we're ready Phil you're also think of one bourbon one shot one beer yes we're ready buddy hope he's right what it is two bourbon that's those are airy church leaves but that is their one bourbon one scotch one beer all right for take your way you don't ramble I was waiting for you moe whoa welcome to meet our trivia the r-rated version from Randall the big h-r's here you son of a f***ing it's not me swearing kids it's that one over there uh this is the only game show where conservation we're not redoing nope let's stand in all right tighten it up Randall oh jeez man I'm your host Brody Henderson and I'm joined today by Janis Patela Spencer new her potty mouth Randall Williams Alyssa Smith Seth Morris and Corey callkins so 10 round quisha with questions from medias for verticals kind of usually sort of which are hunting fishing conservation and cooking I don't think I have a cooking con that's not good for me there's a prize
meat eater will donate 500 bucks to the conservation organization of the winners choosing IFAQ I didn't have any because I like put this script together like 30 minutes ago so Spencer sent me one and uh Janis our listeners are dying to know if you sold your beloved six five six five sweet six five five sweet that's right I sure did you did oh yeah thanks to this year podcast oh yeah a couple people wrote in and the second guy that wrote in was one person too late one email too late really and uh yeah there's real uh easy transaction he said what do you want for I told him how much I paid for it how much I needed to get out of it and he's like all right sounds good I sent it off to pencil being just out with the optics or no I did it had a you know nothing fancy of a scope on it and just left it on there and gave it to the guy kind of freebie nice it's great if mediator radio wasn't dying this week I was gonna pitch a segment someday
that just be the classifieds like so and so has a boat oh dude I got all kind of stuff I need to sell can we do that anyway yeah on the news show maybe the news show will have classifieds and like so and so in Maine needs a hunting partner for duck season uh we're gonna solve some stuff you need a sweet bear rug yeah call the boys at the the mediator flagship store they're selling wonder what selling mine oh one of mine in the store you only need one which I found out after I had two oh how much you asking I'm not we're not gonna sprays here it's perfect for your second home in Montana yeah all right before we get on to the questions like I said I just finished this script about 30 40 minutes ago so I don't have a like a carry index but I do have a stat of the week related to that which is when Spencer hosts the average player gets 5.05 questions right when there's a
guest host like myself average person gets 4.04 questions right so a whole point let's when there's a guest host so it's it's probably gonna be hard so just like bite the bullet suck it up but this is also really hastily prepared well we'll see I don't know that you try to pitch easier questions knowing that we usually as guest hosts no no I'm not gonna like just set you up with a bunch of like soft balls no I know but it's no fun if it's super hard for everybody so I try to be in somewhere in between but yeah obviously we all still end up pitching too hard yeah well I mean I think you didn't think about that just got to learn more I guess it's a tough match but yeah it's weird this is a weird part you say the average player but what's that mean it should be like the average number of questions average that are correct correct it's the same thing yeah so that's
5.05 correct I know I think it should be the average of the top three players yeah it'd be it'd be higher I bet yeah probably a question higher it might be different maybe maybe they get more answers correct we guess we'll have more stats next time there's a guest host to show you guys at a um all right play the drop Phil oh oh sounds so excited Brody I normally Spencer gives me some runway no I'm not feeling just totally blindsided I like my goal is not to like host like Spencer beyond your toes hey mom suckers that's you bro I can't hear is it over yet here we go I hate this trend that Steve has started he's he's gotten everyone to mutiny
with against the headphones there's sometimes there's more on my entire headphone now listen when we're doing this headphones I can't wear headphones on Steve's in here because he's just he's just in the mic talking the whole time I can't thank anyone go ahead Brody you keep them on Seth you do what makes you feel good about yourself all right first question is conservation according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics this state has the most fish and game wardens is it a Pennsylvania B Washington C Texas or D Florida that is a great question which state has the most fish and game wardens Pennsylvania Washington Texas or Florida you know you wrote an answer down right away it's unlike you well I just had a gut
gut feeling got to go with it got nowhere in the lucky caniam hat too that might might give you some extra powers bear start thinking where I'm going to donate my winnings everyone got an answer yeah all right flip them over we got honest with Pennsylvania Seth Pennsylvania Randall Texas Cory Texas Alyssa Texas Spencer Florida makes back you have a correct answer yep Spencer it's Florida it's happening again on a bike according to the latest Bureau of Labor Statistics data from May 2023 the states with the highest employment levels for fishing game warns are Florida was 7 to 800 officers Texas 480 to 500 officers New York 390 to 400 Tennessee which is kind of a surprise 350 to 370 North Carolina 370 and California 300 to 350
