Ep. 71 - Vapor Ministries: Micah McElveen

About this episode

Send a text

The journey was on... that's how Jim's guest describes his life after a trip to Africa and a vision from God lead him to quit college and live in his car for 8 months while he started the non-profit organization that became Vapor Ministries.  As inspiring as that sounds, it doesn't come close to describing his whole life's journey.

Today Jim Piper has an in-depth conversation with Micah McElveen.  Micah is the founder and CEO of Vapor Ministries. On the show today he shares his faith, his passion for lifting some of the poorest people in the world out of poverty and his own near death experience that shaped the way he would come to view the world around him.  Jim and Micah also discuss leadership skills and what it takes to run a large organization and still take time to care for yourself and your family.  After 50 minutes or so of listening to Micah it still feels like this interview only scratches the surface of what there is to learn from Micah McElveen!

Micah has also written a book that tells his amazing life story.  The book is titled - Dying for Purpose.  It's available on Amazon.  You can learn more about Micah McElveen and his ministry at www.vaporministries.org or www.micahmcelveen.com.
