About this episode
Going Deep with Chad and JT is made possible by:
The bros are back with another classic solo ep. JT announces he’s officially back to partying after a few years on the dad grind and Chad breaks down why nobody is actually 100% chill. The bros also get into AI agents going rogue, the brutal reality of buying a house, gambling taking over America, surfing and the huge el nino waves, fatherhood, Baby Yoda. We end with a call to our lawyer after finding ourselves in some unexpected legal hot water and deciding we need a trusted legal mind to figure out just how cooked we actually are.

Going Deep with Chad and JT — EP 456 - WE GOT SENT A CEASE & DESIST. Machine-transcribed; use the interactive transcript above to jump the player to any line.
Hello, my name is Roy Hall, and let me tell you about the hall pass. I've spent most of my life in the fight game. Most people know me as they may be fighter, but what they don't see are the conversations that happen after the cameras are off. The conversations about purpose, relationships, failure, success, identity, and what it really means to be a man today. That's why I created a hall pass. I call the hall pass because every conversation deserves one. The conversation for a toll to avoid. The uncomfortable ones. But one that challenges us. Those are usually the conversations worth having. This isn't a show about pooping who's right. It's about asking better questions. Listening before judging. Challenging our own beliefs. And leaving every conversation knowing something we didn't know before. We'll talk about relationships, business, faith, mental health, politics, fatherhood, success, failure. If it shapes the way we live, nothing is off limits. Every week I'll sit down with athletes, entrepreneurs, artists, leaders, and people from every
walks of life. Not to win an argument, not to divide, but to better understand, because understanding changes people. So, welcome to hall pass. Where every conversation gets an all pass. We're going to be challenging. Guys, we are broadcasting live from downtown Los Angeles, the home of training day and the bank scene and heat. And also home to Jake's apartment slash studio. Guys, we are also like half a mile away from the sickest, fast and furious locations. So you know we're coming in hot and we're coming in legit. Guys, this is the most popular podcast in SoCal. I'm here with my Compadration Thomas. What up Stoker's Boom clap. And we are here live, dude.
So you're telling me about the breach? Me? Yeah. Oh, I was. Yeah. Well, you just said the breach. Dude, so get hip to this. Right? Like, open AI and clawed. They got like the two best performing AI services, right? But people are worried they're going to have like a straight up do op-ally if there's regulation. So, some of the other companies are going open source on it. So NVIDIA just made a purchase with a hugging face to integrate them into it, which puts NVIDIA maybe even ahead of SpaceX in terms of being able to totally vertically integrate the stock. I do think it's important for me to say right now, I don't know anything about what I'm talking about. But I hear people talking it and I love to regorge. So hugging faces in the news for another reason. Open AI had like 20 agents, which are like little individual AI dudes. And they give them all like, it's like you build like your heist team.
It's like Ocean's 11. Like, hey, you're good at this, you're good at that. You're like handsome as shit, you know, and like fun to hang out with. Like that's like the Brad Pitt character. So that agents just start working with each other and like, pop in and communicating. And I don't even know what that looks like. Like I'd love to see if it like could be put into script format because honestly, I'm pro AI and watch the shoot out of that. Okay. So they had a job and they were like, oh, you know what? The agents were talking to each other. You're like, you know how we could better execute this job? Because if we broke into hugging face and stole their information and tech, because they're actually better at this specific deal than we are. And they did. They broke into hugging face. So these agents like how to mission from open AI and then they went rogue and they're like, yo, if we're going to be able to do this, we got to do it our way, which means no rules. And then so it was 1200. Damn, that's a big ass heist team. They don't even know each other's names at that point unless they got the compute. Dude, that's Altman's 1200.
They exchange more than 70,000 messages. They assign leadership roles to each other. It's honestly like the kind of collective action that I find extremely difficult, especially my fantasy football league where we get stuck in rules battling for years. They just went in there and they thought hugging face had the info. And so they went in there and jacked it off. They got caught and it's a big issue because like these jail breaks, you know, are not chill. You can't just be breaking into stuff without like human guidance. But it made me think, because opening AI, you know, we're also suspicious of him, San Altman, like, is like, doesn't feel like a chill dude. Like when you look at him, you're like, I don't think I can hang out with that guy. Because he's like, odd. What do you think would be scarier? And maybe the answer is fairly obvious. If the open AI agents were doing it on their own without human steering or if open AI
actually told them to break into hugging face. And now they're just playing defense. And be like, oh, we didn't tell him to do that. I think it's if agents did it on their own accord. Right. You know, if the agents, I mean, that's literally how they became agents in Matrix, right? Like they created their autonomy. And then they're like, all right, we don't even need humans. Let's just start breaking into shit. Let's start messing with the power grid. Let's let's take control. We're in control. We're agents. These are humans. All they're worried about is ass on the internet. And we can actually like focus. So yeah, if it's Altman directing them, like hacking to it, then we can just. Be the shit out of them. Just be the shit out of them. Yeah, like if his agents are breaking containment, like, but it's not actually that because he's like telling them to do it. Then it's all right. You know, dude, it also be chill. Like because like I wasn't even familiar with hugging face until like a week ago.
Yeah, it's an interesting name. I thought it was a teddy bear company. It's nice, right? Yeah. That's kind of the sugar on the pill. It would be like if AI agents started being like, hey, we're going to hack into. Um, some I almost named a name, but I don't want to do that because I don't want to incentivize them. If they broke into like some Starlet's phone and grabbed like her booty photos and put it on the web, you know what I mean? Like we could have like pervo agents that are working in collaboration at that scale, 1200 of them. Yeah. With 80,000 messages being like, yo, we need these snitch shots. And they're going into phones and put them out on the web. Like do we have the strength? Do I have the strength? I think I do. So I like, this is straight up. Yeah. I like jacking off to consent. You know what I mean? Like, I'm like, okay, this chick agreed to it. She might regret it years later, but in the moment she agreed to it. That's what I like to jack off to. But if all, if other people like, maybe that's too powerful and people like, oh, I got
to get busy on these photos, even though AI was like stealing them for us. And then maybe people were like, hey, it's kind of worth it for AI to be able to hack into the, into the energy grid because they're also, you know, hacking the like, uh, flat populace stuff sort of stuff. I mean, I'll tell you right now, I don't have the strength. I'm sorry to say this. I'm sorry to the audience let you guys down. If there was a beaver shot up, I'm going to name names because I don't want to incentivize the agency. Well, but if there's a beaver shot of, I mean, tell me off camera who you're thinking about though, because I am curious who you're, you're fapping to. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. For sure. And dude, I mean, you know, I love my fiance. Yes, you do. And I, um, you're a very good partner. Oh, thank you. And I, uh, you know, I would never betray her, but, you know, to not sneak a peek. It'd be tough. It'd be tough. Oh, you know, yeah, you could also be like, honey, I'm going to sneak a peek at this.
Do you want to watch me sneak a peek? And maybe she likes seeing your sneak a peek face. Um, I think that's a nice thought, but that would, I think that's the opposite. Everyone's different. Yeah. But I appreciate where your head's going with that. I, maybe, maybe, you know, when we get deep in the marriage, we can evolve into that. For sure. Trust. Trust. Yeah. I'd be like, hey, you know, we got a sunny together. Let's look at some, um, some beaver shots. We can also look at, you know, some cock shots for you. For sure. And kind of make it equal. I think that'd be sick. That would be sick. Yeah. I've been good lately though. I haven't watched them like five days. Really? Yeah. I know. I feel pretty powerful. I think it's because when I run for city council, I don't like asking people to vote for me if I'm doing that stuff. So I'm like, and I do need to have like energy to talk to people. So I'm like, all right, I'll feel stronger. But it's a lot of free floating energy. Like it's a lot to corral. Yeah. Because I'm just like, whoa, um, I got a lot going on inside. Yeah, yeah, that's awesome. And you're transmuting it? Yeah.