so what are one and two what are the numbers Florida and Texas Florida 7 to 800 Texas around 500 all right I think you guys in Pennsylvania you got to take into concern all that coastline yeah I got a patrol Texas got some coastline too yeah they do they do they had a lot of land 200 fewer game wardens yeah small government all right Spencer got it right it wasn't that hard it's almost like Spencer knew that question okay question number two ecology oh oh name two of the only four states east of the Mississippi River with Alpine Tundra environment I like this question too did you write this sure did Alpine Tundra there are four states east of the Mississippi that have Alpine Tundra name two of them
Cory Struggles with geography outside of Montana this is true really anywhere east of here I will admit we can never have a map in the meaty to trivia studio because Cory asks for it every time yep there's geography involved Alyssa how you feeling about your answer I don't know anyone feeling good this is a great question Brody I'm jealous I didn't think of this thank you hold on hold on but you got time you honest take your time to take your time hmm oh I keep going back and forth geez what fly I think are we ready is anyone need a stall for time no okay flip them over Yannis says Vermont in New York set the West Virginia and Virginia Randall Maine and New Hampshire Cory Maine and Michigan Alyssa Maine and Vermont Spencer New Hampshire and Vermont we had
some correct answers the four states are New York New Hampshire Vermont and Minnesota do you need I'm not Minnesota man yeah yeah oh geez dang oh my man I'm gonna say Mt. Katata Phil do you need people who would say that raise their hands if they go because I think when when nice I saw that you put Minnesota and I was like I'm not sure that's correct I just had the wrong yeah I got it I think I think I got the right ones okay all right I think Yannis Randall listen Spencer I got to control my my heart rate now here's a little little flavor text um New Hampshire house the largest amount of Alpine Tundra in the northeastern US particularly on Mt. Washington and the surrounding summits in the presidential rain Maine contains significant Alpine Tundra on Mt. Katadin New York features small isolated patches of Alpine Tundra limited exclusively to the highest peaks of the Adirondack mountains not Marcy and sorry well I'm just trying to read man
contains Vermont contains the smallest amount of the four was less than 125 acres of Alpine Tundra remaining these fragile sky island ecosystems are remnants of the last ice age often found above 4,000 feet in elevation hmm cool I just saw some Instagram it must be BS because there was I saw things said like in Shenandoah which is isn't that Virginia yeah that there's uh some of the same Alpine Tundra is in Alaska really yeah I don't think so hmm that's why that's why Instagram yeah okay yeah only internet we can double check it but I'm pretty sure this is a good question could totally be wrong oh yeah this stuff's under um this environment's under a lot of pressure right now it's shrinking not doing well so they need to preserve it moving on you guys don't seem too concerned about the Alpine Tundra I was told to
shut up so well you know it is a little difficult reading when someone interrupts you in the middle of a question sometimes you know we do that to Spencer so I'll let it slide just give any more flavor text I know I thought you're gonna ask I thought you're gonna ask I have something about Mount Marci later if we get to a question three and we get to it that's why I didn't want to acknowledge what they said anyway yeah where's that doesn't matter from on one of those yeah your hamper yeah main okay geez this is one of your next questions about ornithology oh geez never had that is a category what are sage and sharp-tailed grouse breeding areas called that time of year that time of year where we're getting to to the show
I'm excited to go and see some I love to reading I love to know a couple of spots mm-hmm same look at some of those feathery kick balls out on the prairie they do their little little thing yeah the sharp tails get real crazy pretty much like watching and jerky's yeah same thing everyone ready yes sir all right blip him over let let let let dance floor nothing dance floor okay let is the correct answer the term comes from the Swedish word let imagine that which refers to child's play or a game it describes the communal mating ritual where male grouse gather in open areas to perform energetic strutting and dancing displays to impress the females how do you spell lick le k the grouse call it a dance floor yeah
how best should they do we should we should have had a video with a little dance accompanying if we'd had more time to prepare I didn't ask Brody to host this episode one business day ago so Brody Brody is just doing me a big favor here yeah this is a killer batch of questions you guys have been spending so much time preparing for that last episode of radio live it's time to do anything else all right number four fishing I have a feeling this one's going to cause some some trouble so it's not it's not going to have anything to do with some people might not like it I don't know but I like it okay it's actually fishing in cooking even a little bit okay so I do have a cookery question so there you go okay the question is fly fishermen use this pantry item to prevent the guides on their rods from icing up
