Episode 112: The Performing Body versus the Objectified Body
About this episode
In this episode, I talk about the friction we often feel between our performing body (what our body can do) versus the objectified body (how our body looks). Like you, most of the women I work with have focused on how their body looks. As a result, it has negatively impacted their physical performance and health.
I believe to get stronger and build a body you love you need to focus on your performing body - how well it functions, how heavy you can lift, how mobile you are, and how well you can recover. AND as a by-product, your physical appearance can change.
Let me ask you... don't you wanna be in a body that carries you through your life on your own terms? Well, if you do, you need to focus on performance!