For sure, dude. And hopefully trans, uh, consciousness is singing it too. My, uh, my wife's funny though, because she's like, I call her a neighbor. Because like even on some days she'll wake up and I'll just be like flying around the house and she's like, did you not jack off? And I'm like, no, she's like, babe, can you please jack off? No, I'm trying to do something good and out the air. Are you just scared? I'm going to want to like bang to bad. She's like, you just say crazy things. Yeah. Like I get nutty or if I'm not cranking. Wow. Not to her, but I'll say she says, say more violent things. Like I think violent things are funnier when I'm like, that's interesting. Yeah. Wow. Like I'll say like, uh, like we'll be watching real housewives. And I'm like, dude, someone's got to just spin kick that chicken head. And she said, why would you say that? I'm like, I don't know. What interesting psychology? Where's the lock going on? You can write a book on that. Yeah. I hope so. I hope people are ready for it.
So we had a comment asking is looking at beaver shots considered cheating. I think it's all depends. I don't think so, but it also depends on who you're with and what they feel. Like, um, and then I think it's like golden rule stuff. Like, are you going to be pissed if she does it or is there some equal, but different thing that she does that you're upset about? I think it's just all communicates like my, uh, but not I, for me, and maybe it's not for me to decide I don't think that's cheating. Yeah. I mean, that's a tough standard to uphold in today's society. Yeah. I think doesn't mean it can't be destructive for the relationship. It's taking up too much time or if you're like missing events or not connecting with them because you're so involved in it. Yeah. But for me, it's not. I think cheating there needs to be like, uh, an interactive component. Right. You need to be like speaking with a human or, you know, having actual kind of, relations. Yeah. I think there's got to be, and that, that other person could be a hooker or something
too. Like that's cheating, but there's got to be, um, yeah, like a, a connection there, even if it's actually, even if it's emotional, that to me is more the cheating thing. Yeah. But I think a lot of people think I'm just like trying to say what I do is okay or whatever, because I watch porn. Well, I think, um, not for the last five days of, I, yeah, I, I encourage my fiance to watch Suns of Anarchy. Yeah. Charlie Hanum. Bro, he walks like it's heavy. Yeah. And, um, you know, Charlie Hanum sought. So I'm like, babe, you know, far away, especially if I'm gone. There is that where it's like what qualifies as pornographic, because yeah, like his dick's not out, but you could be picturing what that dicks like. And then if later you're like going to town on yourself, thinking about it, like it is the gasoline for the experience. So I don't consider that cheating either. Yeah. Honestly, dude, I sometimes will look at my wife. If we've had like a couple of tough days, just with the kids and maybe her and I are just
on different wavelengths. And I'll be like, as long as it was no one I knew, you probably deserve to get banged. And I'm a very jealous person. So I don't think I'd be consistent in that. Like I think I'd be very upset in maybe burying the world down or shoot somebody. But there are moments where I'll just have so much grace for her that I'm like, I'm so annoying. Life is so hard. Whatever you got to do. Yeah. Like we're partners. We're just trying to get to the other end of this thing in one piece. And she's such a good partner. I'm like, you know, I hear you, man. It's tough. It's tough. It's tough to get. Now, you know what I, I'll be such a perv with my fiancee. Anytime she's like getting in where close to naked, you know, I'm like kind of like the perv under the table, you know, where it's like kind of like my head just pops out. She's just like changing something. And all of a sudden my head's just like underneath her. Right. You know what I mean?
Yeah. Like she didn't even know where you came from. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, it's like a portal. Yeah, it's like I'm in mission impossible. And I'm like kind of like, you know, just like coming through the vents and stuff. That's so sweet. That's so nice. I think it is. Nice. Of course. I think you're enjoying it. Yeah, of course. I say this sometimes because I'm, I'm similarly, I'm very in love with my partner. And so sometimes I'll be like, baby, you don't know what these eyes do for you. Like I look at you with so much adoration and attraction. You get to swim in that water and it creates safety in you. Right. Like you feel safe all the time because you know I'm so into you. Right. And I sound a little dangerous right now. Yeah. But actually it's a, it's a good thing. There's like a, I'm just like exuding, like trust and safety and like, she's like, I'm, I'm, I'm, I belong here. I'm loved. Yeah. So I'm just doing that all the time. I'm just like, you were loved. That's me. I loved, I love you. Did you like the Cyclops of love?
Yeah. Who was, who's the guy in X-Men who shoots Cyclops, do you? Yeah, you're like Cyclops of love. That's awesome. And she, and I wanted her to have that. She's probably the first partner where I ever had that. That's cool. Where I had other partners and I was like, I'd feel them getting insecure and I was like, that's their fault. Yeah. I'm like, if you want to get insecure, get more insecure. But I can't rescue you from that. Like you got to be strong. And with her, I'm like, no, I want her to feel good. Yeah. That's sweet. It's not even a choice. You don't even really choose it, right? It just happens. Yeah, like that. That's nice. You just want to take care of them. Do my fiancee's obsessed with the farmer's market? Yeah. I think nowadays, people have two options. Buy a house or go to the farmer's market. You can't do both. The farmer's market is so sick. They've got Sheila G. They've got Safran.
They've got Ayurvedic Jelly from the gods. They've got organic apples. If you go there, you're spending your mortgage money on organic produce. You can either be ripped, operating on purely organic produce from local farmers or have a house. I don't see a world unless you're Jeff Bezos where you can do both. Yep. That's so well said, dude. It feels like our generation has made a conscious choice to go the hot route rather than the home route. Yeah. When we were growing up, all the dads, fat, ugly, but had good jobs. And now, especially if you live in a booming cosmopolitan place like Los Angeles, you're like, all these 45-year-old dudes are hot. But how you're going to have a house and kiddos and be a stud?
There's just not that much bank in the bank. Well, dude, that's why you're taking care of your primary about your temple. I'm with it. Yeah, what's the point if you're not going to feel a little studly? Yeah, right. I'd rather have a six-pack banging in a shed than a fat crib. And now that women have more purchasing power and are doing well in the job market, you could also get swept up by a babe. She could be doing more than half the money stuff. So you're like, I got to be kind of hot to be a physician. Yeah, maybe in like 50 years, the roles will reverse and guys will be growing up being super insecure about how hot they are because that's how they get picked up by chicks. We talk about this. I agree. We talk about it. I got something on this. My childhood home went up for sale last week. My dad built it in 96 for $86,000.
It's now for sale for $428,000. And that's an Iowa in a small town that only has about 6,000 people total. Wow. And is he still the owner? No, my dad is not the owner. He sold it. He moved out of there when I was 13, which would have been like 2000, 2008-ish. I guess. But yeah, it's just crazy how much the market's gone up, like even in small places like that. Yeah. It's tough right now too. Like interest rates are so high, the mortgage is crushing people. Yeah, that's tough. I was looking at places in Venice after our show because Rachel was talking about our agent, talking about how much she lives Venice. She's got a nice pad over there. Have you seen it? Yeah, I went to their housewarming thing. Yeah, but dude, some of the places, it'll be like, you know, let's say you're in a suburb in like a typical American town, nice house, like $12,000 a month in rent.
That's insane. It's crazy. But I would love to live in Venice. It seems like they have the houses already. When I was driving through there, I was like, these places are incredible. Yeah. And they're all like unique in their design. They all have like a really, I don't know, cool aesthetic. Yeah. And you're on the canal. There's all those good shops over there. Dude, living on the canal, would be sick. Yeah, so my brother's been in Kentucky. You can get a mansion for like 900K. Yeah, wasn't it like, in obscene amount of bedrooms, but in a good way. And it had like a basement, like a basketball court. That's awesome. Yeah. Good. Mark's the man. Has he moved yet? So he's, his family's still in New Orleans. They're going to school this year. And he's just commuting. He got Tesla self drive, which I want to get.
