 24 volt system. Yeah, 24 volt system. So, well, we, so what we used to do to have keys to the humvee is we would take a length of chain and we would hook it around the brake pedal and hook it around the steering wheel and put an arm's room padlock on it. Are you an arm's room? No, they're just master locks now, boy.

We used to use arm's rooms because listen, again, E4 Mafia. You had started at Greenleys coming out of every orifice known to man. I mean, I won't say that the, you know, I won't say that my unit had vehicles with numbers repainted on them, but when the supply sergeant looks at the, at the number on the bumper and that's how he looks at, you're good to go. When the supply sergeant goes looks at the actual serial number placard, you got problems. That's why you're supposed to remove that placard. What placard? Exactly. And just put, just put a patch of grass all the way around it and you can't look anyway. Oh, dude.

Too many tails to tell. Oh, he's zooming in on Iso. I'm waiting for him to say something epic like, I'm just enjoying this freaking iPad. What are you smoking, Iso? This is the, the inch from, yeah, this is the inch. Well, then I got, but this will probably be tomorrow. This is a, oh, ironically enough, it's called a sea monkey. There you go. It's on the car wagons. Because I, I literally have a video coming out about that soon. I have not joking. I have. Steve knows I literally have a video coming out about that soon. Of course, I'll go find the cable stretcher. A bucket of steam, take bearings, chem light batteries.

I was going to say, I worked at aviation. I used to send the girls for five gallons of prop wash. 30 feet of flight line. Grid squares. Yeah, we can keep going on those all. I mean, I literally, and they had to fill out the ID-10T form. You have to fill out the ID-10T form. And it's got to be signed by the captain. And what you do is, you know, especially in the section I was in. We were in communications shock shocker. The new guy, he tells tell him, hey, man, I need you to supply and tell, you know, sort of Stevens. You need the batteries of the preky seven. They would go. The guys that I know have batteries for a preky seven. They just, they was an e7. Well, the problem is, they might be in something.

Well, you know, he is a trendy figure. What I'm talking about. Yeah, I'm, and I'm reading it first of I fixed my camera. So thank you guys, if I apologize, a thousand. Yeah, don't worry about it. What is this? What is this approach to gate key that he's everyone. It's so you're close enough to new London. Yeah, you can just drive up there and ask him. Don't do it right now, though. They're a little touchy. They're a little touchy. Yeah, I'm not going to go there when they're not touchy. I'm not going to listen. I'm not just respectful. I would never walk into the gate. The guy at the gate today, man, I'm here for your first gate key. What I'm going to do that. It's a paramedal bracelets. He should have killed him. He should have just let him try.

He wouldn't try it. At New London, you definitely don't want to try that one. There's shit that goes boom there. I won't even do it the other and the opposite direction to the coast guard group that I have here. I mean, the coast, but the thing is the coast guard again. You know, they'll let anybody in. Yep. Hey, man, can I get rotten grotton? Yeah, well, exactly right. But from what I hear to sub based museum, it's absolutely fantastic. Oh, yeah. Try to ring an area this summer or whatever. You'll be looking for something to do on the show. That's where you go for a fun trip. When I was up there visiting you, I should have swung up there. I still want to do it. I've been here all my life. I haven't done it so I've got to put it on my bucket list for shame. Shame, shame, shame, shame. Come on, people. Let's help me out here. No. I mean, I bidded to other parts escorted for other reasons,

but not for the silver chips. Yeah, and a few other reasons. But anything else for pleasurable, seasonal tourists, it's all tourist activities. Tourist and tourist activities. Where's Shane when we need him to do the King of the Hill action? Oh my god. I'm so glad I picked you up camera. Oh my god. It's just so much. I was getting dizzy. I'm getting dizzy with that shirt. So it was a setting in stage, right? I found do not try to find out. I was hit. I was hit. I was shitting everything off. The sun shining birds are singing and all feels right in the world. Until the season changes and suddenly you lose your motivation to get out of bed. In fact, one in five people experience some form of depression, no matter the season or time of year. So Mike, I'll have you know, during my 10th Park Rove, okay, I called CQ152 on your behalf several times. Never got a single count, never got a single answer, but I tried. That's all it counts. That's all it matters, you know, that's yeah. But I think you hold the distance record amongst our friend group of the longest contact on five two. I, well, I, I have an unfair advantage. Yeah, 10,000 feet, you're not wrong. But, but Paul is going to do that soon too. Paul, Paul's working really well towards it. With any luck, we can get him a couple hundred miles on five two.

What was your distance on how far miles did you get? Almost almost 400. That huntsville. Okay, yeah. What the heck did I get? I got almost to, almost to Jacksonville. I think it was. Okay. How? It was, it was southeastern Georgia. I was good. Georgia sounds familiar now that you say that. Yeah. Okay. But, you know, once Paul gets going, the thing is Paul has a massive advantage over me. He can, he can skydive anytime he wants. Yeah. I was going to say, and he just got to jump. It's got a pletka. He didn't get to make it up there and get a jump in. I don't know if he got to meet my friend Rachel there or not, but I hope he did because she's very easy on the ice. Most of your female friends are. Well, you know, I am a fortunate man. I am a fortunate man. Yeah. I told him before he went, I was like, you need to find Rachel.

