Episode 125: Sound sleep and secure attachment
About this episode
In this episode of The Aware Parenting Podcast, I talk about sleep from an Aware Parenting perspective. This incudes why Aware Parenting is the third way with sleep, the three things needed for sound sleep, and why it's important to understand the difference between true relaxation and dissociation when looking at sleep. I also explain why concepts such as 'overtired', 'fighting sleep', 'sleep windows' and 'sleep regression' don't exist in Aware Parenting. I share about my own experience of sleep in my family and about the myth that early parenthood always not getting much sleep for years!
I'm going to be making a new course on sleep, writing a book and creating a workshop, so keep an eye out on my social media and email list if you want to find out more about those. The existing course is very glitchy at the moment!