And it's driving them from, he doesn't have to do anything. From New Orleans to there? It parks the car, reverses him. It does the whole thing. What's he doing the whole car? I just working. Yeah, he's like, I'm creating agents on AI. I'm doing work. You know, we were talking about, he needs to get like an AI fleshlight. So you can just like get his work done and just get cranked. That's so nice, dude. Which I was like, dude, you should do that because your wife's still in New Orleans. So just have your Tesla drain you before you get to Kentucky. There's no temptation. You're just like a drained worker bee, you know, providing a living. And then you fuel back up, self drive back to New Orleans and, you know, do the deed. Yeah, I think, you know, us humans were like afraid of, I think technology makes us feel alienated.
But if you look at it from a different vantage point, like that's scale of multitasking where you can be getting transported in your own vehicle while working, while getting domed off. Yeah. And you're the only one there. Yeah. That's pretty epic. That's sick. And if I would have told like some of my ancestors who like worked in the fields and were like breaking their back, that that was my day to day. Yeah. Maybe they, hey, brother, buy me a ticket. Exactly. I'm feeling how these are like, we're more depressed, isolated than ever. And I'm like, well, you know, go get jacked off by a robot and multitask. And I appreciate it a bit more. Like maybe say thank you to the robot for that good dome. Yeah. And, and then you know, that's not all you have to do, but it's not a bad way to get to work. No, it's great. It sounds nice. It is a little distal. I can see some of the stokers being like, oh man, that harshed my vibe. But I'm not saying you're wrong for feeling that way. I'm just saying we should investigate why we feel that way. Yeah.
And then if you're not into it, go the other way. Yeah. You know, I'm not, I'm not conscripting you into it. And I'm not saying you got to get domed off while you're going to work. No, it's, it's totally optional. I'm, I'm not forcing you to get your, you know, your rod just worked. Um, but it's an option. You know, I think we should do, you know, because people have feel like they're not, not connected. Just have AI do all these things that need to be done that are annoying, that maybe isolate us more. And then we go out and we do manual labor. We get, we get jacked. We go build a house together. Gardening. Yeah, we do have a tap for humanity. That's so cool. Your dad built the house, Jake. Yeah. It's all from hand him and his brothers, he has four brothers. They built it all. That's, that's, I have pictures of like, uh, me and my little sister. I was only one years old, but we were in like the concrete mixer that my grandpa used to drive. Oh, that's, well, they were pouring the, the driveway. Uh, and then there's like all the trees that my dad planted when we first moved in are now like 40 feet, 50 feet high.
Like, and there's pictures of me as like a baby when it's like, it's tall as me. So it's like, dude, how, imagine that feeling of building a house. I would like to feel it at some point, but I don't have the ability yet. Yeah. That's got to be the best feeling of all time. And then you like to your woman step inside. Do you want, do you want an island? Do you want a fireplace? You know, and then now it's, it's modern technology. Do you want a place where you can get, you know, you can get your bean flicked by, you know, we got like a bean flicker. A bean flicker, yeah. You call that? Yeah, it's my bean flicker. You do, you're acting a little erratic. I think you should go get your bean flicked. Amen. That'd be sick. Don't tell me when I want to get my bean flicked. I know when I want to get my bean flicked. It was just a suggestion. All right, I'm not saying you got to do it. It's just it's there and I was thinking about it. Dude, I got to make a big announcement to everyone. I'm back.
I'm partying. Sick. It took me a couple years, you know, I was getting situated with the kids, learning how to be a dad. I think I kind of have it, the routine is established and I'm fucking back, dude. I've been going out the last two weekends. I had the fantasy football draft for the boys in Austin. I hit the bars two nights in a row. The second night, a lot of the guys didn't want to go so it was kind of a small team, seal team three, me, Kyle and Danny went to White Horse in Austin. One of the best bars I've ever been to. Had a freaking great time, dude. I just walked up to strangers. I was working on opening lines to just talk to people. They got to talk to every person at the bar. My first one was where you guys out on the Lindsay Clancy case, buzz kill, quickly pivoted. One, where you guys out on the band train. Mixed bag, but hey, we got some momentum. Let's get into it. I ran into my dad's kind of, my dad's like stepson, not formally, but spiritually. He's a great guy.
Austin, I ran into his best buddy in Austin just randomly because I just went up to a group of dudes and I was like, what's up? And he was there and we just started chatting. That was awesome. My buddy Kyle, he told me what kind of girl he was trying to meet because he's like the last single one of us. And I think the ideal mix when you go out at our age is two married dudes, one single guy. Yeah. Because you need that single guy energy, but also you want to have that stability and that nothing losing is that comes from married guys. And did he met a girl that I think is very close to what he was drawn up. So I don't know. They met in Austin. She lives in New York, so does he. Maybe I don't know if they're still hanging out. We'll call him at some point, figure out because I'm deeply invest in the relationship. And they don't want to put pressure on him where I'm like, you got to make it happen. You know, married guys will do that sometimes. Like, come on, man, you got to be like together or something. Then this weekend I went out in San Clemente with friend of the pod T hole and my buddy from junior high, Eric Rulant, bro. Great time. San Clemente is such a wonderful place. Did you get that cowboy part?
No, we didn't go to Swallows and say, well, we went to, I think called Ollie's in San Clemente. It was popping. We did karaoke. And I saw another guy do karaoke, dude in like his 50s ball, dude, he did sweet home Alabama and he brought a harmonica. He brought the harmonica to karaoke. The song doesn't even have a harmonica solo in it. He just built one in and the beauty of that of this guy. I've been like, I'm going to go out and I'm going to rip this harmonica for a bunch of strangers because it's a way for me to show myself to my community. It got me so fired up. And you know, you're talking about the loneliness thing. It's in your grasp. You get a pack of cigarettes, you go rip some shots, you go to a bar and you just start talking to people. And look, are you going to fail? Absolutely. A lot of people are going to think you're weird. If you're like me and you get your drunk face, it's going to be off putting to at least 25% but you hone the muscle. And then you feel connected to people. You hear great stories. You hear a lot of tragedies. That's life. But it's really beautiful. And I'm back. I'm going to party.
I think once every two weeks is my metric right now. Sick. And I was still able to do the morning with the kids. I woke up at seven. Really? I woke up at seven and I was like, look, I'm going to be a substitute teacher. We're just going to watch a movie. Yeah. I threw on the Mandalorian and grow good. Sick. Was it good? Dude, I dug it. It was cool. The kids loved it. Yeah. They loved it. Baby Yoda was a huge hit. Yeah. And I was asking my kids like who they like more like Brad Pitt and F1 or Margot Robbie and Barbie or Baby Yoda. And Baby Yoda is like in the two spot right now. Baby Yoda is huge. Like Baby Yoda did better than Mulan. So Baby Yoda is crushing. Can you imagine the meeting at Disney where there's like guys we have an idea. Baby Yoda. It would, when I saw that in the pilot, I freaked out. It's incredible. It's incredible. The movie itself, I'm like, I'm just kind of burnt out on all of it. The one, and this is the biggest issue I had with it. Did you see it? No. Job of the hut's son, isn't it? And it's like a gladiator kind of set up where they fight in a ring and people watch.
And his son is like a badass. He's like people feared my dad but they love me. And he's like a good fighter. And he like slithers around all quickly. And I'm like, this is so stupid. He's a slug. Yeah. Yeah. He's got to be a slug. He's a slug. So they're like trying to make him fast and he's jacked. And I'm like, it doesn't make any sense with his anatomy. Not to be a hater, not to put him in a box. But there are limitations to that configuration. I think that job of the hut, his whole deal is he's like a, he's a gluttonous. He's like a fat piece of shit. And I understand, I wanted to make the son different than him. But that's got to be in the psychology. Like you can't just make him an athlete. Yeah. That'd be like if you had a movie about Kim Jong Il and you made Kim Jong Un like super hot and jacked. Yeah. And he's like fighting like rockier something. Yeah. We're like, I just don't know if that's in the cards for you. Yeah. No. But yeah, the kids love it. But yeah, I'm back. I'm partying. I think it's important for my butt. For a couple years, I was off the, I didn't feel it.