huh do they know Seth knows this I don't know if the fly fisherman use it but you know notice that how in Montana the five fishing guides don't work in the winter really I know it's like it's like it just stops oh yeah give him a break they all go to they all go go like up on Missouri or over on the spring you gotta go river never worked at myself you know DIY if you will live man in some ways I liked winter guide and better than the summer stuff more hardcore and you have this random this chill thanks so do you Spencer no I mean I you guys can chit chat for more time fly fishermen use this pantry item to prevent the guides on their rods from icing up hmm I mean I saw a guy doing a stealer day really she hopefully it's same pantry item that you have how did you know he had this pantry item that he was doing putting
and he's putting it on his guide did he have let's not get into that container that said the brand oh wait for bro yeah everyone ready okay no go ahead you got time and throw some time throw something down there I don't know Seth made me less confident yeah you both I can't picture seeing someone do this flip them over knowing that they were doing this Chris go says says Chris go says says Pam Randall says Pam Corey says oil what are they listen says Pam Spencer says olive oil you had some people get it right it's Pam cooking spray oh I use Chris go which is what all it's yet spray olive oil it's not olive oil it's not motor oil it's not like the motor oil gear oil in your pantry what kind of oil not we're not giving it to you but what about me I had a
pantry item that you put on your guides I've never heard of anyone using Chris go how about Earl that word if you can find something that says Chris go I'll consider the fisherman in the room I believe it yeah people use chapstick which is an oil that sounds like a real green in the I think Pam is like the faint the thing that's famous for yeah there's spray it on so you saw somebody out there with a yellow and red can spray and then spray it up yep the whole length of the rod are just like the end now you hit the guide yeah just the guides fly fishermen use I'm obviously other fishermen to use Pam cooking spray primarily as an anti icing agent to prevent ice build up on rod guides or eyelets during cold weather fishing budget friendly alternative to specialized lubricants use keep fly line slick also and in some
case to add scent to lures or baits I'm giving myself a point since this isn't a real episode what's not real about it like you're just not getting them right so it's not real sounds like a real episode to me woohoo here comes another fish and question two and a row yeah we're ready for this one's cooking uh yes yes we are give me a pull pull it up now oh okay visual yes what two word term describes a circular swimming motion of schools of tarp and shown here oh that's not the right move oh man let's say what's ready to question again what two word term describes the circular swimming motion of schools of tarp and shown here two words two words hmm just to get real excited when I saw this hmm I've actually never seen it school you can get pretty close to them when they're doing
question more one more time what two word term describes a circular swimming motion of schools of tarp and shown here two words to describe what you're looking at looks like that one just gulp some air there hmm mark can and I are going to go and maybe get into a little bit of this and get's coming up on that time of year usually little fly poles oh yeah oh dude throw live crab in there and have fun well we might do that too but I've yet to catch one off why so I'd like to do that just break it all just instantly break it all everyone got two words to lip them over yana says daisy chain says fish twister sandworm crazy cast here death pool tarp and tornado we have a correct answer hmm yeah question ask when someone in the room has been planning a tarp and trip
what was the answer daisy chain hmm groups ranging from a few to hundreds of tarp and gather and daisy chains during the spring and summer migration period is often considered a pre spawn ritual the juvenile tarp and also gather and daisy chains suggesting it may also serve as a defense mechanism against predators while daisy chaining makes the fish easy to locate they often ignore baits while they're in a daisy chain daisy chain also a sound engineer thing right Phil isn't that like when you connect a speaker to a speaker oh sure yeah yeah when yeah a bunch of cables are all connected together sure Phil yes bro we got a scoreboard update yeah it is half time and here we have four e-calkins with zero points in the last place we've got a it's a close game after that Seth Alyssa and Spencer have two points of peace and a tie to five aim first place with three points are both Yannis Patelis and Dr Randall Williams but no more questions related
to things that people are actively researching how would I know what he's doing because he's on the phone all day talking about tarp and fishing yeah I get here I've heard him talking about a lot of hunting but not tarp and nutrition why you know where your headphones look for tarp and why yeah what the hell are you doing Phil Hunter Spencer is slacking me about a podcast thumbnail so I apologize it's gonna close like a hot here yeah go down there and catch your fish obviously and talk conservation um it's going on in the keys right now you're gonna eat them not gonna eat any tarp and but the plan is to fish flats two days and then go do some meat hauling on third day so that takes two of you to go down there and fish for tarp and and talk tarp and conservation oh yeah well maybe three of us well the third is going to be Max Bartlett okay one person at one person two seems like are you hitting up our buddy Nick or no no we're in fish with Jake our buddy Jake where's he it where's he at big pine Key West nice that'll be fun
