Ep106 - Lauren Spierer

Lauren Spierer was a 20-year-old student at Indiana University when she disappeared in 2011. Lauren went out that night with some of her male friends and police were able to find video surveillance footage from a number of sources to document where she went that night and into the next morning. Then all of sudden she was gone and was never heard from again. Early suspicion fell on some of the men that were with Lauren that night. Her family, especially, has questions for these men that have not been answered. But the men have cooperated with police. Then, in 2015, another IU student, Hannah Wilson, went missing and was later found dead. Police quickly caught her killer, a man named Daniel Messel. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss Lauren's disappearance as well as Hannah's murder. We know what happened to Hannah, but could Daniel Messel be involved in Lauren's disappearance as well. Some interesting things have come out about Messel targeting IU students who were intoxicated. Was Lauren the victim of a stranger abduction or was she harmed by those that she considered friends?