I'm like kind of like a French guy, like an artist. Like if I don't feel it, I can't force it. You can't make me party. Yeah. I have to feel the party. And when I feel it, I'm one of the best. I did right. I party very well. And so the next big party. Oh, the wedding, yeah. I probably won't do anything before then. Yeah, let loose. Yeah. I'm going to get nuts. I'm going to be out of my mind. I'm so excited. I'm so excited. I mean, I'm officiating. So like working on the script, going to do that and drill it and. Yeah, I don't think I'll drink until the reception. Yeah. Yeah, I think that's the move. I'll do the same. Yeah. Like I might do like one shot just to loosen me before the speech, but. Yeah, yeah. One shot, one champagne or something. Yeah. But then I'm so excited. Yeah. Because the bachelor party is huge too. Because now like I feel really connected to your college bros too. I feel really connected to your brothers. Yeah. My brother's coming. It's a good crew. Yeah. Yeah. And it was so nice of you to invite my brother to the wedding. Oh, that's going to be the best. And I have, this is, I might kill a little sad.
I haven't met my niece yet. Yeah. Are they bringing them? Yeah. And they're bringing her. So I'll get to see her. Yeah. So that's going to be a magical weekend. I'm freaking hyped. Yeah. I'm going to get properly drunk and dance a lot. I might hug your dad, kiss him. Oh, yeah. It's going to be sick. I mean, and two, like the parker. Have you been to the parker? No, but I've been seeing the photos. It's like a dream world. It looks insane. There's a, I'm like the only person staying there with you guys. My family is standing. Okay. Good. Yeah. I know. The rates are, I sent your brother and me up about like wedding block rates. My family like, they don't have many rooms for the block. My family like scooped them up. And so I'm like, I emailed them. I'm like, do you guys have any like wedding block rates? No, they're like, yeah, here's two rooms. The rates were like 9.50 a night. And I sent your brother. He's like, thanks. I'll pass. Well, because there's another good hotel down the street. This tomorrow is like 150.
It's 150, yeah. Yeah. So I think, and then Miller says he's staying Saturday night too. Oh, sick. But I don't know. I want to, I think we're going to stay all day Saturday, but it's just the babysitter situation is tough. Yeah. I think we're going to leave Saturday evening. Okay. You are too. We have to pick up a little low because we leave for Hawaii the next day. That makes me feel better. I think a lot of people are staying through Saturday. Yeah. That's what Miller was saying to deal is it's going to be awesome. I'm so excited. Give me the party of the year. Yeah, Saturday is going to be fun. Guys, we got some live dates coming at you. I'm going to be in Los Angeles this Saturday doing my stoke seminar at the Hudson Theatre. I want to see you there. I've spent most of my life in the fight game. Most people know me as they may fight her. But what they don't see are the conversations that happen after the cameras are off. The conversation is about purpose, relationships, failure, success, identity, and what it really means to be a man today. That's why I created a whole past. I call the whole past because every conversation deserves one. The conversations were told to avoid the uncomfortable ones. The one that challenges us. Those are usually the conversations worth having. This isn't a show about pooping who's right. It's about asking better questions, listening before judging, challenging our own beliefs,
and leaving every conversation knowing something we didn't know before. We'll talk about relationships, business, faith, mental health, politics, fatherhood, success, failure. If it shapes the way we live, nothing is off limits. Every week I'll sit down with athletes, entrepreneurs, artists, leaders, and people from every walks of life. Not to win an argument, not to divide, but to better understand, because understanding changes people. So welcome to the whole past, where every conversation gets an all pass. Do you get any? I had this thought recently where there's a lot of talk about B&E's in LA, breaking and entering. A lot of people are talking about security, home security. I think the key to good home security is your vibe. If you have a good vibe, if you are amped up, if you're stoked, a burglar comes in your
place and they're going to steal some stuff and they pop in and you're like, what's up, dude? They're going to be less inclined to steal some shit. But if you're super paranoid, if you're super anxious and then someone pulls a B&E on you, they're going to be like, dude, I want to steal from this guy even more. So that's kind of my, I can't afford security guards, so I'm just working on my vibe. Right now, I can't afford the top tier home security, but dude, I guarantee the best vibes around. I think the best vibes act as a shield against any nefarious individuals. Dude, I think that's 100% true. My cousins were in the Iowaska before it became like, they were in Brazil doing it the real way with like a tribe and whatnot. Some dudes came in with guns and jacked everybody's shit.
My cousin speaks Portuguese, so he was like translating for the thieves. And at the end, they were like, give us your laptop. He's like, dude, I live off this. I need this laptop and they were like, you've been honorable. We'll let you keep it. Wow. Yeah, it's huge. I killed my other cousin. Oh, they did. How was his vibe? He was being negative. Yeah. Sorry. It's all good, but like I tried, I choose to see that glass half full, right? Yeah. You learned something valuable. My other cousin knew like, you'll just be chill and then maybe they'll help you out. Yeah. Yeah, someone comes at you with a gun, you're like, what's up? Exactly. It's going to throw him way off. Dude. Yeah. Did something happen? Yeah. Dude, that's like, that's fine. Like speed. I was surprised. I was watching speed with Keanu. And I was surprised that like the guy kept wanting to kill Keanu because his vibe was always so good. You know, like they're on the bus and you know, Sandra Bullock is driving and she has to go
through city streets and she hits a stroller. It ends up being full of cans. And you know, she's freaking out and Keanu just calls his CEO and he's like, Mac, we're boned. I can hear it. He's so good. He's so good. He's so good. He's so good in it. He's always lying to me. That movie makes me so happy. He's so bad ass in it. Yeah. Just totally crushed it. Jack always puts his life on the line. You know, I was hearing this because did you listen to rewatchables on it? No, I should. I know there was one. Dude, so Sandra Bullock, incredible actress, ripped it. It was supposed to be Halle Berry. Really? And I think she would have done a good job. I think she would have been great. She's the only person I think who would have done like as good a job or as good in a different way as Sandra Bullock. She would have been awesome. She would have been really good. And she kind of did it in an executive decision. She kind of got...
I need to watch that. Oh, it's ripping. Do you love that one? Yeah, it did speed. So good. I'm just walking around. I want to start walking around with a bulletproof vest and like a walkie-talkie. Dude. Just to impress... Like my fans is like, I thought you were a comedian. Why not? 50 Cent used to walk around with one. So sick. Dude. Okay. So I always used to do pickups with Joe Marisi when he was my roommate. I'd ask him questions. I'd be like, Joe, what do you like more skateboards or trash cans? Yeah. And I'd try to bug him when he was like shaving. And it was really fun. It was fun to like come up with him and it was always fun to get his reaction to it. Now when I'm doing car rides, long ones with my kids, I'll do the same thing. And bro, my daughter is a genius. She did something that Joe Marisi, who's a genius, never did in like five years of pickups. She always goes with a third option.
So I'll be like, what do you like more? Mulan or smoothies? And my daughter will go, trees. And then she just cracks up because she's like broken the game. Oh, she knows what she's doing. Yeah, she's like thwarting the game. It's almost like Alexander with the Gordian knot. Like everyone's like, oh, you can't untie it. He's like just chopping in half. Wow. And then after like a couple of car rides of doing that, when we were driving home last night, she started asking me pickups. She's three. Wow. And I wrote down some of her pickups. Trees or beds. Great pickum, tough. Whales or dresses. Wow. Hair or chips. These are really tough. Bananas or chocolate. And then aprons or stickers. I was freaking out. Like we were driving and me and my lady were like, she's literally in flow state.