tough assignment that'll be fun yeah it is a tough assignment Randall I mean obviously you know you're more qualified than he is to go but you know he's got to learn something that's true that's true yeah just remember to bring the Pam said you were asking about eating them I think they used to grind tarp and up in the cat food but I don't think people ever really were in to eat them too much hmm um grind a little tidbit for you huh nothing keep going okay next question number six conservation he is outdoorsman we always spend a lot of time thinking about how we interact with the land how we care for the land but then yard care like your lawn care defaults to chemical heavy routines the tree every yard the same well Sunday offers a different model they begin by understanding your soil and local climate then build a customized yard plan designed specifically for your environment their products

the blank zone describes the area of Colorado and Wyoming where chronic wasting disease was first documented and mule deer and out the seven letter seven letter word hmm I have another seven letter word that I'd like to use is it it's one word yeah just one word okay is lab leak one word hashtag lab leak is one word is that conspiracy theory no oh this one's struggling people are struggling with this one seven letter word to describe the zone where CWD was first documented everyone got an answer no no gosh not even close Brody did you know this before you found this out for a question I think you'll you think I'll know I think you should know it's in there right Randall I don't know
kind of thing you should know I don't know does Randall know depends if I get it right or not I think he only lived in Colorado therefore he should know it I get yet there's a certain vibe Randall throws off when he's got the right answer no I truly don't know this I've got a seven letter word that I think is a strong contender oh he knows it I don't know it truly all right hold on get your answers in there flip them over oh boy we might have a zero percenter okay we do the answer is the endemic zone oh the chronic chronic wasting disease endemic zone in Colorado and Wyoming is the original contiguous focal point of the disease in North America CWD was initially identified
1967 as a mysterious wasting syndrome causing captive mule there to lose weight and die at a research facility near Fort Collins Colorado researchers later later confirmed it was a pre on disease or transmission transmissible spongiform and cephalopathy TSE in 1978 well there you go the endemic zone hmm not more people can get the answer though Genesis yeah that was cool I thought you had it man I thought you had it okay moving on number seven categories hunting what common species of dabbler duck is also known as a gray duck oh Cory just like not happy like dude I got other stuff I could be doing you want to get a huddle call with reef on hunter yeah I could probably do better at that oh gray duck oh there's a lot of them a lot of gray ducks
it's a dabbler you know I see you're a so-called waterfowler come on am I yeah I think you're the only one in this room was filmed waterfowl hunts always as a beginner that's true mm-hmm good about my answer what common species of dabbler duck is also known as a gray duck yeah okay flip them over brody's oh yeah I think you guys you know it says witch and Seth Gadwall Randall Gadwall Cory Mexican teal Lista Mallard Spencer Eiter the answer is Gadwall oh the primary nickname for
and brother is gray duck referencing their modeled gray brown appearing appearance couple other nicknames form are Texas Mallard a regional name sometimes used because they're common in Texas wintering grounds and also I've never heard this pirate of the lakes derived from their behavior of stealing food from other birds yeah yeah I'm a shadow I've shot a Gadwall or two I think they get confused with hen mallards a lot look quite similar okay question number eight wildlife this is also our listener question of the week from Brian Parks this goes back to like the last time I hosted when I did all listener questions and this isn't this one I didn't get to um so Brian asks what African animal is the closest living relative to the pronghorn antelope
listener question in the week what African animal is the closest living relative to the pronghorn antelope pan brother Gadwall brother oh Seth was just in you might have learned this on your recent trip across the pond Seth I don't think it was brought up no I was brought up there it's just a good solid trivia question I honestly could be wrong but I think I'm right well far now we'll see you still throwing up a blank no I got an African animal written down no I mean have you gotten a question right nope it's zero buddy cool let's keep it going I'd love to break the ice here buddy oh he just showed it to Yannis and he looked I saw his eyes move you guys should chat a little while Yannis talks really put the pressure on him yeah I'll give you a hint yeah it lives in Africa haha be careful with those hints the closest really living relative one of these was recently killed
