當我們想到主耶穌再來、要在祂面前交帳時，我們通常想到的是個人得到了什麼獎賞或冠冕。但保羅卻對帖撒羅尼迦的聖徒這樣說：「我們主耶穌來臨的時候，我們在祂面前的盼望、喜樂、或所誇的冠冕是什麼？不就是你們嗎？因為你們就是我們的榮耀，我們的喜樂！」（二19-20）
原來，我們所照顧、所愛、所擺上的對象，就是我們最終在主面前最榮耀的賞賜！
