She is a first generation Columbian-American poet, artist and author who graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and was a finalist for the Academy of American Poets Prize. In this memoir, she shares her families journey from dealing with the diagnosis of epilepsy of her young child, to the trials and tribulations of navigating the traditional healthcare system, to ultimately seeking guidance from alternative medicine practitioners.