with a hot rod six millimeter cartridge a Swedish cartridge nope hot rod hmm got an answer that ensure do there's going to be 10 people that are going to enjoy that reference nah Yannis says in Paula Seth says giraffe Randall giraffe Cory gazelle listen to you uh Spencer giraffe the correct answer is giraffe giraffe brother prongorn are the last remaining member of the family and tillow capparday with their closest living relatives being giraffes molecular studies and genetic evidence confirm the prongorn's closest living relatives are giraffes while they share a common ancestor prongorns evolved independently in North America for millions of years like giraffe which have ossicones prongorns possess specialized bony hair covered structures
though prongorns usually shed their outer horn she's annually ossicones that's a word I did not know cool me there you go giraffe that's a wild animal she's a wild weird animal love looking at the random might be running away do we do a scoreboard update that now Phil after question eight questions usually yeah we usually do let's take a look at that sucker again as previously confirmed Cory is still uh representing uh with a big lead brother working on it a list is up next with two points Yannis and Spencer are tied up with three Seth Morris has four and in first place with five points is Randall not Marcy has to come up at some point I hope so no he said only if we need to so it'll be a tie breaker I used to own a t-shirt with it printed on it okay Seth everyone's rooting for more scouts of
America what happened to that shit I don't fit it anymore but one of the best one of the photos in which I look the handsomeist in my life he's taken wearing a shirt well what hey that was a phase of my life uh about twenty two oh yeah he can't some this at twenty oh man yeah nah you're there now no I'm just letting us go on for a while I'm just chewing up some clock here bro yeah uh I'd like to see that the category for question nine is history so Randall's getting all excited no no but I don't think he'll be I didn't think you'd throw me a bone Brody name the company that made the legendary bush float planes the beaver and the otter should have gone not history I couldn't figure out what category air travel year I don't know I mean if you got aeronautics no history I like history there's a you'll you'll get some
history we're all ready no wow Brody's ripping three yeah you are I'm doing my best to slow it down he wants to play instead of hope so how are we doing on time for the next uh spending one of these two in a second actually who's been in one of these here who's been in both these planes I think I've been in both hmm I don't think I've been in the old otter pitotter no I've got some stories that curl your hair a little turbo hot dog guy you talking about the hot dog guy no no no you mean the guy out of Prince of Wales does the hot dog no what's the hot dog he liked to show off like flero like a literal hot dog no but that would be a good hot dog like yeah you're like the hot dog guys like this guy doesn't say he was just like hot dogging in the airplane where there's a different reason you called the hot dog no because he was hot unnecessary hot
dogging in the plane okay you know that there's old pilots and there's bold pilots but there's no bold old pilots what I say is there are old mushroom hunters and there are bold mushroom hunters there are no old bold mushroom hunters there are old handloaders and there are bold handloaders so there are some old bold handloaders all right now you do one set I don't have one ice fishermen yeah no there's a lot of old bold ice fishermen said actually but they don't have all today I thought you might be a little distracted considering what's about to happen soon to you oh man I've been telling about feeling good about yeah so that's gonna be a daddy in case you listen to that song yet I did yes good yeah okay okay name the company that made the legendary bushflow planes the beaver and the otter flip them over if you got an answer you honest to have a lens set to have a lens randal to have a lens
Boeing C-Cat Air Cub the name the company is to have a land aircraft company the have a land aircraft company was founded by Sir Jeffrey to have a land in September 1920 the pioneering British aerospace manufacturer was responsible for integrate innovative aircraft designs like the Moss series the World War II mosquito and the world's first jet airliner the comet but hunters and anglers particularly in Alaska and Canada are more familiar with the various models of beavers and the larger otters often uses float planes the otter and beaver can also be outfitted with skis and wheels making them the most reliable and popular bushplanes ever built the production on the otter and the beaver ended in 1967 many of these aircraft are well over seven years old and still flying today right brother set it was right there for you yep yep oh yeah it's real interesting when you get one of the
different now though because they'll have like an apple I pad like retrofitted into the all these like manual old controls I love flying in those things man they're fun yep there's always there's always a lot of this yep then there's always a lot of this yep what do they do it up here uh no it's like rudder yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah battling around um all right is it over yeah no no no no that could catch him if you want another score board because it's interesting woo that's within all I guess Cory has zero Elisa has two Spencer has three Yannes has four or Seth has five Randall has six. I guess I had to do a two, three, four, five, six. Of course, you could get one. If you had one, you could get all the rest of mom. I've got to do a correct answer of you, I guess. Number one was Florida. Number two, New York, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine.
