About this episode
Biggest fan, worst critic, helpful, harmful... That voice in our heads can take quite a few forms and I find myself in a constant battle to keep it constructive. Must it always be kind, constantly assuring you that you are enough no matter the circumstances? Softer types and more sensitive folks will agree. Must it be harsh and cruel, callusing yourself and preparing you for a world full of criticism and competitors? Plenty of billionaires, athletes, and high performers would say yes. I don't have an exact answer, though I know it lies somewhere in the middle of the two, or maybe that there is a time for both. In this episode I simply share with you my process and some of the reasons I talk to myself the way that I do.
