About this episode
Even in his early childhood Lance felt as if something was wrong with him. That feeling caused anxiety, depression and unease to accompany him. His first drink brought euphoria and disappointment when he couldn’t find a way to regain that feeling. In high school he came to the realization that he was gay and once again alcohol helped him cope with the emotions and struggles that accompanied that realization. Lance joins Annie Grace to discuss the ups and downs of a 20-year drinking career, what it’s like to quit drinking in the gay community, using alcohol and weed to self-medicate, and so many other topics that often come up for those in the LGBTQIA+ community.
