Episode 224: Anna Marie Emry

About this episode

On August 13th, 1994, a 9-year-old little girl is snatched from her bed in the middle of the night. Hundreds of volunteers sweep the cornfields of Brighton, Iowa, desperate to locate the little girl. Local law enforcement exhaust their every resource to find her: canine units, helicopters, off-road vehicles, over 500 missing child posters, internet forums, and more. But no matter how hard they look, investigators only discover one clue: a screen door that was removed from its tracks and placed outside the house where the little girl was sleeping. After five days of searching with nothing to show for it, the little girl’s family, the police, and local residents are losing hope. Until, suddenly, the very same man who installed the dismantled screen door confesses. In episode 224, Jac and Alexis explain how Lary Lane Morgan shattered his friends’ trust and destroyed the safety of an entire community when he kidnapped, sexually assaulted, and murdered Anna Marie Emry. 🎟 Catch up to FOUR bonus episodes per month plus full video episodes over on Patreon: patreon.com/thefirstdegree 📸 Instagram: instagram.com/thefirstdegree 🕺 TikTok: tiktok.com/@thefirstdegreee 👤 Facebook: facebook.com/thefirstdegree   Learn more about your ad choices.
