• [ ] Do not store pool chemicals in the garage or shed. Use an outdoor chemical storage chest.
• [ ] Rinse out chemical containers before disposing to avoid fire hazards.
• [ ] Do not put chlorine tabs directly in the skimmer.
• [ ] Do not add shock directly to the skimmer, especially with a chlorinator. Dissolve and pour it in.
• [ ] Know the size of your pool and dose chemicals accordingly, don't just guess.
• [ ] Be careful when replacing a pump motor - also replace the shaft seal.
• [ ] Do not overlubricate pump lids. Just a small amount to keep the O-ring pliable.
• [ ] Regularly inspect pool equipment and address any issues promptly.
• [ ] Pool service techs should not add water to the pool, that is the customer's responsibility.