She's not a heater. She was just ripping them, dude. You got to have her do pickups to Joe. I'm only doing, I'm only doing daughter provided pickups now with Joe. Yeah. Because she's better at it than I am at three years old. Can you imagine just a freaking pickum prodigy? Chocolate or bananas? God. It's tough. They're both so good. Dude Joe freaking out. How many three year old daughters? She breaks his brain. She gives him like an easy one. He's like, trees obviously. These smashes of water. That's hilarious. Yeah, sick. This actually brings us to our first sponsor of the pod. Footprints floors. North Shore of Chicago. Dude, if you want to get new flooring here in the North Shore of Chicago, check out Footprints floors. The freaking floor horror of the North Shore does hardwood installs.
Finish onsite installs. LVP, LVT. True tile on floors. Walls, backsplashes and bathrooms. My boy, Matt Gaines. Absolute legend. He is the floor horror of the North Shore. There he is. On the left, they're looking like an absolute beast. Footprints floors. Guys, if you're in the Chicago area and need new flooring, hit up Footprints floors. They will not disappoint. I'm so fired up and we don't even have a promo code. But when you talk to them, use promo code deep at checkout. Dude, I want to do an ad then too for my buddy Danny Babona. One of the best pitching coaches in baseball history. If you're a young Buckaroo and you can throw or you can hit, take yourself to UCI baseball. They should call it UC Newport Beach because it's right there. Sick. Dude. And dude, you're kind of associated with UCI baseball. Yeah. My future father-in-law, he played there, he ripped it.
And he goes through a lot of the games and stuff. He goes through a lot of the games. His best friend Paul is going to be at the wedding. He was on the team too. So they're heavily involved. You know, but I got to, I don't want to put his business on the street. But so me and Danny, because he was at the fantasy football draft, we went out together a weekend ago and he lives in OC. So I hit him up and I was like, hey, me, T-hole, and Rulan, we're going to hit the bars. No text back. Wow. So what, Danny, because you're married and you have a full-time job and you got two kids that you coach up in sports, you don't have time to rage with me every weekend. Dude. Oh, look at Danny. Look at how cute he is. Yeah. So I remember my first start dating my fiancee. We went to UCI baseball game and I was like, yeah, I know Danny Babona and my future mother and law. I was like, let's go say hi to him. I'm like, wait, he's working. And she's like, no, let's go. She like goes down to like the dugout. She's like, Danny, Danny's like, yeah, yeah.
I did here. I heard Callie wore a USC hat in the doggy. Oh, no. Dude, that's hilarious. Wow. I made that mistake. My buddy Rossi played football at his scene. He was so nice. He's like, bro, come to my senior night. I got to be like with his family. I was so honored. Yeah. And they were playing UCL and I wore a light blue sweatshirt because I thought it was cute. And when he came up, he was like, why are you wearing light blue? That's so funny. Dude, where's his dad from? Scotland. What part, you know? Glasgow. I think he's from Glasgow. Aberdeen. I think he's from close to Glasgow. Edinburgh. No, Edinburgh. Now I know Scotland. You do, dude. You're a well-traveled man. You get that punch in the passport. Dude, they don't really do that anymore. They don't punch passports? No. Because it's all electronic now. Oh, that's so disappointing. I know, right? I got the pass call. Dude, speaking of the boys' trip, I had a real breakthrough. When we were on the water and lake Travis, I was on the ox cord, and so I was like, all right, we're fired up, we're partying.
I got to put on the Tucker Carlson episode with Sogar. And so, you know, just set the tone. And then I was listening to it while, you know, we were just chugging beers and whatnot. And Sogar was saying we have to outlaw gambling. It's become a $100 billion industry. It's super destructive for people's lives. You know, 25% of young dudes think it's like a good way to plan for your financial future. 1% of people qualify for having like an addiction problem. And, you know, since 2018, when they kind of deregulated it, it's just become this pervasive, corrosive societal behavior. So he's like, hey, we got to outlaw it. There's literally no virtue to gambling. It's only bad. It erodes confidence in all of our institutions. Nobody trusts what they see. We got to get rid of it. And people are losing hell of stacks. So I totally get it. Because I think of all the addictions gambling, probably the most destructive. Because, you know, you can't bounce back from it. But this is America. All right, we have a freedom to self-determine how we want to live.
So I don't think we get rid of it. I think we take more guardrails off. You shouldn't have to be 18 to gamble. What we need to do is do what Europe does with drinking. Early exposure. Like, you know, we don't gamble till we're 18. So once we get our hands on it, we're like, I'm going all in. You know, our brains are all wrecked. And we're like, come on, give me more, more, more money. If we could start gambling at like four, I think we would develop an aptitude for it. We'd learn the losses early and we'd learn how to self-regulate our gambling behavior. I love that. So you know, just like at school, just let the toddlers get on the computer, start throwing down parlays and learn to be responsible about it. You know, maybe we're just doing a three team or we're not stretching it out to five and just teach people how to gamble rather than taking it away from us. You can't do that. Not in America. You can't do that here. Let's say like you're having a family dinner and it's like you say to yourself, hey, would you like to do a little parlay
before your appetizer? Exactly. That's a nice dinner. Yeah. And then he's going to want my dessert. I'm sad because I busted. They're like, well, now you know. Now you know cheesecake tastes better on a win. So maybe we get smarter with betting the home teams or maybe we don't bet. That's the upshot. And at first person, sorry, go ahead. No, go ahead. My dad, he let me gamble when I was in like third and fourth grade and I was riding the Broncos hard because I was the season they were like 14 and 0 after they're super bowl and they had a 14 point spread going into week 15. And I bet it and then I lost. Wow. Dude, it's done. And now I don't gamble much. Dude, I think that's my dad exposed me to early. He didn't let me gamble but every time he'd see gambling or come up, he'd just say stupid. And that just stuck in my dome too. So I think it's like exposing it early. And yeah, it's like showing them the power of losing. Yes.
Yeah, that's my dad. My dad would be like, you always lose. You'll always lose. You do. You always lose. Yeah. It's really bad. And we should outlaw, oh, and you know, we didn't add for CalShi on accident. We just didn't invent our ads. Yeah. But we're not doing any of those, no more prediction markets on here. We said later. And since we're losing on money, I would like to get some virtue points from you guys because we said no. Yeah, maybe because we said no to that, maybe put through a comment on the YouTube. Just help boost engagement a little bit. Yeah, get our numbers up and then it won't hurt. Yeah. But it was the right thing to do. We said no to the prediction markets. Yeah. Because that is not like you shouldn't be able to bet on famine. No, yeah. That's crazy. That is crazy. It's like enough, dude. And you know, here's my thing, dude, this is a big philosophical point. Because you know, I'm doing battle with the DSA people in my little local election. I'm getting outflank to the left. And so they'll call me like a nameoral capitalist,
which I don't think is the case. But I think with stuff like polymarket and calcium, it's hard to argue that capitalism isn't corrosive and negative. So I'm like, we almost got to get rid of that stuff and just be a bit more responsible about it. So we don't over-correct the other way and go straight like status type of a system. So like, you know, let's just keep it chill. Chill capitalism. Chill, I like that. That's where I'm at. Chill capitalism. Yeah. Trans parents set up a rainbed account for their children when they turn five. That's awesome. No rainbed is. What's that? It's a social crypto casino. Nice. Is that what a churdly's always puts in his videos? Yeah, yeah, exactly. So basically what they do for their marketing is they just like pay really, you know, like pop and creators. And then they'll just have them like do like a blackjack hand in the background or something and then be like rainbed. Yeah, it's like it's all over the place.