Number three was Lack. Number four was Pam Cooking spray. Oil. Number five was Daisy Chain. Number six was the endemic zone. Number seven was Gadmull. Gadmull, yeah. Eight was giraffe. Nine was the havelant. Can we count oil? No, don't do it. I don't need any help over here. It's just trying to. I'm trying. Charity. I mean, if, of course, you really like needs that to boost himself up. No, we always got, we always want to see a scoreboard to be one, two, three, four, five, six. What kind of oil does Pam spray? I think it's canola. Oh, yes. Yeah. It's oil. Seed oil. I'm. Okay. Here we go. Last question. If you want to say cooking spray and not Pam, I would have given it to you. Oh, yeah. If you just said cooking spray, I did not. Yeah. Oh, it's all oil. I mean, you could rub oil on that.
He's not going to give me a crisco, which is. No. I'm sorry for bringing this up again. Let's try to be nice, but now it's getting annoying. Yeah. There's too many oils, like gear oil, crude oil, and fine oil. Yes. You might. No oil. Snake. Yeah. Here's the barrel oil. Yeah. Any oils on? Okay. Last question. We're done debating this. The question is again, fishing. Last question. Fishing. Since since I always get a number 10 fishing question, this, hmm? Okay. Ready, Bill? Name the two states that lay claim to the world record small mouth bass. Ooh. Both states? Yeah. That's kind of an old point. Wow. Braindle has an answer. I don't like that in one bit that you know this. Two states. Well, I will tell you this, this was discussed in detail
on media to podcast. Oh, that's why you know this. No, I know it because I know where this lake is. This lake? Oh, I don't know. He just gave a hint, but it's not a big enough hint that I'm going to like. Lake or river? We do the question. I know where this, or this reservoir. Hmm. Body of water. It's pond. It's world record on there. Name the two states that lay claim to the world record small mouth bass. I know the lake, but I don't know the two states. Are they close to one another? What? The states? Be weird if they weren't. Well, I mean, it could be tied between two states. Yeah. That's true. I mean, maybe I don't. Yes, they are. Maybe I don't know this. I'll give you a clue. Hmm. They are. I imagine they're bordering each other. I've been to this lake. Catching small mouth there? What were you doing there? I think we were mountain biking and boy scouts. Mountain biking in the lake?
No. God. Boy scouts. They fill that chain. Boy's up and over there. Boy's up and over there. It means you wouldn't have been living in a five. Yeah, this is a very, this is a very. Oh, okay, Seth. This is a very nostalgic round of trivia for me. It's kind of a hint that Randall's telling you this, too. We traveled. I mean, we went to Montana. We went to Canada. I'm just trying to get them to think about that. We went to New York. What other states? We went all over the place. Everyone had some big small mouth states. I got it. Come on. High, high adventure. You're the only bass man. I feel like I can tell you the lyrics. I don't keep track of records. Although that's a good record. Come out of Tennessee here. It looks like. Oh. Large mouth. Large mouth. Large mouth. What? Oh, just for the like the state record. State record. Yeah. But we're tucking bronze backs, baby. There's a 15 pound 15.75 pound large mouth. Small jaws. You say 15 pound large mouth. 15, three quarter.
