And this is your annihilation announcement, asylum edition. Dear listeners, in the year of our Lord, whenever you are choosing to listen to this program, it is widely accepted that there are more human beings on the planet than there were in the 1950s and 1960s. And of course, even more so than that in the 1800s. However, the commitment to pursuing medical mental health assistance is depleting. It is dying like the absolute final performance of a fading star. It is a symbol of the past. It appears to be that these particular places are no longer facilities to where people are able to go and attempt to seek mental rehabilitation despite
the fact that a very significantly high percentage of the American insane asylums and the European asylums to an extent which we will get into operated like real life, 1800s and 1900s fallout vaults, sinister places, all mocked for experiments where people would be tortured, tormented, and absolutely terrified of the absolute terror that they experienced on a daily, weekly, monthly, yearly basis. Today, we are going on a special trip, dear listeners. Yes, we are continuing our travel of the program and continuing to move forward in a way that most dare not. This has been your news anchor, the choir chaos, and this is your annihilation announcement. Welcome, welcome, welcome in my wonderful, good morning, good morning, and good night.
Is your Icelander, your show player, your journey, your express, and this do charik, commit, mir, tine, clerical, chaos. And on today's episode, dear listeners, we take you on a journey across America from Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana, all the way east to Morningside Heights, New York City in 1821. Four dealers knows this is where the detail of the Bloomingdale insane asylum takes place. It is widely known that in 1821 the Bloomingdale insane asylum was opened with the sole intention to rehabilitate those in whom had been declared insane, irredeemable, irreconcilable, and
absolutely uncontrollable by society. Understand that the overall moral compass of the administration of the Bloomingdale insane asylum in Morningside Heights was to provide families with peace of mind, knowing wholly and completely that their family member was in safe hands of the administration of the Bloomingdale insane asylum. It is noted that during this time there were a litany of insane asylum operating within the state of New York, around Brentwood, New York, Pilgrims, Psychiatric Center, and we also take into account, of course, the absolutely famous subsidiary in Upper Manhattan, the Institute of which very few lived to tell the tale. We take Bloomingdale insane asylum at
face value, and we understand exactly what it is to really suffer when you are already going through the slings and the arrows of the mired beast that is known as insanity, as mental deprivation, as pure horror of the hallucinations and of the loss of control that your mind is now experiencing. We take into account an 1821 that medical practices in this respect were experimental at best rudimentary at worst. There were absolutely no defining factors. There were no standards and practices by which these doctors, by which these nurses, by which these administrators quote unquote cared for their patients. Absolutely not. Dear listener, for it is noted that it took 51
years to expose the unsavory practices that were put forth by morning side heights, and the absolute abomination at the time that was Bloomingdale, you take into consideration your modern stories of fiction like your silent hills, like your resident evils, like your evil within to a certain extent. One could also argue that Cyberpunk 2077 could also be included in their in addition to some of the crazier components of the grand theft auto series. Man Hunt is obviously also another way to look at it from that perspective. Look at the history and of the horror of these beautiful majestic buildings. Specifically, Bloomingdale and St. Asylum was built in beautiful
pristine land in Upper Manhattan, New York, that to which is now situated and occupied by denizens, students, faculty, and administration of Columbia University. But between 1821 and 1994, before was exposed, the hospital itself had shut down in 1880, but there were remnants, subsidiaries, patients being sent off to other places all the way up until 1994, when it was widely assumed that the overall shutdown of the American insane asylum system was not only long since gone, but transferred to already overwhelmed physical hospitals in order to reduce cost and burden on the taxpayer in accordance with what was allegedly and officially provided at the time.
We also understand that through the times, the focus that students at Columbia University take time away from their studies, the very hallowed halls to which they occupy for their leisure time. Buele Hall, ladies and gentlemen, is one of the primary places where students to this day report ghost sightings, horrific haunting visions, sounds that cannot be explained. Wind, when there is absolutely no window open, and unexplained psychiatric and scientific phenomena that cannot be easily explained even by the most brilliant minds of one of the country's top universities. Overall, you take a look at Morningside, and you understand that it was a boilerplate
template for conspiracy, for controversy, for not caring for those when they were at their weakest, instead using them as guinea pigs in their role in the form of twisted experiments. This is the beginning of our trip across the country and around the world, not only to explore insane assilums and conspiracies, but to explore the very element of why conspiracies and corruption are so prevalent among the land. Thank you for listening today. Take care of yourselves, and each other. At the top of the list, dear listener, we promised you a list of our top five favorite carnival snacks. Yes, we are keeping with the ambiance, the aesthetic of old American old-timey memories. So without further ado, let us dive right in. Coming in at number
five, we have the ever so universal candied apple. Coming in at number four, we have the corn dog. Coming in at number three, we have the hamburger. Coming in at number two, we of course have the popcorn. And of course, dear listeners, coming in at number one, both the podcast's favorite and your hosts favorite blueberry cotton candy, or just cotton candy as a whole, but blueberry specifically is rather nice. Cotton candy is the best carnival snack of all time. Dear listener, what are your five favorite carnival snacks? Email us at the cheating death podcast at gmail.com. Today's joke has been brought to you by the cleric of chaos. What do you need to make a highway in your art studio? It is quite simple. You need a mile marker. Upon our trip to the asylum today,
it was determined that there may indeed still be unfinished business that has taken the world and New York by storm. Whether or not one agrees with the confines, with the curriculums, so to speak, and with the conditions of the historical aspects of American insane asylum, one thing is true across all of them that there are no easy answers for how and why these poor people were put to the absolute torture they were. But it is on us to not repeat the mistakes of history and we must move forward and we must fight for those around us. Take care of yourselves and each other. The cheating death podcast is brought to you by Noch Demley, the CRDVC cleric chaos. And what do you

and dear listener. We mentioned this at the end of every episode, so we understand it is a bit repetitive, but you are a shouting star. The resilience of the human spirit and the vessel is unmatched by many organisms in nature and you would be surprised at the dichotomy between how fragile and how strong we are. Remember, we're pulling for you. We're all in this together.