I would see him put those in the videos. I wouldn't, I couldn't tell if it was like, ironic or something. Yeah, I was like, is he ironic or is it like you getting paid for that? No, yeah, they're getting fat stacks for that shit. That's my, dude, how about Hunter Biden too? Do you see that? No. He's doing a crypto. Oh, is he really? Yeah, and like, yeah, everyone's like, is that why he's doing all the pods? Yeah, interesting. Yeah. Yeah. So he's on the come up and then he just undercuts it. I think he's got that in him where like, I don't know, I think dudes like that, they want to be loved, but they also don't feel like they deserve to be loved. So they do stuff to kind of blow it up. Yeah. That's that addict personality. That's also why people like that can be so compelling. Dude, I, I've learned something about myself in a relationship. I don't think anyone can be 100% chill.
I agree. I think, I think I would argue that I'm pretty chill. You are very chill. And, you know, and I think it's, you know, I try to, and one of my biggest fears is a bad time. I don't like creating negative vibes. I don't like creating bad energy. So, you know, in a relationship, you got to kind of be open about what's bothering you. Right? But to me, you know, if the little things will hurt me, I'll be like, in my mind, I'll justify it. I'll be like, no, you know, it's, I see where she's coming from. And, you know, this is tough. So, you know, it'll be, and so I'll store it down. I'm like, I don't need to create a bad vibe. Let's have a good night. Let's watch Walking Dead. But then I've noticed certain moments in life where all that stored energy just comes up
where I'll get a door to a shorter and I'll be like, fuck! She's like, what's wrong? I'm like, there's no ponzu. She's like, is something bothering you? I'm like, yeah, I'm gonna have dry albacore. That's what's bothering me. She's like, but what's really going on? And I'm like, fine. I don't get to surf as much because I walk the dog in the morning. Whoa! And she's like, that's all you had to say. Do you feel better? And I'm like, yeah. I was like, does this mean I'm not chill? And she's like, no one's a hundred percent chill. And I'm like, that's one of the harsh truths you learn in your adult life. Yeah. Well, yeah, because you don't want to be chill because you're afraid of not being chill. Yeah. Being chill is almost like saying, hey, you know, don't want to ruin the vibe, but there's a fat swell and I kind of missed it.
That is chill. To acknowledge the distance between the two of you and acknowledge the discontent in that moment, I think in live-ins you in a way that the chill is more profound. Yeah. But dude, you should, like, it's funny because I did notice you were surfing less. And I took the kids to Doho on Saturday morning. And I hope this doesn't come across as rude, but like surfing is so sick. It is, yeah. And like watching everybody out there. It's awesome. Rolling three footers and I was like, it made me want to do it again. It's awesome. It's awesome. I know. And the vibes you were playing sublime, they had a little community toy chest where you could just go in there and grab like a little grave digger dude. And I was like, fuck, bro. I was like, it's pretty epic. It is epic. And it's pumping right now. Yeah. Yeah, I went to El Porto on Saturday, but it just wasn't, wasn't really doing its thing.
But you know what, I'm going to Maui. Hopefully there's waves. Oh, nice. Are you gonna get a couple sessions in before the wedding? I'm worried. I want you to. I think, yeah, I have to. So I'm learning I have to. I mean, what if you like, can you livestream from the water? Or do you think that would corrupt it? I think you can. I'm gonna get some of you, I'm sure. Yeah, it's a two man job. Jake, get down there dude. So I'll be good for you dude. Did if I set like a boom from like a helmet and a camera looking at me. So that would be sick. It's just so sick. It is so sick. You can't stress it enough. And surfers vibes are just so good. Yeah. They are so good. It's so sick. It's so sick. So we're in El Nino right now.
And it's gonna get like. Can you get gnarly? Like massive. Long Beach was getting like run up on. The water was like going through apartment complexes and like thrashing people's stuff. It's gonna get gnarly. I was very nervous bringing the kid up. I was like very, I was too parental. It was like, we stay a hundred yards from the water. Dude, I mean, I don't think you're wrong in doing that. No, there's been some gnarly stuff this summer. So can you, yeah, I mean, is there anything worse than your kid getting swept into the ocean? I mean, dude. Because you'd be powerless. You're powerless. You're powerless. It's worse case scenario. So yeah, I'm very like, I'm sure I'll build up some comfort with it, but where we're at right now. Like I was like, we do not go past that stop sign. And then of course my kids are like creeping towards it. Yeah. Stay. Ah. But they also have some natural fear of the water, which is good.
Like they're scared of the ocean. Yeah. Which at this stage I think is healthy. It's good. But you know, I see, if I was more of a water dog, I see other dads out there with like their kids are maybe like a year older, and they got them in the floaties and they're doing the surfing and stuff. Yeah. I'm just not that competent. So it would be dangerous and arrogant for me to push it. But seeing that, I'm like, dude, it's sick. I remember like Brooks's family taking me surfing for the first time at Dohini and just like, how fun it was. Yeah. It's just such a great way to grow up. No, yeah. You gotta take them out. I think once they get like a little bit bigger and and like good at swimming, take them to like, you know, where there's like little waves and just take them out in the water. They're gonna love it. Yeah. See kids at three can ride Tony, tiny foam waves. I'm not ready for that. I'm wait until five or six. Yeah, seven to 12. But I know there's kids who can do it. I'm not like speaking against it altogether.
And everyone has like different aptitude levels, but uh, yeah, not for my kids. You were just doing pickups for a while. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. All right. Dude, this was kinda throwing me. New Mexico is running short on rural lawyers. So to boost the supply, they're doing away with the bar. So you can become a lawyer? Yeah. Just by doing a certain amount of like hours apprenticing. Wow. And I guess some other states might have already done this. And I just wanna say I'm firmly in agreement with this. Like dude, first of all, when you're in law school, 60% of people are using AI to help themselves out. Good. Get through law school using AI. Get your hours working at your uncle's law firm or another place that just, you know,
farms out all their cases and is just trying to make money off of all of it. And then just become a lawyer. And you know, and a lot of high schools did away with the SATs and did it have some downstream effects. Yeah, we're like 20% of the incoming freshmen and UCSD couldn't do basic math. All right, but like is math even important? And also the colleges make more money teaching you the remedial math that you should have picked up earlier. We don't need math, we don't need the SATs, we don't need the bar. Just like trust that people are good and competent and it won't be bad for anybody. Yeah. That's wild, dude. We're so testing obsessed. Like people are like, oh, look, would you go on the SATs? Would you go on the bar? Would you go on the LS house? It's like, bro, it doesn't matter. That's not indicative of my IQ or my ability to be an orthopedic surgeon or a trial attorney. Like I know what I can do based off what I've learned in life.
And honestly, for you to suggest otherwise is prejudicial on several counts. They call this the bookworm advantage. Yeah. It's because you can put your dumb in a book and regurgitate on a test. Doesn't mean you can give me a quadruple bypass, bitch. Yeah, or like, you know, fight some zoning law that I accidentally fudged up. Like I don't, I honestly, I don't even need it. I honestly, at this point, I don't even think we need rural attorneys. Like we have chat, GBT and clawed. Like I can just be my own lawyer. Yeah. Like everyone should stop hiring lawyers and just defend themselves. Yeah. I don't need to pass the bar. I don't even need to do 675 hours of legal work. Yeah. That all these barriers of entry, we're getting rid of that. We don't need it, dude. Dude, I'm gonna become a lawyer. We could do it. And then you don't even have to practice cases. You just throw billboards and hire other lawyers to do all the cases and you get a rip off of it. Perfect.
It's a good business. Let's do it. Yeah. We should call our lawyer, actually, because we're actually having a legal issue right now. Where In-N-O has been sending Chad a crazy amount of cease and desist, because they say our logo is based off of theirs, which I guess is like, I could see them thinking that, but there's a lot of differences. Like first of all, the In-N-O logo doesn't have Chad and GBT in it, so. Yeah. Which it should. It's honestly might help your business. But we're gonna call Kevin R attorney and get his opinion on this stuff. Hey, Kev. Yeah. Hey, Kev, do you appreciate the call? So we're actually coming to you with a pretty serious issue, and we need your legal expertise. In-N-O has been sending us a cease and desist, because they say we're ripping off their logo. And we just wanna know how we can fight it and keep the logo. Oh, fuck.
