Episode #2: What Successful Communicators Do In The Boardroom And Bedroom
About this episode
In this solo episode, I discuss how the most successful business owners, executives and team players listen more than they speak. These folks do not have the need to be the centre of attention. Instead, they become curious and inquisitive when speaking to their business or intimate partner. They are more interested in you than in themselves and their prerogatives.
This is, of course, true in personal relationships. John Gottman, a well-known psychologist specializing in interpersonal relationships, often examined how conflict was resolved during political discussions during times of war, hoping to help his clients work through marital relationships. Great leaders listen more than they speak to influence their speaking partner.
That’s the secret sauce.
