About this episode
24-year-old Arpana Jinaga had come to the United States from India to pursue her dreams. She had a great job as a software engineer and was going to school to get her graduate degree. She was driven and volunteered her time at numerous organizations. On Halloween night in 2008, Arpana's apartment complex had a party where residents went from unit to unit celebrating throughout the night. Sometime early the next morning, Arpana was brutally murdered and sexually assaulted in her apartment.
Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the circumstances surrounding Arpana Jinaga's death. The crime scene was bizarre. Her killer or killers had attempted to wipe away traces of DNA with different types of chemicals. But, they were unsuccessful and it was DNA that led police to two men who they believed played a role in Arpana's death. Listen to find out why, with so much DNA evidence, Arpana's murder remains unsolved.
