這是我一直想講的故事，很少書籍寫到這個女人的傳奇，她是蕭燕燕，她的傳奇並沒有比武則天不精彩，只是，身為少數民族，歷史記載有限。
對我而言，蕭太后的故事，本來是我去唸歷史博士的一個開端，雖然我後來並沒有選擇念遼史，因我肯定畢不了業。不過，很高興琢磨多年之後，能夠把她的故事說出來。