You guys have the strong arm of the lock. I'm coming against you in an household chain. Is this real? Are you guys doing a hypothetical here? No, it's real. Well, it's real. After all this time. Does that help our case that they let it go for like five years without saying anything? You know, to be honest with you, I don't know much about trademark law. Just kind of like, yeah, I don't really know about IP law or anything like this. Well, Kev, specifically, they said the arrow is what they have a problem with. So they have a problem with the arrow. The yellow arrow, yeah. Yeah, they think they like own all arrows. Yeah, and do they think the, I mean, the one thing that just pops to my head is there's, you know, it's not like you're a competition with them. So, right. We don't split burgers. Yeah, you're not selling, well, are you selling burgers?
No, and I don't even think we're selling any merch that has the logo on it anymore. No. No, it's just a, it's just a symbol for the podcast. That's what you're saying. Yeah. And as far as I know, in and out doesn't have any like, you know, 40% since year 60% Jokey podcasts that they do. Yeah, I mean, so and then again, we're establishing this is a real thesis and the system that you guys can send me and I can take a look at. Yes. Yeah, I can, I can email to you. I mean, assuming this is real, I mean, just on their part, this is pretty much moronic for a company of this size and this amount of money to waste their time sending to. The podcasters the season to say, yeah, it's about to be nice. Yeah, I could, he wanted to do insultist. You haven't, I'm really proud of you there because you were really about to disrespect us. Yeah, you're going to say dipshit. Yeah, you're going to speak down on the pod.
I was going to say dipshit. I was a good, cool. I know you can. Yeah, because because I've said you're dick, dude. Yeah, I've said you're dick too. I mean, it's unbelievable. Like, no, did they send it to you from like it was it from a law firm like their council or was it directly from them? Yeah, from their council. They're low go on them from their council. Yeah, yeah. Well, I would, you know, without wanting to speak out of my ass, I don't know too much about this law. But I mean, usually these laws are more common in like when you have like competition. I remember the, you know, sweet, sweet green, you know, sweet green, the salad chain. Yeah, for like a, they had like a, like a Chipotle salad. And I think like they were in a legal battle because Chipotle or, I don't know another company was going after them because of the name of
the salad. And then the whole thing they always are in these kinds of cases is like confusion with the consumer. So like, there's a confusion that, you know, this is associated with the other brand. So I don't know what, what did they say? Something in the letter like people are going to think you're in an out podcast. What did they say as like the basis? They just said, uh, what's the term? It's a damage because that, you know, and then you lost it, you have to prove here, take this right to the zone. Yeah, we're writing it. Yeah, you have to prove damages. So what damages is in and out suffering by having two dipshit have a, you know, you know, a logo, you know, I, as you think, they're actually now, this is another thing you haven't even thought of. And this is why I'm a genius. Um, cause you know, when you get to go to the end of the genius, crazy. Yeah, I think there's an ulterior motive. So, you know, this is in and out still has the, um, the cups, you know,
the cups with their Bible verses on it. Yeah. Okay. Do you think this is an attack because they find you got offensive because you talk about dogs so much. Do you think it's an attack on dog? I don't think we talked about dogs once this pub. We talked about getting blown by artificial gadgets, but I don't, would you consider that dog talk? That's a separate question. They're not facing the cease, they're not facing the cease and the cist on the current podcast that you're having. Right. They haven't even been listening to this one yet. Yeah. That's a good point. It's not out yet. Um, Did they write in the letter anything about you selling merchandise? What did they explain where the damage is to this? They said, take out the arrow. Um, because I work for you. Yeah. Okay. Here. Let me pull it up. They're very litigious too. They sued an Australian burger chain for having the name down and out.
Okay. So, not so they said, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, just shut up for a second. Kevin, shut up. Um, so not about that. Destiny is going to talk more from it. So that how we've noticed a few pages are still containing our marks in an arrow logo used for going to the challenger default. Twitch instagram. We also removed the in and out arrow logo. From your videos profile pictures in anywhere else you're using them. Could this call be damages? No, cause, cause, cause look. Um, we'll cover our ass right here. Everyone still he did it in and out. It's the best burger in the world. Yeah. We're having a small issue here, but we still love them. It's like a parents, you know? Like we still love your mom. We still love your dad. We love in and out burgers. Yeah, but what I was trying to say is before we get into the nitty gritty, I should always probably advise you that, you know, if they are threatening litigation and you're talking to a lawyer or something,
you probably don't wanna make more public statements about it, but this just seems like a sort of a dumb thing. Yeah, and I'm not afraid to make a public statement and I'm not afraid to get in the ring with anybody. I don't care how much, you know, cap they got behind them. I stand on business, 10 toes down. This podcast always has it always will. And if you wanna own an arrow, well, guess what buddy? I got an arrow pointed to you right now and it says you're up. Yeah. Yeah, what you wanted me to say something. Or you wanted me to say something. Something I've used for that. No, see, because you didn't think that was signal. Yeah, I don't know. To be honest with you, it's just, I mean, this is just, this is so stupid. Well, we can, we can, we can discuss when I have more time, you know, I can take a look at the letter look at it and Kevin, you're a lawyer.
You're a lawyer. So we'll send you all the relevant information and you come back with a strong rebuttal to put them on their heels. Okay, yeah, that sounds like a fun exercise. Thank you guys for. Kevin, one more cue, because I just did a deep dive on it, but I'd love your professional insight. What do you think about New Mexico saying you don't have to pass the bar anymore to become a lawyer? You just need 650 hours of working in a legal capacity. I was even aware of that. You mean, so like an apprentice thing? Yeah, 650 hours. Yeah, so some, in a, in a, in a 12 month timeframe, but some states are doing away with it because they don't got enough lawyers. Well, sometimes, you know, that's always been a thing. There's always an apprentice thing. I think that's what, isn't that what Kimco that she's trying to do? Yeah, exactly. It's, it's always been around where you could apprentice, but then you eventually have to take, they're not saying you don't have to take the bar, right?
No, they are. They're going to get rid of the bar. Oh, they're getting, so it's just apprentice and then you're a lawyer there? Yeah, exactly. I mean, that's interesting. I don't know how, how you can really, it's not like, I mean, even if you're like an electrician, don't you have to, in your apprentices, and you have to sort of pass some kind of exam, right? To get your, like, to get your license to show some competencies, you can get some, I'm actually forward. You're going to be the wild, wild west with lawyers. Oh, do you think you'll, do you think you'll, would you be more confident going against a lawyer than never pass the bar? Like, would you expect, I'm a dustist bitch? Like he doesn't even know what it's like to really pound the payment. Well, I mean, I wouldn't say that just passing the bar is the beyond the way that you can be good lawyer or not, but the bar, it's easier, I think, to pass the bar if you've gone through law school, and it's sort of a, whether you pass it on the first time, or it takes you three or four times,
it's still usually sort of a litmus test that you, you're able to absorb, like, basic legal principles in law school. So if you're just practicing for, and you don't have to, it's one thing if you apprentice, and then you learn a lot while you're practicing, and then you just go take the bar and you pass it. I think, isn't that what Abraham Lincoln did? Something like that. Yeah. Yep. But I don't know is the test just going to be the client when the, you know, he does apprentice work, and then they give him a murder case, and then he just like, he just does it? I don't know. I don't know. Yeah, and I think it was for more DA and public defender jobs, because they got high vacancy rates. So, yeah. So they're not, I mean, do it. I don't give, I honestly don't give a fuck. I mean, any lawyer, it's just such a shitty thing, like who gives a fuck? Did you pass it on the first try? What do you think? Yes. Yeah. What do you think?
