About this episode
We are glad to welcome back a long-time friend of the show, Doug Reynolds. Doug is the founder and CEO of LowCarbUSA which he established in 2016 in order to promote education and information exchange about the low carb/ketogenic diet. His organization offers live conferences, educational videos, articles and papers, and more. He coordinated the establishment of an advisory committee to oversee, create, and maintain the 'Clinical Guidelines for Therapeutic Carbohydrate Restriction' which was first published in May, 2019.
Today, he has joined us to share some information regarding his latest venture, the establishment of the non-profit organization, the 'Society of Metabolic Health Practitioners.' The goal of this organization is to provide education for doctors and practitioners. Furthermore, the purpose of the organization is to reach those outside of the low carb community who may not know about low carb or are skeptical about its merits.
