Ep. 73 - Timeless Wisdom For Diligent Leaders - Part 2 of 6
About this episode
Welcome to the second episode of our six part series focusing on the practical lessons to be learned from the wisdom of Paul in 1 Timothy in the New Testament. Jim Piper's commentary will guide you through the application of this biblical wisdom and help put it into context for today's leaders. If you are not a Christian don't be turned off by the Bible's use as "source material". Keep your mind and your heart open.
This episode of the Today Counts Show is based on 1 Timothy 2. In this second chapter Paul talks a lot about proper behavior for men and women. Jim focuses on the underlying theme of the proper use of power. This an important lesson for all leaders. If you are in a position of authority with power over others, whether that be in personal relationships or large organizations, don't abuse it. Use your power with thoughtfulness and right intentions. Be a diligent leader who leads by example not by intimidation!