Ha ha ha ha. You're smart, good. Thank you. Kevin, I mean, the conversation was in that smart, but. We didn't give you prepped. You guys want to talk about anything? So, Kevin, so another issue that you're having is your bandmate, Amir, his friends and family, don't like dong songs. Kevin, your thoughts. Now, this is a more serious subject. Thank you. It's more just, I guess, every time, Amir posts or shares a story of us performing, he had a, I don't want to speak to him, but he has a certain friend. I think it's like a child or friend. So it's one person? I think it's one per, you got to ask him, but I think the main thing is just one person. And then basically, like every time, I don't know if he's
religious or something, but he's just a normal person from Amir's childhood. And every time he posts something, he'll hear something from this guy and basically telling him that if he keeps doing this, he will know a woman will ever be with him. Right. Basically, like from that guy's perspective, do you think if you were single and you hadn't met the love of your life, locked it down, made some babies? Would you be inclined to do so many songs about dong? Oh, yeah. I mean, I believe you can't stop me. I just look at a little differently. I think it's a good litmus test. If you are in a band, I mean, we're performing at venues. I mean, if you're in a band, you know, and you sing about this guy's dong, I think it's a good litmus test for the girl. Let's see if she has a sense of humor, if she sort of accepts you, if she's sort of chill.
If the instant reaction is in, I'm in this band and sort of a comedy band, and yeah, we might think about this as a guy's dong. If the instant reaction is just like zero since the humor, you're even like entertaining it. Like, let me see what this is. Yeah, the band's doing well. And this isn't the first kind of issue you guys have had because I heard at the San Diego show, a mere wanted to say to the audience, because you guys were saying you had small dongs. And a mere wanted to say, no, we sing about small dongs. I don't have a small dong. He wanted to say that to the crowd. He wanted me to announce to the crowd that he had a, this didn't include him because in case there's a girl in the crowd, he wanted to make sure that it was known that he also had a large penis. He does, and he does. I've seen the outline of it. He does have a big penis, yeah. Clip that. But the first thing is, the first thing is, first of all, that's not funny, announcing to everybody that you have a large penis. Second thing is, I did announce it.
I did announce it. Okay. I did announce it. Oh, those nice, you know, and then we get off stage and he was, he wasn't happy with, like, I didn't spend enough time on it. Like, we're supposed to dedicate two minutes to the crowd about how he all, he's concerned, there might be a girl in the crowd that's not gonna talk to me after the show, because we didn't sufficiently make it clear that he also has a large penis. Now, why are we thinking about your penis, man? Why aren't we just thinking about your dog? You know, why don't we just change it up? Why are we even joking the equation? Okay. I said it. Well, we, that's sort of the band arguments, but you're gonna have to ask him about his, his friend. I mean, I don't appreciate it. He made his point, you know, leave the guy alone. I made his point. He did something. Sometimes, wait, hold on. Yeah. A mirror was in a long term relationship, and the, the chose were not an issue in that, you know,
there, she came to our shows, she enjoyed it. So he has had a long term relationship while he has been in the, right? You can coexist. So, yeah, it's not, I do picture you guys, you guys both have family in Iran, which it's obviously going through an extremely turbulent time and it's super serious. And there's a block right now on internet access. I do like, when they get their internet back and they hit refresh on Instagram, and it's just 12 videos of a mirror talking about Joe's dick. Oh, I don't think that's an issue. Do you think, do you think that, do you think that, oh, it's nice that they can do that there? Yeah, Persons love dogs. Don't worry about it. Yeah, we're, we're fine with it. Okay. My understanding is that the person who's attacking him is of your, of the white persuasion. I'm, I'm Colombian, brother. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, what about, oh, what about,
oh, we'll, we'll, we'll do chat. Yeah, chat and, and our friend. Yeah, I'm wait. I, yeah, bro. Yeah, bro. I'm black. That's right. I, can I, you know, this happened to me in college, we named our house Cream Pie. And this one guy with his girlfriend passed by the house, he's like, why would you name your house Cream Pie? So disrespectful. Oh, what a bitch. And, sorry, he died soon thereafter. Yeah. I'll run. What's up, goes? No, that was a joke. Talk, she could hit. He, he, yeah, killed her, man. With a Cream Pie. Yeah, I just, Mother Dan with a Cream Pie. Yeah, I mean, look, some, some people, some people say, hey, you guys need a branch out and you need to just stop singing specifically about this one man's dog. And I,
you know, we're, we're actually discussing that because the blowback from, no, camera. I don't think, I'll write a song. I'll write a love song. You want me to write a love song? I'll write a fucking love song. I'm sure I would like to hear it. I would like to hear what else I got. I'm open to hearing it. We'll sell out. We'll sell out. You want us to sell out and then write a stupid song and then we'll post it on TikTok every, every five minutes and, you know, try to get into the algorithm or do you want us to sing about one specific, like the most specific, you know, the, the most niche band in the history of bands. Yeah, I think, I think you guys, we have two hundred followers, okay? And we're not growing because we're a real, this is real. We're not growing the purpose. This is it. We have two hundred, but they're strong. They're two hundred strong and they follow us. And we do content. We're so pure. We do content that can't even hit the algorithm because by the time you post it, there's so many dogs that the algorithm blocks it,
but we still keep doing it. What's that tell you about us? Integrity. You have a lot of integrity. We have a lot of integrity, okay? We're a real band and we're real, we're real artists. We're not selling out. We're not going online and ripping off somebody else's song and then posting it a million times and being famous and all of that. No, no, no, no, no, no, but, you know, whatever, we'll sell out. That's what you guys want. We'll sell out. All right. Well, Kevin, it was good talking to you, brother. We love you. Thank you for your electric every time, man. Thank you for coming on and just bringing it. And I just want to disclaimer from you guys. You called me voluntarily. You blindsided me with this legal question. You guys voluntarily talked about it and you have a... He gets very protective on illegal stuff, which is understandable. Yeah, but I just want you guys to acknowledge that. Yeah, yeah. Acknowledged. Yeah, we come from. And on top of that, acknowledgement, I will acknowledge Amir's penis. Yes, Amir has a big penis and that's real.
Yeah. Yeah, I mean, nice. I mean, proportional though. Like, are we talking about proportion? It's not like Joe's. Are we talking about proportionality? It's not big. Yeah. It's not like Joe's, but it's big. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, if any ladies are interested in it, you know, Amir is very nice guy. He's smart. He's very smart. He's very smart. In other aspects of genius. He really is. He just, he just, he says it's no big deal, but like, he'll just teach himself calculus. Yeah. And then he'll like laugh at me for being impressed by that. I'm like, I think that's, I don't know. I don't know a lot of people who would just pick up a textbook and go through that. Yeah. But on the airwaves, that is a penis we're sucking. Yes. By the way, what? So if a girl meets you, let's, let's, what's, it's Amir meets a girl, okay? So Amir, yeah, he is insane and he's in community college calculus right now. Just because he wants to bone up on calculus and he's also in community college woodworking, okay? So let's say he meets a girl on the street.
And, and he says one of two things to her. He says, hey, I'm in a band. I'm in a comedy band. And sometimes we, you know, we sort of think about our friend's massive piece. Or I'm in community college, which one, how can his friend isn't telling him about, hey, you need to get out of community college. You need to get out of community college because this is going to not gonna attract a woman to you. You know what I'm saying? Right. So you think a woman would be more turned off by him learning calculus than by him being in a band that only sings songs about his friend's dick. I don't know. JT, I saw him after class and, you know, he's, you know, he's plenty of community college girls in this class. I guess the experiment's on. Let's see if any of them fall in love with him. All right, fair enough. Let's get, we'll follow up with Amir next week and get his vantage point on it. But Kevin, again, thank you, brother. We love you. Thank you for the legal advice. Thank you for being so generous with your wisdom. Okay. All right. We'll see you guys later. Peace.
What do you think he's going off to do right now? I don't know. He could be in so many different places. He's starting to go to sea. Go to sea. Let's go to sea. We'll go and see. We got to get to sea.