Oh, mutant. OK. If you don't got an answer, you're going to need to come on one real soon. Pick two states that have big bass. Big. Come on. What? What'd you pick? They're near each other. Oh, they are? Yeah. He told you that. Here you go. Pick one that borders that state. You making Randall too comfortable over there. I mean, I got a game from PA. You ought to know that. We're good. We're good. We're good. All right. Flip them over. Minnesota and Wisconsin. Vermont, New York, Kentucky and Tennessee. Michigan, Wisconsin. Tennessee, Kentucky. Wow. They all have Tennessee, Kentucky. Where three people get it? Right. Kentucky and Tennessee. Oh, wow. Oh, I got that right. Yeah. Right. Nice. Yeah. Okay. On July 9, 1955, David Lee Hayes caught an 11 pound 15 ounce mama fast 27 inches long, trolling
a bomber plug and Dale Hollow Lake, which straddles the Tennessee, Kentucky border. That record was challenged by allegations of tampering in the in the 1990s in the record was rescinded. Hmm. But eventually those allegations were proven false. The world record was reinstated, which stands to this day. The fish was caught in Kentucky waters, but weighed and measured in Tennessee. So both states lay claim to the record. I don't remember what the controversy was. What do you mean the other lake? One was Dale Hollow. What was the other lake? It's the same lake. The same lake. Borders. Yeah. It was on one side. I don't understand. There's something about maybe like spark plugs in the belly of the bell. Oh, yeah. There's like this disgruntled employee at this marina who like made allegations of tampering like stuff in the fish with weights or something like that. And it all it all came out that that guy was just like talking shit in the record stands
to this day. So there you go. Looks like Randall is our winner with seven questions. Randall. Good job, Randall. Good. How you feeling about that victory, Randall? It's good. It's a good start to the new season of meaty to trivia after a heartily disappointing season five now. Yeah, season five. Whoa. Yeah. This is the season opener. I'm going to retire soon. Yeah. Randall, who's the money gone to? Let's send this money to the Coastal Conservation Association. Tell us why you're sending it. Well, it's a group that works on fisheries issues. I believe specifically in the golf, but we do some work with them when I said TRCP. And then when we're on the live tour guide, I believe at the Dallas or Austin show who guides on the Texas Gulf Coast suggested it. And believe it or not, it's been so long since I've won a game of trivia that we're
just getting to it now. Yeah. Maybe Yannis will run into those guys on his tarp and fish. I mean, I tell him I say hi. I will. That was all the way back in 2025, Randall. I know. God. Goodness gracious young man. Then I've got, I'll be honest. It's very flattering when people send me donation requests. But at this point, I am, I've drowned and then settled into the bottom of the lake and sediment has landed on top of me. I'm becoming a foster. Very close to fossilization. Okay. Before we go. We're going to do a bonus question because everyone was wondering about the Mount Marcy thing. Yeah. Okay. We're going to pretend that Seth and Randall tied. Mm-hmm. To tie. What is the elevation of New York's highest peak Mount Marcy? Good Lord. That is going to be quick. Right? It's crazy that you said that earlier, Randall. And now you have on your, on your shirt, yeah, but I haven't fit that shirt, I haven't fit that shirt. I didn't prep the Mount Marcy because that was Brody's backup tie breaker, which I didn't
think was going to happen. We can, I'll give you the answer to that too. Oh, wow. Okay. We'll write down two answers. What's the elevation of New York's highest peak Mount Marcy? What was the one that was on it? Last year Lake Superior froze over. Oh, last year. The last. The last time. Oh, the year. The last time. Okay. So here's the Mount Marcy one. Fill through it all into just, I believe Mount Dix is also nearby, DIX. That one might have a ton of clothes, it might, it was a shirt with a list of like, oh, yeah, we are close. The 10 highs. Oh, whoa. Wait, you're not doing the, the year Superior now, oh, before I was going to say is either 49 or low 50s. I'm willing to bet that there's not one spot east of the Mississippi higher than any
answer except Randall. Hmm. Hmm. What's the answer? Oh, wait, wait. Actually, there is a spot. I think Randall is closest, right? Randall is closest. The answer is five, three, four, four. Hmm. Just over a mile. Yeah. And he got the tie break. Yeah. What's the last year Lake Superior froze over? 96. Oh, that was good year. Yeah. Hmm. Oh, dear. Thanks for listening. Yep. Well done, Rayl, dominate performance. Yeah, Spencer himself Dakota, he's the host. Using those smooth mellow tones, he lays them questions down. And he likes taking those two and three year old bucks and he's an avid amateur. He has outdoorsman. We always spend a lot of time thinking about how we interact with the land, how we care
for the land. But then yard care, like your lawn care, defaults to chemical heavy routines, the tree every yard is the same. Well, Sunday offers a different model. They begin by understanding your soil and local climate, then build a customized yard plan designed specifically for your environment. Their products rely on nutrient dense ingredients like seaweed, molasses and iron rather than harsh synthetic chemicals.