He goes, why? And I sent him a picture of Rachel. He goes, yes, I need to find Rachel. I said, by the way, she's single. He goes, I'm a stimp, I like. How do you just go back up North? He's on his way to Texas, I think. Yeah. Okay. Well, when I said North, I meant Chicago area. He will be, I don't know why. Well, because, you know, see you see, man. Yeah. Well, that's the only reason to go to Illinois. So the thing is, once you experience CSE as a jumper, it's really difficult to not want to be there. And I've been to a lot of drop zones. And personally, obviously for me, nothing rivals CSE. I drive four hours to get there. And they're closer drop zones to me. But there's something special about that place. It's the same as any other Midwest drop zone. Corn and beans and bean and corn, man.

But the, the cohesiveness of the place, the safety aspect of the place, the friendlyness. Wasn't the whale down here for maintenance? It is. How is it back down here? I think it's there right now, because they're getting it ready for our season. But our, our, our DZO Jade goes to a triangle in North Carolina. I think this is trying North Carolina, North Carolina, North Carolina. North Carolina for maintenance. The whale goes to North Carolina for maintenance. When we can't take it to North Carolina, because our opt-tempo won't allow us to, we fly the mechanic from North Carolina to Chicago. We pick him up at the airport and we bring him to the drop zone. We keep like, like, no, seriously, Doug is very, Doug is very keen on keeping all of his gear

tip top, which is why he sells a third of it every year. Like, like, you don't have to. You can keep on riding the same gear for 15 years. But he's like, no, I would rather just have brand new gear every year. So a third, a third, and a third goes out every year. And what would you say is your top three to five around the country's dark zone that you like? Based upon all the criteria that you feel are important to you, safety, and payment-wise, what's, give me states or location. Like, without a question, CSE, Chicago land is my home. That's number one without a question. And I'm not just saying that because it's my home, I'm saying like, I go there because of a reason, right? Immediately thereafter, Skydive, Alabama, down to Coleman. That's where I jump when I'm down at Huntsville. That place is phenomenal, very similar mindset. The staff is amazing.

The crew, the fun jumpers are like, again, similar kind of like feel. If I lived in Alabama, that's where I would go. Skydive, Sebastian would be probably number three, the land, number four. Let me back up. Sebastian, now I have a backup. Z-Hills, Sebastian, the land. And they're all, all three of those are in Florida. I have not experienced the current, the new Skydive Puerto Rico. So I can't say that place. But when it comes to views, nothing beats that place. At least not for me. I mean, I'm a little biased, just, just little biased, right? Where is Skydive Puerto Rico? What part of the island? At a sea bowl. Okay. So it's right on the coast of the island. And North Coast of the island.

And you can land at the airport. You can land at the beach. Just depends on how they want to, you know, how you tell them you want to run. It's a lovely place to jump at. The same thing is true for Sebastian. Sebastian has some loads that land on the beach and the views are gorgeous. So how did I give you five already? So CSE, Alabama, Z-Hills, Sebastian, the land. Honorable mention there, Skydive, Carolina, and right, really close to Steve. What's about a couple of hours from you, Steve? Yeah, on a bad day. Their new management is really good. Not the views you're going to get in Florida. Not the views you're going to get in Puerto Rico. But when it comes to maintenance of the gear, maintenance of the equipment and everything else,

yeah, like I would rather have a boring view in the central North Illinois, corn and bean and bean and corn and be super safe, then have a coastal view in, you know, wherever as much as I love the beach, you know, end of the day. I have plans for tonight. They don't involve the Morgan. They don't involve the hospitals. Exactly, yeah. Yeah, 168 miles, about three hours. Oh, yes, it's skipping, hopping to jump, right? What he's doing, a really good job managing that place. Yeah, outside of that, I'll tell you that the Spaceland drop zones in Texas and Florida are phenomenal places. The owner of Spaceland as a group is also super focused on safety.

Skydive Paris is just, again, when it comes to safety, like, I am fortunate to live in a sport that everybody thinks is dangerous and it's not because of the people that run it, right? Skydiving is incredibly dangerous until you start mitigating the factors that make it dangerous. And once you do that, it becomes incredibly safe. We have a very, very minute mortality rate. People think that we're looking for death and we're not. We're looking for life. And this is really neat to see drop zone owners and drop zone managers that are still keen on that, not just making a buck. I'm going to be wrong. They're trying to make a buck. That's why they're in business. But they're keen on keeping it safe.

