Ep. 45 - Kim Barton and The Share Center: Pregnancy Options

The Today Counts Show has not shied away from the topic of abortion (Episode 37) or adoption (Episode 39).  Today Jim Piper welcomes Kim Barton, director of The Share Center, to continue the discussion of both topics from a different perspective.  The Share Center is located in the Bulverde/Spring Branch area in south-central Texas.  The center's mission is to educate, support and empower women and men facing unplanned pregnancies or other sexual health related issues with professional medical care.  The hope is that their clients will chose life for their unborn child.  Kim shares her insights from seven years of working at the center and working with people struggling with unexpected pregnancies.  Life changing decisions are made and the staff at The Sharing Center do their best to supportively explain that there are options to abortion.  They will also continue to support new parents with training on parenting and other life skills.  Jim also asks Kim to share some thoughts on her journey as the leader of a non-profit organization.
