Ep31 - The Torrey Pines Beach Murders
About this episode
Two teenage girls are found murdered on the same beach 6 years apart. Barbara Nantais is murdered in 1978 and Claire Hough is murdered in 1984. The specifics of the murders are very similar but police can't connect the two and can't find a viable suspect for either crime. It would not be until many years later when advancements in DNA technology would help shed some light on these mysterious murders. But what does the DNA actually tell investigators about who committed these murders?
Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the facts of these tragic and mysterious murders. What events led up to each of these murders? Who were the suspects at the time and who would later become suspects as DNA technology reaches back into the past to look at old clues? And when it's all analyzed what do we really learn?