Yeah, absolutely. So that's why that's why Paul's coming back up to the North. You know, it's it's kind of a boring view. You've seen many of my videos. There's some rail yard. There's corn. There's bean. And there's a highway. And that's about it. But you look at my landing area. You can see how big that freaking landing area is. Yeah. Compared to some of the areas I've seen, that's huge. I mean, compared to the place I learned, this guide I've had, the place I learned this guide I've had a little patch. And, you know, like, it was sketch, man. So, anyhow, put it all on a dude. We're at the 15 out of 14 after the hour. Yeah, it's getting late. So, is what do you got coming up? How much of family stuff this weekend? I've got some major projects going on.

Crazy weather for raining out right now. I've been not going to be able to do some photos this weekend. Who knows? I can see some sunsides. I get a pass for a couple hours. Mike, I'm so sorry. I was late to help promote your ride too. But, I have it on every time I go up and down like tomorrow morning. You know, as I'm going to work, I'm going to hear if there's something to hear if there's something to do. But, no, I know for me, I'm learning to, you know, back and forth to work on all my troubles this weekend that I'm off and everything. So, that's about it for me. And we'll be, we'll hopefully be up next week. All right, Carlos. CQ, CQ, CQ 5, 2, CQ, CQ, CQ 5, 2. I'm doing this in honor of, you know, that guy right there. We're going to do this. Let's see if we can get some Qs hose on. Hopefully I get a few of those and record them. And maybe I'll turn it into a video. Otherwise, my typical Tuesday night drops are happening.

Tuesday night hem radio. Mike hasn't mentioned it yet, but three year anniversary is this week or next week. Uh, it's the 20th technically. So it's two weeks. Yeah, we're just a couple of weeks away. Um, if you're not aware of Tuesday night hem radio, we'd like to stack up a number of videos before clubhouse. As a, as an appetizer, if you will, we're, we're, we're, we're giving your palette something to chew on that's actually hem radio related. It's tailgate. Exactly before you go into the debauchery of clubhouse. If you're here watching 69 of you live left in here, uh, uh, uh, join us. We typically start somewhere near seven. Mike always publishes a playlist on his ex. Um, so follow Mike, follow his ex. And, you know, he'll, he'll send you the playlist every year. No, she crazy. That's why he divorced her.

Yeah. So that's that's what I got. The water dammit. Yeah. All right. Mike, how about you? Um, let's see here. Normally, I, thank you got, well, first of all, let me back up. Thank you for having me on to talk about the five two challenge. Um, I appreciate that. It's something that, you know, I just put together and, you know, if, you know, is it we can look back at the messages like I still hadn't done the video or kind of, this thing was half baked. I was literally, you know, what is it, putting the wings on the plane is we're taking off, you know, um, but, uh, you know, like, like I said earlier, we sometimes we just need these deadlines, these moments and times to motivate us. And, uh, you know, it's great to see that other people are out there trying and doing this because, you know, let's get some more activity. You know, like I say, leave no band behind and, uh, and stuff. So I'll be doing a whole bunch of videos on that. I'm going to be doing videos. I got a bunch of antennas I got to get to, um,

for reviews, some are on their way here. Some I've been sitting on for a while. And, um, and then the other thing, you know, is if this whole five two challenge thing isn't enough, um, for a little over a year now, I've been doing this thing, um, work band Wednesday. I came up with because, you know, you got those curmudgeons on 17 and and everything that no, no contesting, no podon, the work bands and stuff. And so I try to make myself and have been doing this for over a year, use the work bands every Wednesday, um, 12, 17, 30, whether you're just doing windlink, you know, on 30 meters, because it's Wednesday too, right? Um, yeah. Or, you know, you, you want to, you know, do podon 17 hunt DX on 12, whatever, just like get out, use these bands, right? Leave no band behind. So, um, I've been out at dark 30 most Wednesdays this year because my son's got drivers at at six. And I got to drop him off at the school. So, um, you know, usually I'm on like

30 meters or something, um, but we're getting closer to spring. Blocks are going to change soon. So I'll be able to get on 17, uh, sooner and stuff. But, um, but yeah, uh, my wife texted me during this. She's like, I'll get Ben to drivers at tomorrow. So I might not be out at 6 30. We'll see how it goes. Um, yeah. If I'm not out at 6 30 in the morning on 30, I'll be out at like, you know, uh, uh, six in the evening on 17 stop when you were home. Yeah. Yeah. I'll get it done either way. You know, it's, it's just fun. You know, I'm trying to, I'm trying to do podon each week, which is not a huge lift. Um, but that's, that's what's fun. And, and that's my platform for learning and, and playing radio. So good stuff. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I've got the robotics competition this weekend. So I'll be busy Thursday, Friday, Saturday with that. Sunday, I've got to go have dinner with my

in-laws. I got a smoke of pork shoulder for that. And at some point, I got to replace the serpentine built in the car. Does it decided to exit the building today? Yeah, it did not sound pretty luckily. It was right here in front of the house when it did it. So I pulled her out and pulled back in, popped in the truck and went on to robotics. So, wow. Yeah. All right. I'm going to hit the button here. Y'all wave 73. Bye bye now. We'll see y'all next Tuesday. Bye bye now. See ya. You should quit reaching for Shane's bits.
