吉翁‧里維是一名曾罹患黑色素瘤（皮膚癌）的患者，他成功透過免疫療法治好了疾病。
由於不是每個病人都對免疫療法有反應，吉翁‧里維算是運氣很好的。
於是在康復之後，醫生要求吉翁‧里維捐出大便，並製作成膠囊。
在以色列進行的一項臨床實驗中，有十位晚期黑色素瘤病人參加。
其中有三位反應時分良好，他們都服用了吉翁‧里維所捐贈的「便便」膠囊。
這種療法稱為「糞便微生物移植」。
